Everyone I spoke to was really nice, and I was able to get my flute serviced quickly. The instrument repair person is there on Wednesdays and Saturdays. They did a pretty good job, but definitely didn't polish my flute, which I was kind of disappointed about, especially since I asked it to be thoroughly cleaned (this was also indicated on my service ticket they typed up). I was able to polish it myself after I got it back with a silver polishing cloth that I had to purchase. They have a huge variety of instruments, accessories, and books! It does seem to be more catered to guitars/percussion, but they still had a decent selection for woodwinds and brass. They also have tons of teachers that do private lessons. I will definitely be returning if I need anymore repairs done, as they did a nice job with those!

But she had a concert coming up later in the week, so Mike was able to get it fixed in time for that. It became clear she needed a marching band flute. Mike suggested a used one at a great price. Turns out also the Gemeinhardt was being borrowed from her cousin. So I asked Mike for his recommendation for a concert flute. While my granddaughter is a freshman, she is lead flutist for the high school. Mike said he sold Di Zhao. We did a lot of comparison shopping and testing, but ultimately it was up to my granddaughter, as Mike said, because she knows what she likes in playing and the sound. Most schools recommend Yamaha. My granddaughter decided on the Di Zhao. She got an 801 BEF for a great price. Most importantly I could tell Mike liked musical kids! I watched him interact as they brought their instruments in for repair. I cannot thank him enough for the time, knowledge and courtesy in taking care of three problems for my granddaughter.
