It was one of the best bit of luck ever, and seven years later, I have found her to be the best PCP of my adult life. She is highly competent. She is reluctant to prescribe drugs unless they are necessary and knowledgeable about which drugs are best. She is reluctant to order tests, but more than willing when they are indicated. She is very familiar with PAMF's specialists and has routinely sent me to excellent choices. But those are merely icing. The cake is that she listens carefully, explains thoroughly and knows medicine extremely well. She works hard to keep current and will research unusual symptoms on those rare times when she is unfamiliar with them. I can't ask for a better doctor and hope to be her patient for a long time.

I think people forget that we're all human beings and thus we can all act differently. Personally I care less about someone being a buttoned up professional, especially now that I've met her. She is quick and talks fast. Sometimes I would end up waiting longer to see her than my appointment itself in the beginning which annoyed me at first, but I don't leave feeling like I didn't get enough out of her and that's what's important. She is very warm and personable, remembers things about my personal life and shows genuine care. She has not only helped me lose weight but has gone out of her way to maximize my results and tailor everything to my needs, and in a way that I don't feel things are being "sold" to me. On the contrary, she has gone out of her way to get more affordable options for me. She is as much my hype person as she is my doctor. I've lost 40 lbs healthily under her care since October and don't plan on stopping anytime soon. All of the Avita MD staff from the front desk to nurses are all very kind too. They made her sign a document and suggested some test saying they are covered. Later during billing had bills of around 400$ when we have everything covered for routine checkup. They have unnecessary phone call to tell about the lab report which can be just an email. They charged 220$ for a 5 min phone call. Never had such experience.

I have a PPO and was concerned I would be paying my deductible since a meet and greet is not considered preventative medicine. She then states she doesn't have to charge my insurance and I can pay $150. Horrible, will not go back. I had to take time off work to spend a few min telling her my history and walk out w nothing except a medical bill.
