Buying a mini-split system is an incredibly difficult process. The Mass Save rebate system is very…read moredifficult to navigate. I got quotes and presentations from 4 different vendors and the pitch and price was exactly the same - hour long presentation and a $30k cost. However, what each vendor tells you is that IF you qualify a $10k rebate is available and your net cost is $20k. Essentially the rebate is a scam - it just gives contractors the ability to inflate the prices and use the rebate to make the system sound cheaper than it really is. I finally met with McIver and he was able to simplify the entire process. He is not a Mass Save contractor. So he does not work the rebate, just offers a strait-up cost to install the system. When he gave me his quote, I quickly figured out that Dan McIver was an honest man and that the whole Mass Rebate program was a scam. His quote with the similar equipment and the same number of mini-splits was $13,500. I hired him for the job and they started within a week. One of my biggest concerns was esthetics - I was worried about too many refrigeration lines running around the outside of the house. Our house is a rental property in Cape Cod that had a lot of charm to it and we did not want to ruin the integrity of it. Dan came up with a brilliant solution and was able to run most of the lines through the basement to minimize the lines on the outside of the house - we were so pleased with this solution. His team did a fantastic job building out the system - they were clean and finished the project on the timeline he quoted. The work was high quality!! Net is that Dan took a very complicated buying process and made it simple and affordable. He is highly recommended for the quality of his work, pricing and his honest and straightforward approach!

He could not have been nicer, kinder or more professional, same as Tim. Both of those gentlemen treated me like we were neighbors and have been friends for a long time. Anytime you're dealing with plumbing, you know that it could go badly either in terms of what you need or how much it's going to cost. But in both cases, this entire experience went as well as it possibly could. I very much appreciate Tim and Victor and I have a new plumber going forward. I can't recommend them any higher. In July, 2024 we selected Lawrence Air Systems to install our new heat pump system. The review is…read moreavailable under 'reviews', so I will not repeat those aspects. In April, 2025, due to the excellent previously provided in 2024, we decided to upgrade the heat pump in another unit that we own, and immediately contacted Lawrence Air Systems in Seekonk for our project. We installed another Mitsubishi Energy Star certified heat pump. Once again, I need to call out at least the following: Ray Martin; David Briganti; Christine Glazier; Installers-George and Matt. I'm sure that I am missing a couple of names, but you know who you are. Everyone worked together for a very smooth installation, at least from my viewpoint. I still cannot believe the balancing act performed with the actual air handler installation with just two men working very hard to lift the unit carefully into place. This was an upgrade to an older heat pump that still had some life left in it, but we wanted to get the newer, more efficient, quieter heat pump that we could rely on for many years to come. It was particularly important for us to get the new line set installed, as others in our condo complex have used other companies who reused the older line sets with soldered joints that ended up leaking, causing them great additional expense and discomfort. Our philosophy remains to do the job correctly the first time, and thereby minimize future problems. Lawrence delivered on all fronts. We feel that they offer great value overall, and we would use them without hesitation in the future. We did sign up for the service contract for 12 years. We want our systems to be only serviced by people who installed the system, are Mitsubishi certified, and have all of the records from our installation.
