BURGER - $5.99 - First off, i just wanted to mention the price on this sandwhich is pretty worth it for a larger burger. This burger comes with 2 charbroiled beef patties, two slices of American cheese, grilled onions, the classic sauce, lettuce, tomato and seeded bun. I recieved my burger warm. All of the cheese, grilled onions, and sauce just melted. I love the grilled onions on this burger. It adds a little sweetness and flavor to this burger. The only CONS on this burger is that they add too much salt on the grilled onions so it made my burger a bit salty. I'm not sure why the onions are salty but i found that it is the onions that made this burger extra salty. The onions were not nicely spread so some area does not have onion and those area are less salty. The area that have more onions are more salty. Not bad, not great, but did the job. I went through the drive-through to get a later dinner for myself and another. I ordered a Beyond Burger Famous Star, no cheese, no sauce or spread, and added extra lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. I got the combo which included fries, ordered with no salt, and got a side of onion rings, as well as an order of chicken stars. Now honestly, having had Beyond Burgers different times, different places, they actually produced a fairly good one. I received all items correct. Yes, I customized, but with nobody behind in line... and too many times, I have ordered items that inevitably came out cold. So, if they don't mind taking the time to make things fresh, I don't mind a short wait . I appreciate it. The worker did repeat the order back just to make sure, and asked what specific sauces, ketchup, and how many I'd like. They were cordial and thanked me for coming. Things to improve: The fry container being filled to the correct level, especially when going large on the combo. Also, all the items ordered got wedged in one regular sized brown paper bag, making it difficult to pull out items without spilling out, and the bag tearing. Just as with all restaurants recently, prices have noticeably increased, so portion sizes living up to expectations are more important than ever... sometimes we share. The dude and I came to this Carl's Jr. on 11/05/20 as I haven't had Carl's Jr. in years or at least it felt that way. Everything was going well as we went thru around 8pm for a late dinner. We were greeted by staff on the microphone. My favorite to get is the Bacon Chicken Swiss with NO MAYO! Like none at all with crisscut fries. So I usually check my order but since I told them 4 times NO MAYO I thought they would get my point across which apparently they didn't as my Chicken SANDWICH was filled with MAYO like A LOT. I was so ticked off I didn't even take pictures. I was so hungry and upset. The dude offered to go back but I was so tired and just wanted to go to bed as it was already 9pm and I was so OVER IT. $9 sandwich gone to waste. They have flavor, they are a good size, and the meat doesn't contain chunks of bone as does that of some of their competitors. 12/05/21 1:45 Ordered something stupidly simple. Beyond famous star, no Mayo, no cheese. First try, had cheese. No biggie. Shit happens. Bring it back. Second try. No cheese this time but now Mayo. I go inside this time and calmly explain what happened. While I'm waiting for the food I ACTUALLY ordered after now 45 minutes, I hear them making jokes and comments in the back. "This is forty bucks just wasted" "Haha just scrape it off" And more. Many other customers would have been a lot ruder at that point. I was trying to be polite despite that I had had a long day because I understand food service sucks to work in. But thank you, for having a chuckle at my expense. Carl's Jr. in Sanger has been such a good experience. We started going there March 2020 because they HS e Beyond Burger. The staff started remembering us. We use the coupon survey on the back of the receipt often. It gets us two for one options. Yes, Carl's Jr. does cost a bit more, but it's worth it. If you want a full resturant burger, tasty fries and other items. I can pay less elsewhere, but it's more bun and Mayo, with shredded lettuce. The food here has large leave lettuce, a bun that doesn't dissolve when Mayo hits it. Had actually taste like food. I think it's worth it! read more

I can honestly go to a sit down place and get a better quality meal for the prices I pay at Carl's. On my latest venture we got the double western bacon cheeseburger meal and a chicken tender 3 pack. The burger was decent, but I would say that everything was overpriced. We paid nearly $20 for our burger, 1 fry, small soda, and 3 piece tenders. The tenders were almost too juicy, if that makes sense... kind of a weird sensation... next time I will stick to the burger. The staff was relatively friendly through the drive-they. The burger bun was hard on top but I was still able to eat it once I tore around the edges and made the bun the same size as the small meat patty. My wife and I went thru the drive thru at the Carl's Jr. on Bernardo Center Drive this afternoon. She ordered the Charbroiled Chicken and I ordered the Prime Rib and Cheddar thickburger. I have been wanting to try this sandwich since it was added to the menu. We got home about 10 minutes later. When we got the contents of the bag and opened our sandwiches we found my wife's order was correct but my sandwich was a Guacamole and Bacon burger, clearly very close to the Prime Rib and Cheddar... I don't do spicy guacamole and I had my heart set on a Prime Rib sandwich. So much for Carl's Jr. Won't be returning to Carl's Jr. Very disappointed, very straight forward, simple