I came here a couple weeks ago for a quick dinner to use some dine rewards. I was able to redeem a couple at once which was nice. I arrived around 5 PM on a Saturday and it was not crowded at all. I sat at a booth next to the bar and had a couple glasses of Chardonnay. I redeemed the appetizer reward for some fried mozzarella because I had been craving that for a bit. For the entree, I went with the carbonara. I enjoyed all of my food and drink here. It was hot, tasty and my server was friendly and made sure to check in regularly. Bread service was a perfect starter to! This location is close to the climbing gym so it was nice to be able to fill up after a good climbing session. I have been to this location a few times it's a chain restaurant plenty of parking at this location as it's in a shared shopping center. A The staff are typically nice. The food varies depending upon the Chef have gone here and had delicious meals and some that were not quite great. They are generous on the wine, They have these monthly wine dinners which are pretty good deal. Set up is Italian. As always, when I think about Italian food, I think about Carrabbas, they are easily one of the best itialan restaurants around. The menu selection is good and the food is amazing. I usually get the chicken Bryan, there is an insane amount of flavor on that dish, I wish I could eat it every day! The service is good and the restaurant is clean. Carrabba's, oh Carrabba's, how I wish every visit could be as wonderful as our experience last night! Our family has been part of the Carrabba's family since it became a chain, especially the location in North Myrtle Beach. Through the ups and downs, we have always continued to come here. We've been visiting the Independence Boulevard location for quite some time for family events. Sometimes the experience is good, sometimes not so much, but last night was especially great! We had a reservation for around 6:30, and they were able to accommodate us when we arrived on time without any issues. When we walked inside, we were pleasantly surprised by a decent crowd, which gave us hope for a good evening, and it certainly turned out to be just that. Our server was fantastic. She provided everything we needed and brought our orders to the table without any problems. I wish I could remember her name to give her a proper shout-out! We tried one of the specials, which was the sausage and fennel Arancini, and it was spectacular--the pairing with the marinara was a perfect complement. I ordered the Rigatoni Martino, which has always been a favorite of mine, and it didn't disappoint. Everyone at our table enjoyed their meals and had a great time. We've also been patronizing this location as long as they've been there. The food is respectable for a chain and portions plentiful! Sure, prices have steadily increased but what restaurant hasn't increased its prices? We were there on Easter Sunday, it wasn't packed, there was plenty of wait staff and a very attentive manager on duty. We attended the Calfornia wine tour dinner last night and had an amazing time with our family. The food and wine were excellant but the service and attention given to us by the staff was perfect. This experience fell so flat. Our waiter Tim was awesome and the chicken wings were cooked to perfection and served hot. But that's only highlight. I ordered the trio which came with chicken parm, Alfredo and lasagna and I asked for a side of extra sauce for the lasagna. Nothing was hot, lukewarm at best. Noodles were dry and cold. Parm had good flavor but still not hot, and the lasagna wkth the extra sauce on the side were both lukewarm. And my salad came out at the same time as my meal instead of first. But poor Tim seemed to have multiple tables, so he was doing his best and had a great attitude the whole time. We are currently quarantining with Covid so we have been placing a lot of orders for delivery. We ordered the chicken Marsala, two Caesar salads, kids ravioli and cannolis. Our meal came with bread and delicious spices and olive oil. The salad were delicious along with the bread. The ravioli was extremely salty so we wouldn't order it again, but the cannolis were delicious. It's so nice being able to order delivery and not leave the house. I was excited to try this restaurant and I was not dissappointed. I usually order with Postmates and did so with this order. I ordered several items from the Fettuccine Carrabba, Meatballs & Ricotta (very bad heartburn from these very greasy, but very tasty!), a NEW item the Tuscan Bread Tower that was to say the least FABULOUS and we ate them all!!! Cannoli Cake for Two, but was purchased for one that ate it all. Good sized portions, very tasty, my real issue is that I am a bit