    Over charges

I went to the dealer and had a brake installation done a couple of weeks ago. The brakes are squeaky and loud. I took it in to have adjustments i.e. air blow brakes for dust and debris and lube. The dealer advisor wrote up that I needed new rear brakes and rotors totaling over $700. I spoke with my advisor Joe and indicated to him that I had an independent inspection performed on my vehicle that indicated that I was well in the green on my brakes and rotors. I had a complete rotor replacement done last year. Joe assured me that he would get to the bottom of this and asked me to bring my vehicle by today, which I agreed to. I was eagerly hoping for a resolution to this issue. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was greeted warmly until I spoke to the service manager, Don. That's when I was met with agitation and low-key hostility. Upon an inspection by their service manager, he concluded that the brakes and rotors were in good working condition. No one has taken responsibility for the dishonesty. Yet everyone was offended that I sought out a second opinion. Then they told me I have a valve cover leaking by way of visual inspection. They did not use the dex dye test to confirm where the leak was coming from. The final charge on that would be over 500, and that might not even be where it's leaking at. So now the dealership is charging hundreds of dollars for guesswork instead of running GM certified tests. I spoke with General Manager Darric, whom I might add, also told me to bring my complaints directly to him. I feel that he basically did not wish to investigate the issue, and/or rolled with the deceit. Yet basically had the nerve to tell me my business was no longer welcome at the dealership and that his crew felt uncomfortable working with me. I guess that's how you handle pushing off your responsibility to blatantly cheat a customer. I feel that the dealership has an ethical problem in their service department. I have brought a previous concern to Darric when the service department first informed me that my rear brakes were "grinding into my rotors". Attempting to charge people for work that does not need to be completed and misdiagnosis of problems is not what I would expect to encounter at any reputable dealer. I was fortunate to catch their lie before losing over $1200. My solid recommendation is not to do business here. You are better off doing business with people who respect your business and your time.

I was nervous at first because this dealer was about 3 hours away from my home and I didn't like the idea of breaking in a new vehicle on the long drive back home. I decided to make a phone call and boy was I impressed. The team on the phone reassured me and even offered me a 90-day warranty on the vehicle. If anything failed & I wanted out of the contract, they would oblige. This alone boosted my confidence in the sale so I decided to make my way out to Silex, MO to take a look at the truck. As soon as I pull in, one of the sales ladies (I forget her name! Sorry!) greeted me and handed me the keys to the truck. They had it washed and sitting at the front WITH a full tank a fuel.) She showed me the ins and outs and allowed me to take it for a drive. I was blown away. This was a done deal, I just had to figure out where to sign :). 2 years later? I have put over 30,000 miles on this truck and have only had to replace a wiring harness (D*** squirrels) and a front headlight. I love my truck and I am forever thankful for the Silex team at Driven Auto Sales for not only offering me a 90-day warranty on a used vehicle but for also for having it ready to go with a full tank of gas upon my arrival. A+ service. Thanks Again! Cody A.

The service was okay while trying to purchase the car... the problems occurred after I pulled of the lot. First, it wouldn't pass safety. Then, on the way home the check engine light came on. I went to advanced auto and they said 8 codes were pulled. I made numerous calls and only one was returned. The lot didn't offer to give me a loaner or help me find another vehicle so the whole week before Christmas and if they had their way through the Christmas holiday I was and would have been car-less. Finally I got a call back and they said they wouldn't fix the car and they were cancelling the sale. The customer service was horrid. The worst I had ever dealt with. EVER. So, I purchased a different vehicle from a different lot. If you are in the market for a used vehicle, I strongly urge you to go to Geoff Rogers autoplex and at all means, avoid driven auto sales. I would not refer anyone to driven, nor would I ever return.
