The food was on the table only about five minutes before she arrived, and with warm sandwiches and soup involved, the timing mattered. Everything was just the right temperature when we sat down to eat. We both ordered the Uptown Gal--roast beef, giardiniera, Dijon aioli, arugula, and white cheddar on house focaccia. The flavors were spot on, and these are substantial sandwiches. In fact, next time we could probably share one. We also shared the jalapeño Parmesan artichoke dip, which was excellent. We enjoyed some there and brought the rest home. The soups didn't have the same opportunity--we polished those off pretty quickly. Very flavorful. The iced tea was clearly freshly brewed and quite strong, which I actually prefer because I can adjust it to taste. It came in a generously sized glass as well. Lucille is a small place, but they've made very good use of the space. The interior is attractive and has a slightly modern, new-age feel. There was a steady stream of people dining in and picking up orders, and it wouldn't take many more customers to fill the place. I also noticed a nice wine selection and an espresso machine. One other thing stood out: the employees seemed genuinely happy to be there. Lots of smiles and a pleasant atmosphere throughout our visit. Excellent food, generous portions, good timing, and a staff willing to accommodate a customer who showed up a little ahead of schedule. An easy five stars from us.

It had roasted turkey, avocado, tomato and on a roll. The soup of the day was an Orzo soup. I wish it would have been hotter and more soup like, but it was STILL DELICIOUS. I do get kinda disappointed when I go in there because they have tea, but no lemonade and I'd love an Arnold Palmer... They should put that on their menu I did order the coffee cake. It was good, but I wish there was something more to it. It was a little dry.

Can't imagine how the girls make it 8 to 10 hours a day in that heat one would think they would at least wear shorts to stay cooler. We have been to other fruit stands in hotter areas that use a misting system to keep the interior at least 10 to 20° cooler without any moisture or water on the floor. Speaking for ourselves, we would spend more time shopping if the temperatures were more pleasant don't need AC, but just something to kind of break the temperature a bit. A high pressure misting system would keep the employees more comfortable and the shoppers and results. They'd probably spend more money. Next time we go, we're gonna buy the girls shorts so I can keep cool.

Their back room opens up to their mixing operation with barrels on barrels of wine vinegar. They have the best aged red wine vinegar around! The lucque olives are not your typical briny olives that we get at the market, and the flavor was fresh and delicious. As you would expect picking a fresh olive I would imagine. We tried both the roasted garlic & herbs as well as roasted garlic & jalapeno and herbs. Both were an amazing addition. Another delicious treat was Hunter's pistachios. These are not simply dusted like you may find at the market, they really flavor them well and you can see and taste the seasonings on the shell. We tried both the mild (hatch chilis, garlic, and sage), as well as the hot (jalapeno, garlic, and sage). Both were truly amazing, although my husband preferred the hot variety as they had a nice kick. We also were able to try some pure lemon syrup. With a sweet lemony flavor, it is truly good on so many things. We enjoy it as a glaze on chicken, fish, or in tea. I will be trying it on ice cream next!!! We keep coming up with new uses all the time as we love the flavor of this syrup. I am dying to restock and try the sweetened and dipped orange and lemon slices the next time.
