But "the system" won't allow it. No matter what we suggested. Then my companion said "this has been my favorite thing at Kline's ever since I started coming here." Nope. I was enjoying my hot fudge sundae as I watch this sad story unfold. It turned into sand in my mouth. I threw it away. I offered five dollars cash for a shot of chocolate syrup. Nope. Nope, nope, nope. We won't be back. Kline's, when you let your "system" defeat your excellent staff's very best efforts to make a customer happy, you have defeated yourself. You may want to return to your roots and values with which John and Grover Kline built this business. Get the MBA out of the driver's seat. You may "take the quality of the ice cream very seriously."