order. After years of being let down by this place I figure it's time I reviewed it. Carl's Jr has a special place in my heart as the smell of those charbroiled burgers summon up memories of childhood. Unfortunately, this is the closest CJs to my house and for some reason it is significantly worse than any other CJs I have ever been to. The specific disappointments over the years are numerous yet I will detail the most recent ones. (I have this pattern of going there, being disappointed, pledging not to go back, and then after some time passes giving them another shot only to be let down again.). One complaint is not food related but important if you've got little ones who beg to visit fast food establishments (and for whom such visits are not frequent)... the toys in their Kid's meals never seem to line up with what is advertised. In fact, the last time I brought my twins here (they were 6 at the time) all they had were the toddler toys. For the food in general, nothing ever seems fresh. I swear the "charbroiled" patties are reheated in the microwave here! Same goes for the chicken patties (which normally I love on both sandwiches and salads). The buns usually seem stale as well and many times seem as though they have traveled a long way before reaching the wrapper (they are pretty torn up). And finally, my most recent encounter with them, one of my fellow Yelpers raves about CJ's Big Country Breakfast Burrito and I went against my better judgement and picked one up from this location on my way out of town 2 weekends ago. This was my 1st time trying this particular item. It was much smaller than I expected, seemed to be more tortilla than anything else, and... after eating about 10 bites I bit down on and pulled out of my mouth, a long , black hair! (Mine is curly and auburn so I know it definitely did not belong to me.). Oh and I've since had the Big Country Breakfast burrito (from the Clovis/Herndon location) and it was at least a third bigger, full of tasty gravy, egg, HASH BROWNS (this and the gravy are the selling points for me), bacon, and sausage (or might be ham, hard to tell), and hair-free! read more

The customer service here is fantastic! the first time I went in they got my order wrong. I went all the way back home before I had found out, I had called to let them know what had happened and the manager Lynn, gave the best customer service I have ever received from a fast food joint. She made sure that the I felt cared for as a customer and took the incident very seriously and professionally. The next time I went in, Lynn replaced my order completely with no charge and personally delivered my meal to me to make sure there was nothing wrong. She went above and beyond to make my experience at her store pleasurable. Kudos to Carl's Jr. for hiring exceptional leaders such as Lynn. Update: Lynn is gone? I literally gasped when they gave my total in the drive through. 17 dollars for burger fries and a coke in a combo. I paid the money, took the food home, and ate. I'm assuming they keep some pre-cooked patties in a warmer of some kind because the patty in my burger was dry as a bone, not to mention barely warm. The fries seemed reheated in the fryer to 'freshen' them up. When the Diet Coke is the 'highlight' of your overpriced meal, there's a problem ok? About 8pm went drive thru to this Carl's Jr. At Shaw and Clovis ordered a chicken salad. A girl asked what kind of dressing I wanted. I requested both ranch and balsamic. She said okay. When I got home no dressing in the bag. I was so pissed, I can't eat my salad. The following night I went back to the store the same time. I told the guy that was also present the night before about the missing dressing for my salad. With a very cold answer he said, " oh maybe we missed it" no apologies whatsoever. I said wow! So I stopped by Carl's junior at the corner of Shaw and Clovis Avenue for lunch today. I noticed none of the employees were wearing masks or gloves. I asked why they weren't at least wearing gloves and the manager lady over there said because this is Clovis she had a real attitude and was very rude to me. Meanwhile as they were handing me my sodas the one guy just sneezed into his hand and grabbed my soda and handed it to me. I told him I didn't want that soda she said if I didn't take it they would call Clovis PD on me really really Carl's Jr. this is how you treat your customers I will not eat at a restaurant where they don't at least wear gloves enter at your own risk very very poor public relations. How many people go for a brisk four-mile walk on the Old Town Trail in Clovis/Fresno and stop at 9:30am to buy burgers at Carl's Jr.? Two Yelpers from Seattle, that's who. The closest Carl's Jr. we have at home is in Tacoma, so when we visit Stephen's 'rents in Fresno, he always maps out the Carl's Jr.'s and In-N-Out's. This trip was no exception. When we stopped in to find out when the store started serving burgers, Stephen got (Carl's Jr) stars in his eyes when an employee responded, "When we open, at 5am." So, there we were. At 9:30am. Ordering a $6 Western Bacon Cheeseburger and a regular Western Bacon Cheeseburger, some fries and a couple drinks. We received our plastic number and were served in less than 10 minutes. The food was as I always remembered it: probably carcinogenic & atherogenic, but also very, very tasty. We also ordered a 5 piece chicken strip, which was soggy and uneatable, 2 cheeseburgers that also had burnt pattys, and an order of large crisscut fries and fried zucchini which were also soggy with bad taste to the oil. I called and a man named nick who I presumed to be the owner was so nice.
