I contracted with Carnation Cleaning for a pre-move in clean. They were able to accommodate my schedule and rates were reasonable and reviews seemed balanced. I did a super quick walk-thru and requested they return to vacuum the drawer in the range and also clean the refrigerator/freezer. Things seemed ok, not great but good enough. Ok, so now as I begin to move things in I'm finding dust bunnies in cabinet corners and all manner of stuff in window tracks. Ewww. But then this morning I noticed the cabinet doors and drawer fronts were still filthy. I'll clean it myself but isn't that why I paid to have the home cleaned? Unless one is able to stay and observe the cleaning process, don't bother with Carnation. Call me and I'll clean. (No, don't. I don't have the time. Had company out to do cleaning in late November, early December. Did ok job for general cleaning which they charge around $300. I requested a deep cleaning service which adds an additional $300 to the bill. They sent a crew and spent about 4 hours cleaning. As time as passed, we are finding many areas that were overlooked and never cleaned. I can have pool drained, acid washed and new chemicals done for around $400. read more

I've hired Carnations in the past and have been for the most part satisfied. I requested a cleaning of my business the day after Thanksgiving as the business is open Monday through Friday and that's the only time the cleaning service works... no weekends. I was given a time for the crew to arrive. We sat and waited an hour and a half past the scheduled time of arrival. The crew did finally show up and the cleaning was ok. A few spots missed. My problem with the process is that we waited an hour and h half past the scheduled arrival time and there wasn't so much as an "I'm sorry for the inconvenience". The comment was our terms and conditions state that there's an hour window for scheduling problems. In the 6 or so times I've used this company, I was never made aware of any terms and conditions or where to find them. The cleaning provided was average. I reeeeally really liked this company. They are detailed (like me) and fast. I'd rate them a 5 but I got a call from the owner the other day that they couldn't get people to work, so she's cutting back on her service area. Now they no longer service the area where I live I'm super bummed and disappointed too because cleanliness is next to Godliness, and boy oh boy did they clean my home especially well. Overall, I would like to say the team did a good job. Though the superficial (high level) cleaning was accomplished well, the deep cleaning of the kitchen and other areas of the house really met my expectations. Unfortunately, not all is good news as my wife was present during the cleaning and pointed out areas that were overlooked by team as they progressed through the home. And when replacing all the toilet seats later the following day, I did find "old" dirt/urine behind and along side of all the toilets. I was under the impression they would be cleaned? My husband and I hired Carnation to do a CONSTRUCTION CLEANING on our home after our staircase was completely renovated. When we scheduled the cleaning we were told that a construction cleaning is a deep clean and the workers who come out would know that construction had just been done and would deep clean the entire house, including dusting our walls, as dust from sanding finds it way everywhere during a remodel. I can tell many areas were overlooked. Tasks that the team deals with in regular cleanings were done very well (such as bathrooms, floors, bookcases, and ceiling fans), but things that should fall under a construction cleaning were not done at all. Our walls are still dusty, under the beds in rooms with carpet were not vacuumed (we have dogs and there is still fur everywhere), inside our kitchen cupboards were not touched, and the tops of doorways were not dusted and are noticeably dirty from the second floor. These are just the things that I have noticed in the few days since the cleaning was done. I do not recommend this company at all for a deep clean. I should have saved the hefty amount of money that was given to the women on Team Willow and Team Palo Verde, put in the time, and done the job myself. They were very nice and professional when they were onsite, but not worth the money. read more

I have used Carnation twice & am booked for my 3rd visit. I am pretty clean, often doing sinks, toilets, floors, hand smudges etc as things get dirty. But sometimes I just want it ALL CLEAN AT ONCE, which is something I frankly never do. So about once a quarter I want this plus the things done that I don't like to do, such as scrubbing the shower walls, dusting ceiling fans, etc. I pick up all clutter before they arrive, as I want to make the most of my time/money with them CLEANING not picking up stuff in the way. (frankly I'm surprised at the posted photos, I had no idea people leave their house so exploded with their personal crap when cleaning crews come... You're paying good money for someone to throw away your old fast food bags & fold your couch blanket, really?? -shrug-) I have used various cleaning people (individuals) & discounted "services" from Groupon, etc, and all those experiences drove me to simply call Carnation. I'm tired of individuals having car trouble, not bringing their own supplies, kid-problem cancellations, no call/no shows, telling me their life problems on my cleaning "clock," = lack of professionalism. The experience with the coupon businesses has been AWFUL - I was lucky to get my money back from one that turned into a big scam that even made the news last year. I was trying to save money in both cases; "I can get it for cheaper." I gave that up, called Carnation, willing to pay more for quality/professionalism. I have known Eugena, the owner, for many years, knew what she did & that they were a final-cleaning provider to a big home-builder for many years. You can't hold an account like that without providing consistent professionalism. Both times Carnation has been here it has been the same delightful experience. They are a system, the individual employees can have car trouble, kid issues, etc but it doesn't affect me as the customer - I'm now willing to pay Carnation more to deal with those hassles & just CLEAN MY HOUSE. I have had a different cleaning crew both times, which is fine with me. They came in a team of 2 in a car with the company name on it, uniforms, blue booties on their shoes. After a quick intro and tour of the house, they verified what I had said I wanted done per the phone setup, and got to work. They bring EVERYTHING they need to do the job. They worked fast, clearly had their duties split already (no confusion between them), and only talked to me when