From early on my children were getting hugs and affection from the teachers which made me feel great every time I dropped off. They were always genuinely happy to greet me and my children every morning and afternoon. My children received an excellent preschool education there - and grew tremendously both socially and academically. Both of them have made amazing friendships with students and connections with teachers. Highlights for my children have been the home cooked lunches and healthy snacks, outdoor play time, thematic play based units, exposure to different languages and cultures, tinkering table, plays and performances, and classroom jobs. Ina and Mark, the directors, know each child and family personally and create a wonderful space for children to learn and play. My kids are not easy - they are loud and active, and the older has been diagnosed with Aspergers - but the teaching staff has been nothing but supportive, loving, and nurturing with them both, while instilling respect for the school rules and the peaceful classroom environment that they maintain. They have both grown and matured so much through their time here. There is a wealth of experience in the teachers (some have been at the school for 30 years!) which speaks to how invested they are in the school and its mission. As a bonus, I love some of the "extras" they teach to the traditional Montessori curriculum - Spanish, music, art and yoga have all been big hits with my kids. I'm glad that whatever awaits them in their future academic life, their first experience with it is one that they love and that has been so friendly and welcoming.

They have both thrived in the Montessori environment ... and have learned so much in such a short time. It is amazing to see such young kids making maps of the continents, Europe, the US and being able to identify small countries/states on a map (I think most kids are not exposed to a map of Europe until middle school!). The children have a weekly Spanish lesson, as well as music and yoga. I love the emphasis on a peaceful classroom, helping each other and showing respect to each other and the environment. In the afternoon Enrichment Program the younger children do amazing craft projects that they are always so proud of and the Friday afternoon baking projects are also a lot of fun. We have developed some wonderful friendships with the parents of our kids' classmates. It is great to meet parents that place the same emphasis on early childhood learning and the Montessori principles of independence, self- direction and respect for each other and the environment. The children also become very good friends and we continue to have regular "Kindergarten" reunions with my older son's classmates. I cannot recommend the school enough.

It's been a wonderful experience both for the boys and for us. Mrs. Perry taught in the Norwood school system for decades and her experience definitely shows. From the physical layout of the school to the curriculum, everything is very organized. The entire staff of teachers are amazing. They are able to perfectly blend learning with the social aspects of preschool. Mrs. Casey, Mrs O'Keefe and Mrs Shaw are all great at handling the day to day challenges that can arise with kids this age and we trust them completely. I can't overstate that - we have complete trust in all the teachers. Pick up and drop off are done by lining up the cars in the driveway and waiting until the staff come to the gate before you take your kids out of the car. This way there are never vehicles moving at the same time as the children. In the morning, parents walk the children up to the gate where the staff take them inside and in the afternoon, the staff keep the children inside the gate until the parents walk up to get them. When the first group of parents leave, the second group of cars can pull up to drop off or pick up. Very safe, very efficient. The 3 year old classes are Tuesday and Thursday, 4 year old classes are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 9am to 1pm. The kids have a snack in the morning and eat lunch at school. During the school year they will do arts and crafts projects that will help them learn every letter and number. They read stories and sing songs, and generally learn to socialize with classmates and follow directions from their teachers. There is usually at least one​ field trip a year, which is great for the parents and the kids. There are plenty of activities for indoor play including a train table, a play kitchen, dolls, a lego activity table and more. When the weather is nice enough to play outside, there is a playground and a grassy/astroturf area surrounded by a concrete track for the kids to ride bigwgeels around.
