OMG. They are very unprofessional. I was treated very rudely by the front desk (Sara). She was using Negative and unprofessional Language. She is really rude and has a bad attitudes. NEW Honestly I'm shocked by the attitude from the front desk. I scheduled an appt for my daughter and could not make it , so I scheduled the next day. I take responsibility that I was late, but they acted as if they didn't want my business and gave me a card for another dentist. During this exchange the front desk lady was extremely rude and told my father and daughter how late we were as if we didn't know already lol. They just lost prospective clients. I do not recommend this dentist to anyone. Based off of the other bad review, it looks like they turn people away frequently. read more

My 89 year old father recently went to Dr Daderian for a general check up as he recently moved to San Juan and needs a new dentist. Extensive X-rays were taken. Recommendations were made as to the work he needed done. He liked Dr Daderian but wanted to get a second opinion. I called and spoke to Sarah (receptionist) and requested she forward the X-rays (which my dad paid for) to another local dentist. She said she would do so. She never forwarded the X-rays so I called to request again. She was quite belligerent and said she would send me 'proof' via email that she had forwarded the X-rays. Needless to say, the X-rays were never sent to the other dentist. So my Dad had to have another set of X-rays taken. It is common practice to forward X-rays between dental offices. The end result is Dr Daderian lost a potential new client. And my Dad had to pay for a second set of X-rays which was completely unnecessary. read more

First - a little background. I was always totally fine with going to the dentist as a kid, even playing "dental chair" in my mom's lap when I was young (she's a former dental hygienist). I did not grow up afraid of the dentist at all. Fast forward to my teenage years when I experienced some major trauma with a dentist who did not believe me that I could feel everything she was doing in my mouth post-Novocaine. Something about my metabolism burns through anesthetic FAST. The normal one shot would numb me for about 20 minutes, but time after time, I'd begin feeling the drill and intense pain. After being told it was all in my head and there was no way I should be able to feel anything, I developed a severe phobia of dental work and just never went unless absolutely necessary in an emergency situation. Every time I stepped into a dentist office it was immediate tears, shakes and hyperventilating. And I swear you guys, I'm usually NOT dramatic. Needles, fine. Blood, fine. Bruises, fine. Dentist - meltdown. Cue Carol. I am so grateful for her. Of course, my immediate tears helped tell my story, but she actually listened and believed me that I need extra anesthetic and some extra understanding/care. Not only did she take extra care in trying different types of anesthetic, giving me several shots, double checking literally every 5 seconds that I couldn't feel anything... she also put together a plan to address and overcome my phobia by pre-medicating with anxiety medication before appointments. Eventually I am already seeing how I will, thanks to my trust in her, not need that in the future as I continue to undo the mental damage previous dentists had done. I needed a filling and when she was working on me noticed the tooth next it needed work too and she did that tooth at the same time. Not just Dr. Daderian but her entire staff is amazing. Dr. Daderian is a nice person- a member of her Chamber of Commerce and so on. In the past I recommended her to friends and brought in family members. My cleaning was scheduled for tomorrow and I received a call from her Receptionist telling me I could no longer be a patient. She said I would receive a letter of explanation and a check. (Apparently I overpaid her the last time I was there- over 6 months ago and she is going to return the funds-points for honesty but not timeliness). The Dr. had referred me to an Endodonist- Dr Odell and I felt Dr. Odell's actions lacked integrity so I complained to my insurance company. Apparently, per the receptionist, this is the reason she cannot tolerate me as her patient. I am not sure why she has an issue with this as she was not mentioned in the complaint- I can only assume these two are friends and that is why. In the end I would have appreciated the Dr. addressing me personally since I am her patient and not asking her Receptionist to do her dirty work. I would have appreciated knowing a bit sooner then the day before my cleaning- again professional courtesy. So I typed into yelp-"Best Dentist in Orange County" and selected the person on the list after reading countless positive Yelp reviews. That is why I am taking a moment to write this review. I think when you trust a health care person they have a responsibility to treat you with respect and like an adult. That is something I was not able to experience with Dr. Daderian. I hope this next Dentist will be better. By the way, Dr. Daderian's name didn't come up at all on the list for best dentists. At least now I know why. read more