biast I am a professional chef for over 22 years and the pasta was very over cooked, sticking together and the sauce was minimal and clumped together. Can be as it is cream and cheese based I definately get that, but if you know this is a ToGo Order than loosen the sauce, provide some extra take it into consideration as it still was good, but I added cream, milk, butter, parmesaan cheese and seasoning to make more sauce and was very good. The ToGo Packaging could have some more thought put into it. When you order this much food and this many different dishes there should be cheese, peppers, utensils, etc. for all orders. My friends and I decided to come one Saturday afternoon. It was very slow and it still took the host over ten minutes to greet us to be sat. There were other servers in the restaurant but still no one came to greet us. They all saw us standing there and basically turned an eye on us. Finally once we were seated the server didn't take long to come to the table at least. We started out with some warm bread and oil and herbs. Then ordered our meals shortly after. I had the side house salad with parmesan dressing. The salad was really good but I wish it had more toppings. I ordered the spaghetti and marinara sauce. The pasta was simple but really good. It was definitely enough for leftovers too. I didn't want to fill up so I took most home because I wanted to leave room for dessert. The pricing partially answered why it was not crowded for lunch. However, what we ordered, we liked. Wife ordered rigatoni campagnolo ($17.79). Good sized portion of pasta with a tomato sauce and two circular slabs of goat cheese. The waitress came by to add parmigiana cheese and all mixed together it was a very nice, flavorful cheesy mixture with the pasta. Wife also had a side salad, large portion it was, with their house parmigiana dressing. To me the parmigiana dressing was too much, but my wife liked it and what do I know, anyway? I had a Johnny Rocco salad ($20.29) with grilled shrimp and it was delicious. Size was just right and it was very flavorful. My iced tea was fine and continually refilled ($3.39). Love Carreabbas and order from here frequently but the quality of food has been steadily declining. I always order the steak with marsala sauce and a house salad with extra dressing. I never get the extra dressing but worse than on three separate occasions I have received a steak that is chewy and inedible. Tough and filled with gristle, my $30 steak will be once again be going in the trash. The mushrooms used to appear fresh but now they're very clearly canned mushrooms. The flavor is still decent but with the main part of the dish being completely inedible it's no longer worth it to order from here. Spring 2021 or 2022: Cutting to the chase: Carrabba's now only gives you ONE side with your dish. We went this past weekend, MIL's birthday. Been here a dozen times, tried and true (not anymore) I USED to love the Chicken Bryan with broccoli and garlic mashed potatoes on the side. Now you have to PAY for second side option!? Totally and utterly disappointed. So I didn't get the Chicken Bryan on principle, and got basic spaghetti and meatballs. It tasted absolutely terrible, and this is coming from a man who at McD's for lunch for 6 months straight once. Two relatives got the basic grilled chicken, with their ONE side. The little chicken fillets diudn't look appetizing to me. I tried my wife's pasta, not good. I tried my SIL's pasta sauce, not my style. The place is wonderful but we had a few problems with our order. We were a party of 6, this past Sunday afternoon. We were sat immediately and it was slow but it took the waitress a little bit to come greet us. Placed an online order for delivery and was missing one on the entrees and two sides. Called the restaurant waited 10 minutes before someone answered the phone and was placed on hold again for another 10 minutes. Finally spoke with a person and explained that we were missing items and requested replacement and redelivery. They explained that they are short staffed and wouldn't be able to redeliver. Offered to refund the missing items and I could pick up it up. I explained the purpose of the delivery order is to avoid driving to the restaurant and asked if there would be any compensation for the inconvenience. They said the refund was all they could do and I could speak with a manager about any additional compensation. Spoke with Mel the kitchen manger and explained what happened with our order and again he said the same thing. What happened to customer service recovery ??? Apparently Carrabas doesn't give a crap about their customers when they have been inconvenienced. We will take our business to Olive Garden moving forward. read more
