Loved this farm stand. I fly to the Denver area every year to purchase 4-5 bushels of roasted green…read morechile to take back to central Florida. The chile was meaty & roasted to perfection. I'll be back next chile season.

I read how all of New Mexico's chili farms were being converted to GMO and the people of New Mexico were outraged (*see footnote, link below). I found this article in my archives but what of the seeds..it's all convoluted now. My family has been buying chili in the Denver area since the 40's. I grew up with the process and eating it and I can testify that chili is much different by comparison. This year I returned to my reliable vendors and the chili was a pathetic version of the original, I went to a new guy in Golden and it's like dealing with a shell game and the chili was sorry also. I then decided to go BACK to Lulu's farm. I ordered a bushel and the bag I got was brimming with chile, probably a bushel and a half. I got home, tasted the chili and (literally) the chili's texture and taste was like eggplant. I was shocked but I remembered that on the way home from the farm that the inside of the car smelled only faintly of green chili...I returned everything I bought from them that day...I simply don't trust the label AND I actually gave Lulu's a second chance that day. 8 months ago I bought 8 bags of frozen chile...all of it was worthless...just can't seem to get away from it.. I returned the items in the pics and there was no argument, no questioning. There were two young girls who appeared. They quickly grabbed the bag of chili as if they were on a mission from God and bolted down the aisle and straight to the back...odd...I was shocked by the manager. There was no concern but later I realized I wasn't the only one to complain to her. In conclusion, I must say that Lulu's has the best market I've seen in Colorado, now...if they can get the chili situation figured out then they just may have something! *https://www.foodrepublic.com/2012/03/19/gm-chiles-ignite-outrage-in-new-mexico/ Regards,

Palazzi Farms is my #1 favorite thing about where we live now. It's always a treat to see what's…read moreavailable today. We moved to Denver from a rich agricultural area in central New York and desperately missed farm fresh produce and the culture of road stands and farm markets until we moved out here. I find the Palizzi family to be very in tune with their community and customers, exercise admirable business acumen, and provide great produce for us to enjoy. Especially their amazing corn! I feel Palizzi Farms is a treasure that is highly valued by the surrounding community. I do not understand why local officials have allowed the current threat they're facing to their business by any other development. They have enough to manage running a very successful family business. They should be protected as should other existing contributors to our economy, especially a business with the economic and cultural impact of Palizzi's.

They also have $6 fresh eggs for a dozen. Some produce items were a little more expensive than others and didn't look as fresh as other markets. I'd return again for the eggs and for kids to play although it was a little warm inside for a hot summer day. Lots of pretty flower baskets too!
