Nice little market with unique items like cactus fruit and extra large mangos. The inside was cute with tables and games for kids along with pies and cherry juice from Colorado Cherry Pie. They also have $6 fresh eggs for a dozen. Some produce items were a little more expensive than others and didn't look as fresh as other markets. I'd return again for the eggs and for kids to play although it was a little warm inside for a hot summer day. Lots of pretty flower baskets too! read more

Palizzi Farms from Brighton, CO has been growing delicious hand picked produce since 1929. At their farm stand in Brighton, they not only have garden veggies & fruits, but flower baskets, salsas, sauces, jams & much much more. You can find them in many Denver metro Farmer's Markets as well. Check out their website for more info & locations. I discovered them one Sunday at the Central Park (Founder's Green) Farmer's Market - 29th & Roslyn (8:30AM -12:30PM). At Founder's Green look for the yellow tents & big white truck every week, rain or shine thru about mid-October. I was told they've been at that same spot for 20 years. The produce looks like it could appear on a Food Magazine cover! It's beautiful. Everything is bigger, brighter & better than what you'd find in the grocery aisles. Over the weeks I've tried many of the veggies & fruits, sometimes they have yummy samples. The two owners ( I think they are the owners), are there each week - one helps customers with the produce & the other weighs & takes payment. They're friendly & super helpful. They've given tips on microwaving corn on the cob & offering to cut off the very long tops of carrots. Speaking of corn....if you're a corn lover their Peaches & Cream Corn on the Cob is definitely worth getting, so fresh & sweet. Palizzi Farms Produce is the best! read more

Produce is great and I am willing to pay a bit extra for it. I dread going here because they are rude and unfriendly. Do not expect customer service. The other place down the road has great customer service but not as good of produce.... My wife and I went today to the corn and chili roast. We purchased numerous items. We would have purchased more except they want to charge 3% to use our debit card or a credit card. With corn being $1.00 per ear I know they make enough profit to absorb the fee. My wife and I are also retired so to spend $100.00 and be charged $3.00 to pay for it is absurd. I put back 0ver $40.00 of items because I didn't have enough cash! I refuse to pay a few to buy! read more

One of the best Farm Fresh produce grocers in this area! With fresh fruits and veggies straight from local farms. And THE best sweet corn anywhere! But Palizzi Farms is so much more. All fresh! I always get my flowering plants here in then spring. Lots of canned and pickled goods. They roast fresh green chilis in the late summer. They offer locally made garden ornaments. Because they are farm to market fresh, they are closed during the winter. They will reopen in 2023 right after Easter. Palazzi Farms is my #1 favorite thing about where we live now. It's always a treat to see what's available today. We moved to Denver from a rich agricultural area in central New York and desperately missed farm fresh produce and the culture of road stands and farm markets until we moved out here. I find the Palizzi family to be very in tune with their community and customers, exercise admirable business acumen, and provide great produce for us to enjoy. Especially their amazing corn! I feel Palizzi Farms is a treasure that is highly valued by the surrounding community. I do not understand why local officials have allowed the current threat they're facing to their business by any other development. They have enough to manage running a very successful family business. They should be protected as should other existing contributors to our economy, especially a business with the economic and cultural impact of Palizzi's. read more

The owners and cashiers are always friendly and the summer produce is bountiful right now. Their corn is consistently good quality and it's rare I find a worm. They are easy to pick off if the occasional critter does pop up. Jam, fruit, chips, tortillas, and a variety of vegetables plus roasted chiles are in stock now. read more

Horrific experience with Palizzi's. The owners have no couth or customer service and the experience was utterly appalling. I purchased over $100+ of flowers from them and once I got home and began planting I realized that every flower I had purchased had pests. Slugs were found throughout. Each plant was infested with hoppers and slugs. When I called to discuss this issue she ask me to come in with a flower for proof. I accommodated and returned with one of the flowers I'd purchased that was riddled with slugs. It was clear she was hoping to brush me off as she claimed that slugs weren't pests and that there was nothing she could do. I pressed her and refused to accept her denial as sufficient given the proof in her hands. Instead of apologizing or providing a refund she turned to the cash registers, through open the drawer, and flung a couple twenty dollar bills in my face screaming "don't come back! Your kind isn't welcome here!". She then took the flower (that I had purchased and brought in for proof) and flung it against the wall. Shocking and distasteful to say the least! I have never been so poorly treated or so shocked in all of my life. It's clear customer service is not a priority and pest control isn't either. It's unfortunate because I opted to shop local opposed to giving Home Depot or Costco my money, but it's clear that big box stores have customer service policies that are appropriately implemented opposed to this local yokel. I strongly encourage anyone to take their money elsewhere where the plants and people have to be better than here! read more

Disgusting! Stopped in today to pick up corn. They are FULL of grubs/worms! When I put down the two ears containing WORMS ... I was scolded due to "the virus." Umm. No. The pandemic isn't an excuse for selling rotten products and having poor customer service. Even the browsing I did before reaching the corn wagon looked poor. The jalapeños appeared shriveled and mushy. Walmart's produce looks significantly better. I won't be back. Supporting "local" works in both directions. read more

I have been coming to Palizzi farm for years. I've always purchased sacks of corn. In September 2020 I purchased a sack as usual only to drive back to Denver and discover the corn was very old. I called and the guy said I could exchange it so I drove all the way back to Brighton. When I got there the guy basically called me a liar and deducted $5.00 from the returned corn. I went back in September 2021 and purchased another sack, it wasn't as bad as last year but not like it used to be. I also purchased a 1/2 bushel of dynamite chili. Very disgusted with that one!! The chilies were about 3 to 4 inches long and had no meat to them. I went back today and looked at the dynamite chili. It looked so beautiful and was very meaty. I have pics but not sure how to attach them. They are pretty bad. I don't think I will be returning to their farm either!!! read more

