He went on to explain that since we had the Basic AAA membership we were only entitled to a 5-mile tow, and anything beyond 5 miles would cost us $6/mile. We agreed to the sum and he promptly gave us a discount. He also advised us to upgrade our membership, so we'd get more towing miles - something we will do. I really appreciated his upfront approach. Dan was friendly and efficient. He took our car all the way to our garage in Bellingham and chatted with the owner like he was an old friend, which he probably was, since he's been doing this job for many years. and seems to know all the garage owners around. We even got a ride in a Tow Truck!
