Today 6/3/26 I ordered a sourdough burger. After paying $17.04 I went back to work to eat. Upon opting my burger and taking the first bite cause I was hungry, I realized it was the wrong burger. I went back to carls, and asked the cashier if there was a mistake in my order cause I didn't get the right burger. That's when she told me they don't have the sourdough bread. She then proceeded to give me attitude asking for the drink back in order to give me a full refund. At the end I did get my refund, but the service was horrible. Will I go back, maybe. Multiple times I come to order with a coupon (or outside store window special) and each time they state - they do not have any chicken or tenders ... one time they even said " they need to save them for later". Simple answer - if you do not want to honor the coupons and/ or specials on your window - just put a sign up. So my wife has been craving Carl's Jr. a lot during her pregnancy and this location is around where we live. We have gone 3 separate times and each time they always forget something or the food has not been good. 1st strike: the fries were stale af. Literally probably just scooped out what was left of lunch rush 2nd strike: we ordered double western cheeseburgers.... Missing onion rings in the burger 3rd strike: ordered jalapeño poppers, employee hands me the bag saying "all your food is in there" come to find we didn't have our poppers. This Carls is on the corner of the street, and there are not many people entering the restaurant to eat, but more cars enter the restaurant. The service attitude of the clerk is very good, and the room is bright, spacious and clean. The hygiene of the toilet is not good and needs to be improved to improve the hygiene quality. First, I'd like to say this is not the first time I've had problems with this specific Carl's Jr; The previous time, I had just got off work and was starving, and since this Carl's Jr. is on my way home I decided to stop by since the lines aren't usually long. I decided to order on the app to make things quicker and I could rest up for the following day. When I get there I let them know I had a mobile pick-up order, king story short, they had no order placed (I always double check I'm ordering at the correct establishment when ordering online); They wouldn't work with me even though I showed them proof of purchase, so--and I know I probably shouldn't have done but I was hungry and tired-- I decided to pull back around and order at the drive thru. Little known fact there is NO customer service page to submit any formal complaint, so I was never refunded that money. This happened last year. I decided to give it another chance this year. Now, what transpired today made me absolutely never want to order there again. The young man who attended us at the drive thru was nice and courteous (we extended the same kindness back) but I'm guessing he was still new to the job and he handed it off to his coworker. Now, this is where it goes downhill. Right off the bat the girl was instantly rude. I understand not wanting to be at work, or simply having something going on in life--I can say from personal experience my family has gone hell and back this year. But the pure rudeness radiating through the speaker box was abhorrent. We remain calm and continue our order, when we pull up to the window we're told to park in the front which we had no problem doing so (For additional context there was no long line but it did seem there were only 2 employees working). Only, when we checked our order, the sodas were not filled all the way (I would say 3/4 parts of the way). We decided it was not worth the trouble to argue for a wrong order since we were busy and just needed to eat to regain energy and continue. Ultimately, I'd say I do not recommend this particular Carl's Jr. I'd like to reiterate, though, that the young man was very kind and sent us off with a "Have a good day!". It is very disheartening also because there is a hospital a couple feet from there and to know people who are already going through a hard time would have to deal with this type of service. Ordered breakfast using the drive thru and had no issues. When I sat down to eat my breakfast at work a little while later, I realized there was BLACK MOLD on the inside of the bun they used to make it. No it wasn't char marks and even coworkers agreed it looked like mold. I returned a few hours later with my sandwich in hand and asked for a manager. The worker informed me that there was no manager on duty and asked if she could help. When I explained the situation, the cook immediately came and joined the conversation. The worker explained there was mold on the bread and the cook was dismissive right away stating it was from the grill. The entire time the cook spoke she spoke in Spanish. She then started to be rude, and stating I was just there to start problems seemingly not knowing I also spoke Spanish. As soon as I chimed in with "Yo también hablo Español" you would've thought they'd seen a ghost; the look on their faces was priceless. The cook then proceeded to become defensive and claim she "doesn't serve rotten food and she would eat it no problem." Good for you! At no time was I rude or arguing back with the cook. I was here with my aunt having a rib burger. This is her favorite place. They can be more pricy $ but good portions. As we were at the counter the staff was talking about expired deserts - the date on the back was expired as of today. One of the employees ask the Manager what to do ( well of course we over heard everything) she advised them to remove the old expiration date and add a new one. This is so bad ! I came in today to get an oreo shake that cost almost $5 which I thought was ok assuming I got a decent size one. I asked without whip cream. The matter, I would not give this restaurant any stores. The restrooms were clean, however there is this disgustingly stale smell of disinfectant and bleach. The dining area is clean, but then again, it should be since nobody seems to eat here. The manager could care less for the customers. This is not just an opinion of mine but I feel like I have witnessed her dealing with something very small that could have been easily resolved but instead she made the situation worse, serving as proof of her lacking the skills necessary to be an effective associate in management and customer service. She had a horrible attitude. Are usually do not write reviews immediately after visiting the restaurant. It tends to take me a few days, sometimes longer. In this case, my experience was so horrible that I just had to write this now. When I came into the restaurant, there was one other couple in front of me in line. They were asking for very specific things on how they would like their food prepared. At first, I thought they were being picky. But then, I noticed the gentleman explaining to the cashier what he ordered, how he wanted his food prepared, and how it had initially been given to him. He was so unhappy that he was returning his order altogether. He wanted to order the same item but made to his specifications. I could see what he was upset. He kept saying things like' "I want my burger to look like the picture!" , or "...make it just like that!" The cashier did not know what to do. She said that she gave him exactly what he had ordered and that they were not going to change it for him. She then said something about them having given him exactly what he had asked for and that it was the same as the picture. He disassembled his burger in front of the cashiers eyes. He asked them to compare the picture to the burger that he got, and to look at the burgers toppings inside: lettuce tomato and onion. On his burger, he had no tomato. He had too much onion. And the worst part, he had less than a quarter leaf of lettuce inside of the burger of his. I could totally understand why he was upset. Not only was his burger unappetizing looking but they also forgot to give him his fries. He was upset. He said that he frequents this location and that they always make mistakes. He says that he thinks that they're too concerned about socializing and being on their phone that they do not give a care about their customers. After hearing about how irresponsible they are with food and orders and quality, I decided that I would just get something really small to tide me over. I ordered a large fries and a drink. You would think that is something that they could not mess up easily. The first 4 cups that they gave me we're all dirty. The lid that they gave me was broken. There are plenty of straws waiting to be used but with milk and cups and broken lids and dirty this and that, it is no wonder that people have not been using the Shaws up. He will probably change your mind about ordering drinks. And even with my fries, I did not think that they would be a problem. There was. I know that the cost of food in general has gone up but for me to have ordered a large fries and it look like a small, I was definitely unhappy. I think I was more excited about getting out of bed and I was staying to have them cut my order. I let it slide, but I am still upset. I went inside to ask them to look at these fries and to tell me that those really look like a large order fries. The manager was the one who dealt with me. She said that if I did not have my receipt that she could not fix anything. The cashier that helped me, she only looked on and did not say a word. She was not going to help me although she remembered me. How could you not? I was your absolute last guest. And I had not even left the counter more than two minutes before my asking them to check my fries. Clearly posted on the counter at the cash register, it was a small sign that says that the store would appreciate your feedback and that your voice or opinion matters. I have a feeling that they want you to do a survey or something but you need a receipt to be able to do that. They do not give me a receipt. When I asked for one, the manager said that they didn't have it. I find that really hard to believe. I may just have to contact corporate. That might be the better thing. I can't even begin to tell you how upsetting it was to be there and listen to all these people come in with their problems about their orders.