After months of driving past this place, my Husband and I decided to check it out. We walked in and the guy working was on the phone, we weren't greeted at all. No smile or even acknowledgement that we were there. We walked around for a bit and the man finally got off the phone, and still, no acknowledgment. After looking at the produce, which is overpriced and being ignored we left. We won't be back. If you want to support a local farm (which we do on a weekly basis), go to Johnson Farm & Apiary! I want to thank Palizzi Gardens for their plant sale every spring. For the past three years I have gone there and bought my vegetables for my summer garden. I only buy the $2 dollar plants and they have done wonderful. All have grown to large and produce abundant vegetables. My family lives on the other side of town and spend 10x on their plants and only get a quarter of the produce. I love the quality of the vegetable plants and the price can't be beat!! This place has a some great, truly fresh-from-the-farm stuff. But be careful how you spend your dollars. Some of the produce is far cheaper at the neighboring King Soopers, and just as fresh and tasty. I love their corn and onions. But all of their fruit seemed to be rotten when we were there - plums, peaches, etc. were really squishy and soft. I think it could have been caused by the miserable heat; there is no A/C here. It's not a very big place but they do have a good selection of vegetables - corn, onions, asparagus, potatoes, etc. Again, if you're budgeting, King Soopers has some of the same vegetables for a little less. I don't think anyone can beat their corn deal though at four for $1.00. And it is really, really tasty corn! Also, their customer service isn't that great and whomever the cashier was that day was not a very friendly lady. Maybe she was hot, but still, don't be rude and grumpy to your customers. I haven't been back since for that very reason. But, I'm going to assume it was just an off day for her because I will return again...I want more of that CORN! Oh, and they only accept cash, but there is an ATM inside. ***UPDATE: I returned here again in September for their chili festival. Roasted chilis at about $20-30 per bushel and they were really, really good. I met the owner that day who also seemed a bit.....I won't say rude, because she wasn't, but there were a couple of times when she said she'd help with something and then disappeared. I get that they're busy and distracted but there are also TONS of people looking for work - hire someone to help work your events so you get reviews stating how awesome your customer service is, rather than how much it is lacking. I also encountered the woman I met the first time, whom I think may be the owners (adult) daughter, who was once again not very friendly. Is it too much to ask for someone to look me in the eyes when they are speaking, to ask if I found everything okay, to thank me for my patronage? I used to really like this place but was VERY disappointed this year when we went to get corn. We drive quite a distance (Watkins) and was shocked to have to pay $1 an ear and they are not nearly as good as in years past. Because of covid, I guess, you aren't able to pull back husks to check the ears for worms, fullness of ears or if the years are young or over done. Ok I guess I can understand, but yes there were worms and inconsistent rows and not at sweet as in years past. We bought 6 ears only because there are signs saying you have to spend $5.00 as a minimum purchase. Really?????. All prices are extremely high. $2.00 for a pound for jalapeno's are you kidding me? I can go anywhere and get them for less than a dollar a lb. Pickling cucumbers were all wilted. This week you can get Olathe corn at all the grocery store for 6 for a dollar. Sorry Palizzi, You lost a customer. We won't be back! read more

Go on Mothers day and check them out for your-self and you will be right where I am with this review. They are more than nice to everyone and we have purchased from them for 9 years now. I've been a customer of Deb & her Mothers for many years. I've read where people are saying they are rude. Hey, how about the customers they have to wait on. Many times I have seen people complain about the price or something else. You do have an option, go elsewhere!! I'm sure Deb won't miss your business. For every one bad remark they get 10 good ones. She recently lost her Mother so be a little kinder to her. Too bad there isn't negative star ratings. I purchased 3 lrg hanging baskets at $65 each as I do every year From local nurseries. 2 of them are thriving beautifully. 1 not so much. Talked to the lady behind the counter about the one basket that was not doing good (after just watching someone else return 4 lrg baskets) and was rudely told to bring it in so she can look at it. Then she became EXTREMELY rude when I brought the plant in for her to look at and possibly exchange. She advised it was not their doing and told me the plant dried out from not being watered. I water my plants every morning and evening. I tried explaining to her that the other baskets are doing well along with all the other flowers in my yard, just not this one. She told me to go ahead and exchange it. As soon as I said maybe next year I will reconsider buying the lrg baskets from here she told me to take my old basket and just leave. I refused to leave until I exchanged the basket. Once I found the basket I liked I grabbed it and left. read more

I love their corn, so we purchased string beans, cauliflower and a bag of tomatoes that the cashier told us she had just packaged. She said that a few were bruised, but she had just put it together and it was a great buy. She looked so honest! Four of the tomatoes were so rotten that that they had mold and were oozing over the others. Over 1/2 the package had to be thrown away. Of course we drove ten miles just for the corn and we weren't going to drive back to return it. I wish she hadn't given me the honest, good grandmother, hard sale, it puts the entire farm in a bad light. We'll go to the grocery store next time. read more

Don't EVER purchase anything from these rude, arrogant people! I made the mistake of spending $122 dollars for two plants and fertilizer. One of the plants has done good but the other started looking bad. I took it back looking for advice on what I had done and was insulted and pretty much called a liar because I was told by an employee to fertilize every other day with a small amount on the fertilizer. They don't know the first thing about customer service and don't really care about the service they provide once they have your money. For what it cost them by being rude and arrogant, it would have been simple to have replaced the plant and they would have had a customer for life and someone that would have told other people about their market. Now I will tell everyone that I know about my experience with them and to not spend their money there. read more
