He failed to check the serial number, guessed the unit's age, and gave us a diagnosis that a second opinion today proved was completely wrong. To make matters worse, he promised to follow up the next day but never did. If you value your time, don't use this provider

I wasn't in real trouble because the mini-splits had a heating mode I had forgotten about, that were keeping the place from freezing, so there were other people who had to come first. I cannot speak more highly of Fong and Sullivan. I had a water leak that ended up being due to a…read moreclogged condenser in my HVAC/AC unit which was located on the roof. They already came highly recommended, but when I reached out, they were SO nice. They came out as quickly as they could (most companies told me 2-3 weeks!) but they called me several times to give me updates as to whether they could try to get to me even sooner than my scheduled appointment which was only 1 day after I called! Joe and Corey were truly amazing - firstly, they were incredibly communicative about their ETA. When they arrived, they did a thorough diagnosis of the HVAC unit and even took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and why. They took care of the issue with ease and made a lot of recommendations to prevent future damage. They also offered to look at some of the other AC parts and my AC filter just to make sure I was maintaining everything properly - a service they did not need to do or take more time for. They ended up staying just chatting about best practices and were just about the friendliest repair people I have ever dealt with. I own two properties and have been through SO many bad or iffy contractors and repair people so it's such a relief to find reliable and high quality service providers. I will use Fong and Sullivan every time I have an issue and cannot recommend Joe and Corey enough.

Maybe they need something in place to insure things like this don't happen but we were in the middle of a bad storm. So in the end the made good. First off the person who came was very friendly and professionally. Was done with the job but the he said the boss wanted more testing done even though he knew what was wrong. That cost me more money. Got the bill and nothing was itemized. I was a little out off buy that but let it go. Then the next day they send a different person without the part and wanted me to pay for the job like it was new. He looked at the part and went off t get it. I canceled service. The right way to do this is the person who first came should have ordered the part and whoever was going to finish should have picked up the part so u pay for the install not for someone to start the job from scratch.

Update: The owner…read moredid respond to my emails and calls. Apparently, it was a system error. I'm glad the issue was resolved. I did have to call and email multiple times to have the issue resolved, but it was resolved. Hopefully others have a more positive experience with this company than we did: They came to our home in May 2024 for AC "tune up" for the season. I was told that the system was in great order by the tech and supervisor with him. They charged me for the service: $169. That very same day the motor on our condenser failed. The part was under warranty, luckily; although they tried to charge me for the part, until I reminded the billing department I looked up the warranty myself. They did charge for the labor (169 again)-- despite the motor failure occurring the day they tuned up the system. November of 2024, we realized the Honeywell control board for our heating system had failed. Our system was about five years old at that point. Schulz techs replaced that part and charged us 455 for the service, which we paid shortly after receiving the bill. We paid using their online payment system on 11/17/2024 and payment processed 11/18/24. Eight months after they replaced the control board and we paid for the service, they sent another invoice for that same part from 11/2024 for 296 dollars. The original bill was for parts and labor. We found a far better company to use. We will not use Schulz again. Luckily my husband has his credit card statement and invoice to show we paid previously. Maybe just an error, but it isn't the first issue with this company.

Their employee apparently quoted me too low a price, for a service I would not want at a higher price. I don't need to deal with people who treat their good customers so badly.
