    My new car!
    Nikki W.

I never thought I would be able to say this about buying a car, but this was a seriously fantastic experience. Who knew that was even possible! I went in on a Friday night with an interest in checking out a couple of SUVs. I worked with Brandon, letting him know my price range and some of my must-have's. He worked amazingly well with us. He never seemed annoyed if I asked stupid questions, and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time, unlike my last car buying experience where I felt rushed and taken advantage of. After taking a few test drives, I found a couple I was interested in and decided to have them gi ahead and appraise my car. They explained EVERY step of the process and gave me my quote which was totally reasonable given the issues the discovered. I even had the issues they reported checked out afterwards, and it was all valid. The appraisal is good for 7 days, but mine didn't change even though I came back in after that time frame. So...I found a 2011 ford escape limited online at the independence location and asked that they transfer it. They got it in a couple of days and I instantly knew it was my new car. The business office was amazing at helping us get the title...an out of state co-signer coukd have made things unbearable but they helped every step of the way. My sales person even came in on his day off to close the deal. It was just great. and the business office does all of the licensing at the dmv too, so you don't have to worry about any if that! I cannot express how great this potentially stressful experience ended up being. It was fun, even, and I absolutely love my car. THANKS CARMAX!!!

I worked with Peyton and didn't know exactly what I wanted other than an SUV. He showed me several different SUV's with lower mileage and great prices. I test drove a couple cars and then made my decision. The process was smooth from start to finish. He got my paperwork complete and the car all cleaned up so I could drive her home! If you need a car go ask for Peyton at Enterprise St. Charles and tell him I sent you! Peyton thanks for being helpful, and so professional throughout the process! #nohaggle

Enterprise sold me and my wife a Nissan ARIYA with open Nissan service campaigns and then refused…read moreto stand behind it when I raised the issue. What makes this worse is what the campaigns are actually about. Nissan's own campaign bulletin says that on certain 2023 to 2024 ARIYA vehicles, a failed over-the-air update for the navigation/IVI system can leave the vehicle in a no-start condition, meaning the IGN ON inhibit control is not released and the car may not start. Nissan's remedy is to update the IVI software and, if needed, the CAN gateway software. Enterprise's response? They told me to ask Nissan for a rental car and go to another dealer. So the company that sold me the car wanted someone else to deal with the consequences. That is unacceptable. I understand Nissan classifies these as voluntary service campaigns rather than a safety recall, but that does not change the fact that the issue Nissan describes can leave the vehicle unable to start and needing dealer intervention. What really stands out is that Nissan's campaign bulletin specifically says customers should consult their dealer for alternate transportation availability while the vehicle is being serviced, and it even lists rental expense guidance. Instead of helping, Enterprise pushed me off on Nissan and another dealer. If you buy from Enterprise, verify recalls, campaigns, and service history yourself, because once they have your money, you may find out their idea of customer service is telling you to go somewhere else.

But the fact that they will fraudulently pass inspections is another level of insane. I searched for cars for months, looking for the perfect combo of low miles and decent price. I came across a ton with super high miles and I was trying to stay under $8000. This was my 16 year old daughters first car. It is a single family household so getting something for her fell all on my lap. So I wanted to get her something that would last. I found this PT Cruiser, it had under 20k miles and was right at the $8000 mark. I felt that at the very least, the car was a garage car that was lightly used and would need items replaced that were just old. That was ok with me. The customer service was great, I had my own financing. They brought the car too me and to get paper signed. Mike the GM did this himself. I thought it was a nice touch! This was in November 2022. My daughter started having issues almost immediately with the car. Burning smells, brake lights coming on (after 7 weeks) , heat not working, clunking. I had someone do a quick check over the car when I first got it, but after a month or so of issues, I took it to the shop. I was faced with $3700 worth of repairs. $2600 of which were ALL SAFETY issues! The shop let me know that the car could never have passed inspection and someone surely turned the other way when passing it. The struts were also blown, this was a $1100 repair, and I ended up having them do work for both the safety issues and the struts. I titled and registered a car that had a fraudulent safety inspection. I contacted the dealer, I spoke to Mike a few times. He tells me Midas does their inspections and I let him know there is no way it could pass. The list was extensive and were mainly brake issues. He keeps pushing me off saying he will look into it. Asked for my paperwork from the mechanic and I sent that. He will not respond to emails. Will not return phone calls. He is now dodging me. I told him I would give him time to resolve this and reimburse me for some of the cost, specifically the safety issues that should have been addressed prior to selling the car and that I will assume the cost of the struts. Now, I have to report them to DOR, MO Highway Patrol and a few other agencies that investigate inspection fraud. I also have to see my options with a Consumer Protection Attorney. The part that bothers me the most is I told them this was for my teen daughter. My baby could have been seriously harmed over safety issues. She has transported her 3 year old sister to school on several occasions. I can not imagine if something would have happened to them both because they sold me a car with a list of safety issues. I have attached a copy of the document from my mechanic showing highlights of the safety issues.
