Don't trust these guys. Totally rude and disrespectful. Called me about an hour ago after Geico put…read morein the request for a tow and he claimed my vehicle needed collision work. I told him a few times this was not the case. He said he'll be over here in 15 minutes. I came downstairs and was waiting for him. He didn't even call me or ring my doorbell, he just briefly knocked. He didn't even give me 45 seconds to come to the door (I'm looking at the time stamp of the Ring video between when he knocked on the door, and when I answered. Literally less than 45 seconds). Me being cordial and kind and saying hello, stepping out, he saw me in my driveway and yet he pulled out and started driving away. I thought he didn't see me or something and went out in the middle of the street jumping up and down doing jumping jacks trying to flail this guy down. Totally embarrassed myself! Pioneer Auto is waiting for my vehicle to be dropped off by this guy. I called his number 2x and texted it. Both went unreturned. Called another one of A-1's numbers. Went unanswered as well. Called off a different number and they answered immediately! Said that I have to call Geico back because "they waited for me" and that they cancelled the order and tow and I'd have to call back Geico again to request another one. Ridiculous. Have been on the phone for the last 30 minutes with Geico and about 2 hours dealing with this today. A-1 is the only contracted tower with Geico in the Oak Harbor area. Geico said they shouldn't have been here til 315 pm and he came at 254 pm. They said he had to wait for me until 315, give me a call or Geico one. I'm telling you it's all documented on Ring video. Not even a full minute between him knocking on the door, me coming out, and him driving away from my driveway. Not ok. Beyond petty, I did nothing to these people. And Geico said I need to document all of this, because guess what? The guy cancelled the tow but STILL got paid by Geico. Now my car is broken in my driveway without a tow, and I can't find someone to tow my vehicle til Monday! I did absolutely nothing rude or mean to these people and for them to do this and treat someone like this - for what? I told him I could barely hear him on the phone today when he had a bunch of people talking around him? That's the reason to act and behave like this? And now I have to do 2 reviews with Geico and on here? Totally petty, and a waste of time. I don't know why people in the Oak Harbor area are so beyond rude, unaccommodating, and just plain mean but I'm so sick of it. Lived in 10 states and this area is probably one of the meanest/ rudest in the country. Not ok. Now I'm upset, Geico is upset, and for what reason? Was he trying to scam us or just try to make our lives more difficult? If he didn't want the job or to deal with me for whatever reason he shouldn't have accepted it. Geico just tried to get them to come back and do the tow and he refused because 1.) he said I didn't come to the door when he knocked (not true based off of the Ring video - literally 45 seconds between him knocking and me coming out), 2.) he called me earlier and because Geico said my car had collision work he is refusing to take it allegedly and he is refusing to take any future jobs from Geico or me. Ridiculous. Hope karma does justice. Update: looks like he's done this many times based off the reviews on Yelp and Google! So I know it's not just a "me" issue! The auto body shop said this is how he is too and they don't recommend him. Just a shame! And he allegedly destroyed people's bikes and threw things in their yard throwing a temper tantrum for whatever reason. I came outside and both my trash cans were slammed to the ground and damaged which they've NEVER been in the 2 years living here. Either he hit them with the tow truck or threw them down! Now they're damaged! The garbage people would've NEVER allowed this nor would my neighbors! Every other trash can on the street was standing up straight! Both my regular trash can and recycling were thrown down by this man and it's caught on my neighbor's Ring camera as well! I'd like to file a report on this man. There is NO REASON whatsoever to behave like this or treat another human being like this! Especially someone that was nothing but kind and respectful to him to begin with! Absurd! I'd like to call the cops and report him because this is a common problem with him judging from the reviews. You don't destroy another person's property! Maybe it's a blessing he didn't get in my car and drive my car. But man. I understand he mate hate his life but no reason to take it out on other good people just trying to get help!

Jeff Malone and the Import AutoSport team rock!!! If you want to experience quality customer…read moreservice from a reputable and experienced auto repair shop, then you definitely want to drive over to Import AutoSport. I've been taking my Beemer (04 BMW X3 - 93kmi) to Jeff for about five years. Jeff's locally owned auto repair shop is conveniently located only a couple miles out of town off Hwy 20. Import AutoSport always makes me feel like a priority, and most importantly Jeff only recommends necessary maintenance - whether he performs the service, or refers customers to another local business. Here's the best part... I recently moved to SoCal. A couple weeks after I arrived, my Service Engine light popped on. LSS, I took it to a very conveniently located independent BMW repair shop, where they performed a diagnostic. Results - thermostat was going bad. But what happened next, was rather shocking... I was told by this (unnamed) auto repair shop that my car required $1,700+ in repairs.Their quote included replacing all belts, hoses, plastic parts, the radiator, and the water pump. The line item for replacement of the thermostat was $200! I had no idea what to do, but I felt confident Jeff would give me some guidance. I forwarded the estimate to Jeff who immediately helped me assess the validity of these unexpected expenses for a shockingly huge number of repairs. (Keep in mind, Jeff did this for a former customer, now living 1500 miles away!) Then, not only did Jeff personally spend his valuable time analyzing my long distance need for auto repair, he also researched and interviewed reputable authorized BMW auto repair shops within a reasonable driving distance from my new home. Today, I took Jeff's recommendation and made an appointment with an auto repair shop only 15 mi up the road - another highly rated Yelp business. (Yes, I will follow up with a review of that customer experience too.) In closing, If you live in or around Skagit County and you are skeptical about where to take your new or old car for regularly scheduled or emergency maintenance, don't hesitate to call Jeff Malone at Import AutoSport! If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

I am writing this on behalf of my mother in law. She has been a long time customer here and never…read morequestioned the service. She recently brought her car in for an oil change and they brought up a few other items that she should take care of, one of them being her brakes. The CSR gave her a form that listed she needed pads, rotors, and calipers to the tune of +/- $1,800. Thankfully my son was with his grandma and the suggestion of calipers struck him as odd. I am a mechanic so they had me take a look at the information provided. The Burlington Automotives mechanic that did the inspection on her car did call out her brake pads(and a few other small service items), but did not call out rotors or calipers. I did a brake job on her car and, indeed, it only needed pads with the rotors being perfectly smooth and within spec. The calipers were also in great shape with the dust seals still attached, no cracks or anything like that. We went to talk with Louis, the Store Manager, and he first said that pads and rotors are often changed together and thought it was weird the mechanic didn't call out the rotors. I stated it was because the rotors are fine. I asked about calipers and he went into a story about them potentially seizing if there is wear, again, not called out by the mechanic and the dust seals are in great shape. He then said that the CSR was "new" which is a cop out. If the person is "new", they should have oversight and that still doesn't explain how the mechanic got it right and the CSR got it wrong. When I asked what thier policy is for the hand off of information, he said the CSR should take exactly what the mechanic says BUT rotors and pads go together because It can cause uneven wear, we also dont turn rotors, we just go new. It is a real shame because this sort of things gives all mechanics a bad name. To be clear, the actual mechanic's report was on point and I think he was a fine mechanic. The CSR and Store Manager, though, should be ashamed of themselves At the end of the day, they tried to screw an old lady out of a bunch of money. Louis barely apologized, trying to make every excuse he could to get out of admitting they wronged her. They didn't have her best interest in mind.... do they have yours?
