From a broken screen door that Justin left jammed and broken without mentioning it to me, to an install guy named Nick, who took at least one video of our home and sent it to someone (have proof of that), to calling our house "rancid" while on the phone, which he was on ALOT (proof of that as well), to an apparent "miscommunication" (although I clearly state to both Justin and the other install guy called Grandpa) for what finish we wanted. Justin is to call on Monday with a "price adjustment" for the inconvience. However, now I need to caulk around 2 rooms to finish them, still have a broken screen door to fix myself, AND have a video of my home circulating the internet! Shopper beware!!!!!!

It seems like every other day I find another piece of tape, more dust, or cigarette butts. They did a great job on the floor and that's what really matters but after they left I spent HOURS wiping walls, countertops, molding, windows; seriously, hours. The mess of dust that was left in one of the bathrooms was ridiculous, it was literally caked to the countertops. I spoke to others who've had their floors refinished and none of them reported any significant amount of cleaning. If they had cleaned up after themselves as well as they had serviced the floors then I would absolutely recommend them. However, I cannot with the amount of time that I had to spend cleaning up after the job. Update: I keep finding unpleasant surprises from these guys. Just came across some brush spray marks from the floor stain behind one of the doors.

We left a message with little hope of a return call since we had been experiencing poor service from every other service provider with whom we had been dealing. Within an hour, Jon called us back and gave us some options for our floors as well as an estimate based on our measurements and description of the condition of the floors. We then set up an appointment for the NEXT DAY for Jon to take a look. He was on time and professional referencing both myself and my boyfriend who wasn't able to be there by name. He was informative and attentive, taking measurements, and answering all of my questions with patience. He provided a verbal estimate and then emailed it to me later that day. After receiving the emailed estimate, I called him to confirm when he would be able to start and he was able to begin the very next day. He told me the job would take 2 days and it did. Jon and his partner Chris were on time and provided prompt and clear communication during our 2 day project. As someone who works in the service industry, I am very critical of the service I receive. Tim Crane, the owner. Was hired mid March by my boyfriend. To do 8k worth of work. To his house he…read moreis trying to sell. 8k that did not include materials. My boyfriend, Ryan. Bought all of the materials seperately. They contract was signed. And Ryan gave Tim 4k up front. As contractually obligated. On 4/3 Tim texted Ryan to say he wanted to back out of said contract. We went to the house and observed one room fully painted. And the rest of the walls that had been touched, unfinished. The property was then locked up. And within the next couple of days. Several texts were exchanged between Tim's wife(very weird situation) and Ryan. Asking if Tim could get right, could he finish the work. At that time Ryan advised her. He would rather not, due to the situation. Ryan then asked for a refund for the remaining balance he paid. And was told that "they", the wife and Tim. Didn't have the money. So now we are out $4,000. With maybe $150 worth of work done at the property. Posts to FB pages have also been made by Tim. Looking for more contracting jobs. All within the time frame since. And on the actual day he backed out of the contract. Using pictures of ny boyfriends house. Which makes us wonder if he's been in the home. After the contract breaking. I would not recommend this company or person to do anything whatsoever. ​​

The next day, the carpet crew arrived and within several hours wrapped up the job professionally, efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. Communication throughout the process was excellent. Nothing but problems. Started off by trying to overcharge by overestimating square footage by…read moreabout 5%. Showed up late every day and took 5 days instead of 4 as promised. The sanding looked good at first, but once the stain went on, there were two big obvious marks (see photo of one example), which they claimed must have been there before, but as someone who crawled around on my hands and knees pulling nails and staples after pulling up the carpet, it definitely wasn't. A closer look after the poly dried showed extensive sander scratches (see the other photo for an example), which would have been sanded down if they were there before. Had asked about putting painters tape on the baseboards, but was assured it wasn't needed, only to have them cover the white baseboards with dark stain. Scratched one bathroom floor with the doors they took off, broke a small glass pitcher in the other bathroom, didn't tell us about either. Got dark stain on the walls then discolored the paint when they tried to wipe it off with mineral spirits. They only put one coat of "sealer" on and one coat of poly, not 3 coats like other floor companies. The stain job on the landing of my stairs is bad enough that I'm considering redoing it myself (there are 2-toned areas, drip spots, and the rest of it is significantly lighter than the rest of the stairs). To top it off, they left us all of their garbage and tried to double deposit one of the checks.

They cleaned it up, removed 2 to 3 inches of soil, and trimmed everything.. They moved things around for me because the original owners had planted stuff too close together. I didn't put in anything new, just moved stuff around. Then they put down weed barrier fabric and new mulch. My downspout extensions were shot. They replaced them, put them underground, and added a pop-up drain. I am not only thrilled with the job that they did, but they were also a pleasure to work with. Marvin and Jordon are very accomodating, do nice work, and go out of their way to make sure the job is done the way you want it. They are both professional and personable.
