To add to my * review on 12/9/25, I spoke to the insurance company and this office made the insurance plan change in October 2025, to one that has a higher payout resulting in patients paying the balance between what the insurance pays them and what they billed out. They knew two months before my appt, yet they waited until exactly 24 hrs. before my appt. to tell me about the change. They even sent me a text message appt reminder and I had also called to confirm prior. After speaking to other dental offices they all confirmed a 30 day notification was customary when insurance changes. I received none of these. Decent care or not, this is a testament to how they "value" their clients which clearly speaks for itself. I am not the only one this happened to. Beware! read more

Follow up visit and again the atmosphere and environment are exceptional. Everyone I came in contact with is extremely friendly and seemingly very happy to be working there. On this visit, the dental hygienist, Grace, was very informative every step of the way on a deep cleaning, telling me what she would be doing as she proceeded. To top that off, I received follow-up texts from Grace to see if I had any issues, soreness, etc. and the progress of the Lidocaine wearing off. That type of follow up is something I have never experienced from a dentist office and is certainly above and beyond. read more

A couple of weeks ago I had a screaming tooth pain that started on a Saturday. I Thought I could ride it out but by Monday it was out of control. All of this was happening while I was about to travel across the country within a couple of days. I called the office of Dana Ghorab DDS, PC on a recommendation of a family friend, I am so glad I did. They told me what to do to help the pain and gave me an emergency appointment for Tuesday. During the appointment I was told that I would need a root canal. They recommended a specialist that could treat me immediately and sent me on my way. They went out of their way to help me in a crisis and were happy to do it. I could not recommend this office or dentist more. read more

This review is an update as I wrote one back in 2013 after just starting with this practice. My whole family has been seeing her now for 7 years including my 3 kiddos. Dr. Ghorab is superbly thorough, skilled and incredibly ethical. She always has the patients best interest in mind. I cannot recommend her and her office enough! I was recommended by a friend to visit Dana and I'm so happy I did. I live in LA so yes, it's a drive, but having a great dentist is priceless and so hard to find -- but I found one with Dana! Ive been going to this dentist office for the past 7 years. After moving to san clemente i was apprehensive about a new dentist. As soon as i walked into the office all of my anxiety disappeared. The office is always clean and the staff is very friendly. Overall the techs are all nice, a few who are judgy when you dont floss daily. But overall a great experience. I love Dr Ghorab! I've been to plenty of dentists, and have never been to one that I trust. My previous dentist told me I needed 4 cavities, which I thought was weird, because I take excellent care of my teeth, and never had cavities even as a child. Dr Ghorab told me there was only 1 that may turn into a cavity, but told me how to take care of it to prevent it. She could have easily just filled it and charged me for it. She spent a lot of time telling me to care for my teeth. She's also a really warm and friendly person, and made me fee like she cares about her patient's health and doesn't just see it as a business. The office is gorgeous, and feels homey instead of a dentist's office. Her staff is super friendly and great at what they do. I'm relieved to finally find a dentist I trust. read more

At my dental appointment last week, I was leaving the office and Norma at the front desk was processing my purchase of a $20 product sold to me. She asked me to come behind the front desk to put in my debit card pin number. I then watched her take a photo copy of the front and back of my visa debit card and put it in a drawer at the front desk. I asked her why a paper copy of my personal credit card information was required and she said the machine was not working and she would have to run it another day / time. I explained that I did not feel comfortable with paper copies of my personal and private information being taken at which time she got verbally upset with me because I would not leave my credit card information with her - not a good practice for any business! I paid by check and left. Today, my teenage son arrived for his cleaning and he was told directly by Dr. Ghorab that his appointment was cancelled and a letter was mailed to us "excusing" our family permanently from the practice. I checked my mailbox and there was certainly a letter stating they were unable to "establish good communication and trust between the patient, Doctor and Staff and that we should be treated at another dental office" - all because I asked for my personal and private credit information to not be copied and transacted at a later time. We were shocked to see such a letter after four years of being a loyal customer. I was foolish to think that I would receive a phone call apologizing how Norma spoke to me. If you have any concerns about your financial, personal and private information please think twice. Update: It was brought to my attention that Norma is Dr. Ghorab's mother. If this is the case, I feel more at ease with the letter understanding I could not continue to service someone who had a conflict with my mother. read more

