Gerber also provided text message updates so I knew exactly when the parts were ordered and when they were expected. My only complaint was when insurance was debating if the car was going to be a total loss, Gerber stated they don't work on total loss vehicles - thus Id have to have the car towed someplace else. (if I wanted to buy it back from insurance) Fortunately, the insurance company did not total out the vehicle so I was able to have it repaired. They even washed the car and buffed the hood. There was literally no paper work involved, and they confirmed my appt a few times so I wouldn't forget. I was told it would be a quick 30 minutes, so I waited. After 30 minutes passed, the repair guy came to the waiting room and asked where the crack was, since he did not start on it yet. Well that was annoying. Another 30 minutes passed and it was done. I have never had a windshield repair before, but they told me I wouldn't be able to notice the crack anymore. Well honestly I can easily see it and there is no difference? But like I said, I am very unfamiliar with the process. I supposed my experience was satisfactory, but definitely could have been better.

Called on a Wednesday and was serviced by an extremely friendly gentlemen on the phone who said they could get me serviced next day, Thursday, and come to my house (all the way in Averill Park). Thursday morning rolled around and it turns out that JN Phillips accidentally scheduled my appointment for NEXT Thursday. JN Phillips was quite apologetic about the mix up, scheduled me for Friday morning, and as an act of good-will threw in new windshield wipers for my car. Friday morning they were prompt in arriving to my house and was able to replace my windshield in about an hour - plus installed the new windshield wipers. Would highly recommend them for my auto glass needs.

I brought my 2009 Chevy Malibu in for an estimate because I wanted the frame addressed, the windshield repaired/replaced as appropriate, and the affected area repainted. J Smitty Automotive provided a preliminary estimate with a Grand Total of $3,985.17. For context, I purchased this vehicle for approximately $6,000, so being quoted nearly $4,000 for the repair was not reasonable to me. What left the interaction with a bad impression was that there was no attempt to recommend a more cost-effective path forward or explain alternatives - only a very high estimate. I then obtained another written estimate elsewhere for the same problem area ("Front Windshield and Frame") totaling $375.00, which I found far more reasonable. To avoid any confusion: the repairs shown in my before - and - after photos were NOT performed by J Smitty Automotive; they were completed by the other shop after I declined this estimate. Based on this experience, I would not recommend proceeding here unless you are comfortable with a risk of significantly inflated pricing.

So as much as I kinda liked them, now I feel I can't trust them, so will not be back.

When it gets busy, there can be a bit of a line waiting your turn. Even though there are pumps set up for gas tanks on both the driver's and passenger's sides, and arrows suggesting how to enter and exit, you always have those folks who will ignore the arrows and those waiting in line to back into a spot or drive around and come in from the back. Watch out for those folks. I'm docking them 1 star for bad signage. The sign before entering the gas area was definitely out of date. It showed a gas price fifteen cents lower than today's actual price. I'm wondering whether they're short staffed, too lazy to update the sign, or whether they think folks will be more interested in getting gas, then learning the price is higher but will stay anyway. C'mon, everyone coming here is already a BJs customer and knows the price is lower. The do need to remember one other thing... the Costco opening a couple of miles away in 2026 will also sell gas.
