Our biracial daughter attended this school 2 years ago and while the hours were nice and the teachers were nice to my face (I'm white), my daughter did not love it there. On several occasions, she explained that when there were disagreements at school, she was singled out and asked to remove herself from the group. The teachers never talked to me about it, so unfortunately, I dismissed it. I wish I didn't. After meeting with and speaking to other mixed race families and the few minority families, I am convinced this is a bigger problem. The worst part is, they don't think it's a problem, because they don't recognize that they are treating children differently. The school needs some major diversity training...or they can just stick to only caring for their white students, because that is what has kept them open all these years. For any mixed families, this is a hard pass. read more