they had clarification questions. Everything was PERFECT. They did the extras I asked for (cleaning the fans & baseboards), they did all of the basics (like scrubbing shower walls), and then they approached me at the 2-hour mark I had set up on the phone, and gave me an option - there was still one thing to complete on the list. Did I want to buy more time for that or leave it? That was GREAT with me, as I saw them working fast & hard all 2 hours - my requests simply added up to more than 4 (wo)man-hours. So yes I happily agreed to add on 15 more mins. The office called to verify it with me (no opportunity for employees to scam). My final amount was charged to my card by the office - no awkward paying the people who just cleaned. I am sorry to hear that the other reviewer had a poor experience and "emailed" ... makes me wonder if Mary Ann ever saw it? My son hired this company from the Internet. They came out and gave him a price on the downstairs alone. He was told 150. And they do the floors bathroom and the kitchen including the dishes. He told them he would let them know. I'm home sick today and they show up. My husband not knowing the details let them in. Not only did I pay 160 but wow, my teenage daughter is more thorough. My kitchen looks identical as to prior. They didn't touch the table nor the countertops, nothing was moved! They didn't touch the downstairs shower because they said it was filled with furniture. Btw, I looked and it had a dog bed and a floor mat. They literally just left 20 minutes ago and I feel ripped off. NO WAY IS THIS A COMPLETE JOB. so here I sit with the flu and a dirty house and just paid 160. I seriously just want to cry. Who ever the owner is had better give me or my son a call and explain because this literally is ridiculous. This service came recommended, as I haven't used a cleaning service before. I am very disappointed. One person came to clean and was there for 9 hours. I needed a move out cleaning. When we arrived the next day and we found it clean, but not move out clean. Some of the cupboards and shelves were still dirty, doors were scuffed, cobwebs found and what was wiped down was smeary. Worst of all, we found cigarette butts in both the front and backyards. As the property was vacant and locked, the butts had to have come from an employee of the cleaning service. I chose them because they are close by, send in the same team at each cleaning and they are licensed and bonded. They sent in a team of 3 for 6 hours of straight work! THEY NEVER STOPPED! They brought all their own cleaning supplies ... even the vacuums. The staff wore blue booties over their shoes the whole time. My house hasn't looked this good since I moved in 10 years ago. The one thing that the Owner, Gina, did right! She referred me to SERVICE TEAM OF PROFESSIONALS.  Trent was professional, thorough and overall incredibly personable!  I highly recommend this company if you ever have a need for a smoke removal service or property restoration. I hired Carnation Cleaning for a rental home move out.  As part of their service, a Supervisor was supposed to review the job after it was completed. Everything appeared clean and I even tipped both ladies! I know how hard their job is! Carnation cleaned the home once before which is why I came back to them the second time.  I did not insist on the Supervisor visit as I live by a "trusting and teamwork" attitude.  That was my second mistake.  My first mistake was hiring Carnation again. I also had the house treated for smoke odor from the prior tenants.  I had the service for two days. Upon completion, the home still smelled like smoke!  It is a small home and two days should have been adequate. This is when I noticed areas that were supposed to have been cleaned, we're full of dust.  On top of the refrigerator was still mucky with grease. Just to name a few issues.  Smoke odor is difficult to get rid of. However if the property is not cleaned properly, the smoke odor will retain itself in all that muck and dust. I did not have the opportunity to call Gina until the following week. She was incredibly personable and professional when I booked the job and when she took my money $360.   However, when I spoke with her, she proceeded to blame it on construction.  I was having light fixtures, fans, light plates, etc replaced in the property. I also had minor drywall patching done. The dust left behind was not from construction. She begrudgingly sent out one of her cleaners and a supervisor the next day to complete the job.   They both arrived With Attitudes!  Ironically one of them was the gal that I tipped! They cleaned up what they missed, however they did not clean up the dust from the counters or the cleaning fluid that was dripping down the kitchen cupboards after they did their cleaning. I really expected the owner, Gina, to follow up with me personally. She did not! When I called her, she blamed it on the fact that someone was caulking around the sink and was in their way! She also previously blamed a company that she referred me to.  She never accepted responsibility and was quick to blame others!  According to another review she actually "fired" her paying client after she complained!  She certainly lost my business! They have cleaned my home for over 3 years, have raised my price twice. I paid $240. Every other week for 3 hours of cleaning ( 2 ladies). That comes out to $80.00 per hour. Now they want to charge me over $300.00 per visit. That is just to much money. They do a good job, but charge to much for their services. They took their time in speaking with me, answered things that I didn't even have to ask about (unlike a few of the previous calls), and I just had a good feeling about them. Beyond unhappy. Two corners of dinning room table not dusted. Just dusted around lamp on glass top end table in living room. Did not even move appliances on kitchen counter to clean behind them. Dusted only in front of jewelry box on chest of drawers, leaving dust behind it. Did not move tissue box on night stand to dust behind it. Did not move tray on dresser to dust behind it. Just swiped the middle of the granite window sill above the kitchen sink. Did not clean the top edge of the granite kitchen backsplash. Did not wipe off fingerprints on oven control panel. Did not dust blinds in laundry room. And these are only the place I have looked after service yesterday afternoon. Did not vacuum carpeted stairs. I am sure I will find many more. My husband found Carnation on Angie's List. I've have had some recent health problems and have gotten far behind with the housekeeping. Two very friendly ladies came in and spent the day working very hard. At the end of the day, the whole house was sparkling clean and we were charged exactly what we were quoted.
