I walked into this particular McDonalds, past the self serve kiosks and up to the counter. What I see is an incredibly busy kitchen, employees hustling and an extremely clean kitchen area at that. Even the lobby and tables were very clean. Having worked fast food in my teen years I get how difficult it can be. Suddenly one of the staff comes around the corner and gives me a great smile and asks what he can do for me. I can see how busy they are, but this guy is gracious and smooth. Almost feels like meeting up with a pal. My order comes out in just a few minutes, these folk were hustling. The lady that brought my order out also had a genuine smile and a very clear and cheerful "have a good day". The level of positive service during an extreme rush hour was phenomenal and just needs to be mentioned. It was a pleasant stop for me on a long road trip.

1 Star: MAJOR HEALTH HAZARD - Raw Meat Served…read more Avoid this location for your own safety. The current operation here is serving dangerous, undercooked food. * Serving Raw Beef: I just received a Quarter Pounder that was entirely rare/raw in the center. This is a massive food safety violation. * Deliberate Negligence: McDonald's grills operate on automated, precision timers for a reason. For beef to come out this raw, staff must be deliberately overriding the safety mechanism and pulling meat off the grill before the cycle completes just to speed up service. * Dangerous Practices: This is not a slight cooking error; it is a total failure in food safety protocols. Prioritizing speed over ensuring meat is actually cooked is how people get severely ill. If they are willing to serve raw ground beef, do not trust anything else coming out of that kitchen. Look at the photos and judge for yourself.

This is more about the service and experience. Food was good…read more They had an employee who was in the men's bathroom a VERY long time. The men's room was locked from when we arrived to when we left and my boyfriend had to use the men's room. I asked them to check the bathroom and was told very rudely that, "Yes, they know. And that it was one of their employees throwing up." Lovely. I said maybe he should be sent home. When the door was still locked ,I asked again (the men's room was unavailable for at least a half hour from when we arrived so not sure how long but it was locked when we got there). I brought it again and the manager told me the guy had it coming out both ends. Just what you want to hear after eating in a restaurant! YUCK. This crew needs some serious training on customer service!! It escalated to one of their employees (I will not name him) berating and yelling at us and telling us to leave. In the beginning, a simple, "I am so sorry. We have an unwell employee," would have sufficed. Instead we were treated like the bad guys and given details of his illness.

As always the bread on the sandwich was crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. We order…read morewith the option for "extra protein". The "Bootlegger" is a fave and the meats and cheese together are so savory, keeps us coming back for more. The crispy dill pickle completes the meal. The new toasted sandwiches are very tasty as well, especially the chicken ranch!

I'm so happy to be able to be the first Yelp Elite to review this little burger joint, because I…read morehad such a great experience. I stopped in around 2:30 on a Monday, which is typically a slow hour for restaurants. So, I was not at all surprised when I was greeted with, "Just to give you a heads up, we are out of chicken and chimichurri sauce." As I've written about extensively in other reviews, I've worked in restaurants for most of my life. No matter how great everyone is at their jobs, sometimes, the restaurant runs out of ingredients, for a variety of reasonable reasons. Right? And let's be real: it's a good thing to run out of things. This is a sign of a fresh ingredient supply. A restaurant that never runs out of anything is suspicious. Well, I seem to have walked in on an actual Karen ripping the young adult female cashier to verbal shreds over the chicken shortage. However, I was not aware of this until after she left, because when I walked in, she went silent, glared at the cashier for a minute, and then stormed out. I was thinking, "What the F was that about?" And to be fair, the workers did not discuss it loudly, but I sat near the kitchen and eavesdropped, because I wanted to know. Anyway, I ordered the Mac Daddy, which came with a smash patty, Mac and cheese, and all the normal burger toppings. As I waited for my burger, I noticed that BUM stands for Big Ugly Messy. I thought... we'll see. Big? Yes, a little bigger than average. Much more substantial than anything you'd get from McDonald's, for example. Ugly? Not really, no... not until I got into it, and the bread fell apart because it was so fresh. Messy? Yes. A fork was required to finish off all the mac and cheese that fell out during the course of consumption. The smashburger was perfect, and that's the most important thing. Above all else, I look for the caramelized smashed patty. The better the Maillard, the higher my rating. Five stars for the Maillard. The Mac and cheese was decent. Enough to add the right flavor to the burger without overpowering it. The rest of the ingredients were fresh. As I was eating, a wealthy couple, who seemed to have never eaten food this cheap before, entered the restaurant. Having worked in a private country club for many years, I immediately recognized them as uber-rich. The lady happened to be wearing the EXACT same shirt that Patricia McCloskey was wearing during her infamous altercation in St. Louis. "It's your birthday!" The man announced to the whole restaurant. "Go ahead honey, have a burger!" I was thinking, "Oh, my, God, I am definitely adding this anecdote to my Yelp review." After quizzing the cashier regarding what came on each burger, and learning how "combo meals" work, they each decided to order the same thing: the classic American burger combo. How daring and fun. The man directed his wife to set her things down on the booth in the very back, to which she whispered something, and he loudly boomed, "No one's going to take our stuff." I was thinking, "Well, you've basically just announced that you have stuff worth taking." I looked around to see who she was suspicious of. Aside from myself, there were two workers in the kitchen, and a young, well-dressed Latino couple holding hands and praying in the booth furthest away from them. Was I being profiled for being poor, or was the young religious couple being profiled for being Latino? I accidentally laughed out loud at the rich lady before intentionally flashing all the money in my wallet at her, picking out a few bills, and depositing them in the tip jar on my way out. I was not expecting so much entertainment with my meal. Five stars for the food, plus an extra five because, in the words of the cashier, "I'm still trying to process what just happened?"