I was looking for a new dentist and found Dana on yelp but I actually work next door. So it was super convenient. Making an appointment was easy and everyone is so nice! It is a family based business which I love because she cares about her clients and their needs. After I had a cleaning and xray done I didn't feel pressured to do everything she suggested so I did the necessities only. Her and her team were very thorough and went over everything they were doing. Stuff I didnt even know because no one has explained it to me before. This is my first visit! My daughter had her visit yesterday. This is best dental experience I've ever had! I was nervous and embarrassed I had neglected my teeth for awhile. I felt completely comfortable and a very realistic plan of resolution was presented. I communicated that I get sick from the numbing and the dentist used a different numbing injection and for the first time in my life I didn't have a reaction. Like most people, going to the dentist isn't something that's too pleasurable! But this dentist is great. Heidi is fab and super sweet, gentle and good at her job. Dana herself did a lot of work on my teeth and I'm happy with the results. Despite having one 4 hour session to get a 2 fillings, a crown, deep clean and had to be numbed several times, I felt no pain and was treated with care. I saw Dr. Ghorab after a long gap in between visits to the dentist. I knew that I was due for a deep cleaning but was really nervous about it since I had recently switched to private insurance. I had read lots of horror stories about people being up-sold on procedures that their insurance wouldn't cover. I had voiced this concern to Dr. Ghorab when I was making the appointment and she did the research prior to my visit to let me know how much coverage I would get/need - just so there were no surprises later. On the day of the visit I found Dr. Ghorab and her staff to be very professional. The appointment started on time and there was none of the usual up-sells that you see everywhere these days. The visit itself was pleasant (well as pleasant as a deep cleaning could get). During the lengthy procedure the staff made sure that I remained comfortable throughout. I had to make another follow up appointment for the following week to have a filling put in. Unfortunately, due to severe traffic delays I was running almost an hour behind schedule. I ended up rolling in more than an hour late and was fully expecting to be turned away and/or rescheduled for another day. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told that Dr. Ghorab would make the time to see me. In fact she stayed past her normal hours to make sure that my filling was put in place - properly. This is the kind of customer service that you hardly see any more. Furthermore, on both occasions Dr. Ghorab followed up personally the next day to see how I was doing. This is something that I had never experienced from a dentist before. I would recommend Dr. Ghorab to anybody in the area looking for a new dentist. Dr. Ghorab and staff - keep up the excellent work! I have gone to Dr. Ghorab for the last 4 years for all of my dental needs as well as my entire family. After reading a few recent reviews I felt I should leave one myself that really shines a better light on this office because it's absolutely amazing and people deserve to know more! Up front is Norma, Dr. Ghorab's mom who is so wonderful. She will work endlessly with your insurance (which is nice because that's technically us patient's responsibility) to make sure you are given as close as an estimate as possible should you need any treatment. She is so great with reminders and with working with your schedule as much as possible to find days or times that work the best for you. She's also such a sweetheart! In the back are two wonderful hygienist, Andi and Yvette who are super gentle, but thorough. As a dental hygienist, it's their job to educate us on hygiene and tips to keep our teeth and gums healthy. Crazy how some people think that's being talked down to when to me it's super informative and I appreciate all the fantastic tips they give me as I want my teeth as long as possible! And lastly, Dr. Ghorab... I couldn't say enough wonderful things about her! If you ever want a dentist who cares about YOU and YOUR dental health and not about what you have in your wallet, she's the one. She's not a super aggressive dentist, she has the best recommendations and options given to you. She actually takes her time to explain everything to you and I never feel likes she's rushing to get to the next patient. She shows me things on my X-rays so I can have my own visual of what's going on. I love knowing I can trust everything that she recommends for me. This office treats you and your family like their own family. She's patient with my young child, takes her time, let's her see her cool tools (not the scary looking ones) and explains to her the process of what's going to happen so my youngster isn't so anxious. She also gets to dig in the treasure box when she's done which she loves! Dr. Ghorab also offers payment plans, not many offices do that.
