Ordered a hamburger steak, cooked medium, emphasized hot pink in the center, with corn on the cob and french fries. Food comes out, the hamburger steak was very well done. Instead of taking my plate away, she scooped the hamburger steak onto a saucer because she had to prove to the cook that it's burnt. I wait 10 to 15 minutes for the replacement, and that's all that comes out. Corn is cold, fries are cold. I mention that to her, no response. The corn was sitting in a small dish of butter. No way to eat it, except picking it up with my bare hands, butter running down my hands. Plenty of seating available, they stuck us in a cubby that felt like we were in sardine can. Had to take my wife's bag back out to the vehicle because there was nowhere to put it. So much for the ambience. Been there, done that, never again. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because my wife did enjoy the lobster and crab bisque.

There were only three people working and the young cashier was so sweet. I ordered a foot-long hotdog with onion rings and my husband ordered 12 wings: 6 mild and 6 medium. We got our drinks and sat down. The Cook came out and said the mild and medium are the same thing and my husband said that's fine. Not really sure why they have mild and medium on the menu if it's the same thing, lol. The girl who brought out our food had no personality and didn't even speak, but the food speaks for itself. The hotdog was so good. The onion rings were crispy and just perfect. My husband loved the wings. He scarfed those things down. I tried one and they were so good. We will definitely be back to try everything on the menu and try all the different flavors of wings.

Family owned since 1960, and you can feel that in every part of the experience. The parking lot was packed when we got there, which is always a good sign. We grabbed a booth and the sweet tea came out right away with a pitcher so you can refill it yourself, which is a small thing but I appreciate it. Ordered the flounder and shrimp and it came piled on a paper platter with fries, slaw, and the hush puppies. And those hush puppies are seriously worth talking about. Big, hot, crispy outside, soft inside. The portions overall are ridiculous in the best way. The seafood platter is a good call if you can't decide, flounder, perch, catfish, deviled crab, shrimp and oysters all on one plate. The slaw is creamy and fresh, not the watery kind. They also had homemade cake slices up front and we grabbed a piece on the way out. There's a warmth and a character to this place that you just can't fake. Glad it's still here.

I paired it with fried squash (with ranch), broccoli casserole, and a roll. The service is always great. They check on you and keep your beverage filled (for me that is a Jumbo unsweet tea).
