If I could make it negative, I would. Not only are they rude....the woman who answered the phone huffed and grunted because I asked her a question. I had a horrible experience just recently with awful, awful tailoring. What makes it worse is that several years ago they completely ruined a beautiful, expensive floral skirt. All of the colors ended up bleeding into each other. They couldn't care less when I brought it in. I should have NEVER gone back to them. Dirty, rude, incompetent, read more

This is the most disgusting, dry cleaners I've ever seen. I bought a dress in to be hemmed. They had it for entire month. I went to pick it up on the due date and of course the dress wasn't ready, the owner was looking all over his filthy dirty store for my dress but couldn't find it, I glance over and see it in a ball on a table. The dress wasn't even done yet. I went back the next day and nearly fell on the floor when he told me how much it was. My dress was covered with lint, dog hair and wrinkled from top to bottom. The place is more like a dog kennel than a dry cleaners!! Do yourself a favor and don't ever go there. it is the worst. read more

I went to the Carmel cleaners to get two suits cleaned. I also requested a seam to be fixed in on of the pairs of pants. I paid for the dry cleaning and seam repairs. The seam was not fixed at all. It appears no one even looked at it. Not good when I paid for it. This is not the first time. I will be seeking another dry cleaner service for my suits. I am an AVP for a big bank and I have alot of dry cleaning to be done. I do not have faith in this business. read more

A good cleaner is like your barber or butcher. An anchor in your daily grind - dependable, friendly, predictable, steadfast. Truthful and transparent even if they make a mistake or tell you no, it's not possible. Steve and his crew are exactly what they seem - a solid reputable business that will give you the best experience they can with a smile all day long. read more

I have been going to Carmel Cleaners for over 10 years, Steve is incredibly helpful and accommodating. 3 years ago I moved from Carmel to Mahopac and I continue to support Carmel Cleaners in every way possible. The cost for their work is very competitive. Happy to be client. read more

I brought in an off-white denim jacket to be dry-cleaned. After I picked it up and took to off the hanger at home, I noticed the collar was still dirty. I don't know if they didn't do a good job or never actually cleaned the jacket. Also, a standard wash and press of a men's shirt is absurdly overpriced with a ridiculous turn around of 3 days. Won't go back again. read more

They do a very nice job, very reliable and professional service. Never had a problem with them. I would highly recommend to others. read more

Steve, the owner and tailor, takes your needs seriously and professionally. I've brought him orders for custom drapery, Kashmir and Silk garment mending, suit and pant alterations, adding belt loops to jeans, half a dozen stuffed animals to fix... he can handle it all, quickly, professionally, and for a very good price. I have been going here for years and I highly recommend his tailoring and dry cleaning services. read more

I need to use a dry cleaner every week and Carmel Cleaners is the place to go! Steve Choi and his team are professional and personable. I don't usually need to make a special request, but I had to ask to have them sew my a ripped seam. They had it done, cleaned, and ready in a couple days. I won't go anywhere else but Carmel Cleaners! read more

My family has been using Carmel Cleaners for years, we travel from different towns or counties because we only trust Steve. The dry cleaning is fast and affordable, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the alterations are phenomenal. Steve came up with an awesome idea for a few skirts I needed to be taken in and more secured around my waist. He opened up the stitching where the zipper is, and he fed through a thick string for me to fasten the waistband in addition to using the zipper. I now wear my skirts with confidence because Steve's work! read more

I purchased a dress for my senior ball. Think about any issue a dress could have, and my dress had it. Steve fixed it all. He was incredibly innovative and even added an entirely new strap to my dress to fix the problem with the front. Given that my dress was entirely open in the back it was very difficult to maneuver and steve managed not only to fix it, but also make the new strap look like it was part of the dress from the beginning. The service there is wonderful they took my dress last minute, and fixed it at an incredible speed. Everything about my dress and the way it now fits is thanks to Steve. He is a very personable guy, and the price was very reasonable. I would say definitely pay him a visit, you will not be disappointed! read more

This is the most unprofessional store around. Stains magically appear on your white laundered shirts after you've dropped them off and owner Steve Choi always says it is your fault. It's happened three times already and that's it with this dump. Steve owns the cleaners at the Kent Plaza on 52 too, so beware. read more

I brought three conformers in on a Tuesday for laundering to be picked up on Friday at 4:00pm. I had a hip replacement so when my aid brought me in on Friday at 2:00pm to pick them up, I was very surprised to hear they weren't done to come back at 4:00 as on the ticket. I remarked that they had been there all week, what would be done to them in the next 2 hours. There was no reply or explanation. The clerk then disappeared and all of a sudden they were done and they bagged them. The cost was close to $100.00. I got home and they were horribly wrinkled, not fluffy, didn't smell fresh (all of which my aid agreed) and I'm not sure to be honest if they laundered them at all... read more
