First time in Carl's, just wanted a bite to eat. Menu is large and varied with breakfast as well as lunch. Chicken and fish included with the Angus burger choices. Spied a guacamole bacon thick burger and gave it a Try. Wow, a flavor explosion in my mouth. Guacamole was mildly spicy and the burger was delicious and juicy. The bun is freshly baked on site and is far and away the best bun I have had my teeth into in some time. Process were reasonable and all items are available as a meal or as a stand alone sandwich. Didn't bother with the fries and pop and was well satisfied with this delicious flavorful sandwich. I will be back to try more of the menu, and from my first experience I would recommend to anyone, give Carl's a try. read more

Whenever I go to Carl's Jr I always get the same thing: Super Bacon Burger and onion rings. We came here for a late dinner tonight and I was so disappointed. My Super Bacon Burger was a straight up failure. A joke. I laughed at first and then I just got really ticked off. A glob of mayo was slapped on, HALF A SLICE OF CHEESE AND TWO SHORT SCRAWNY PIECES OF BACON. It was real ghetto and a half-arsed effort. We paid nearly $30 for our meals. I could've just went to McDonald's and got two bacon doubles if it was going to be like that. I had eaten my onion rings first so by the time I got to my burger it was 9:55 pm (10 is closing time) with four people in line. If there was more time I would've demanded a new Super Bacon Burger, but there is no telling what the employees in the back would've done to it. It wasn't worth coming out here. While the food was good I had to wait forever in the Drive-Thru. My guess is that they were very understaffed. Also, while they offered me a receipt, all that they gave me was the credit card receipt where as what I need is an itemized receipt. Most fast food places don't get this wrong. I took the wrong turn when I get off the highway and end up in this little plaza. I've always been a burger lover, and it was about lunch time, so I gave this lil burger joint a try. I ordered the portobello mushrooms burger. It's a bit over priced with the size of the burger, but other than the price I have no other complaints. The party is juicy, the bun is homemade and chewy, the veggies were fresh and the mushroom is very nicely sauteed along with cheese. We both had the bacon cheddar melt combo. The charbroiled meat tasted good, however as a whole the burger didn't because of a lack of cheese. There was an orange sauce that was supposed to be the "cheddar" sauce, and it basically had no taste. We found the burger not to be as described, there was no melted cheese at all. My husband and I went to your new Abbotsford BC location. Neither of us have been to any Carl's Jr. We looked forward to trying something new. It was horrible. In fact, far exceeded horrible. To start with, this is a brand new restaurant. It was filthy. Our table was covered in salt and crumbs. When I went to wipe it with a napkin, the dispenser on the table was empty. So I had to switch it with one on another table. A simple swipe was not sufficient; there was caked on ketchup and other filth. These tables had not been cleaned in a long time, at least not with a wet or even damp cloth. Again, this is a brand new restaurant. Then our meals arrived. I left the napkins used to wipe the table with at the end of the table with our number placard, hoping that the food delivery person would pick them up when they picked up the placard. The left the dirty napkins there and took the placard. My hamburger was stone cold. I took a bite, and noticed the bottom bun was very hard. I didn't taste char that might lead to a hard texture. So I pulled it apart. The bun was stale. So stale, it was cement hard on the outside, and a creepy soft stale on the inside. My milkshake was a solid chunk of ice cream. We returned our meal. We got our money back. What really made me angry was the fact that the owner was just leaving the restaurant and saw and heard that we were returning our meal. He said nothing to us, only to the young man working, telling him to have us jump queue, I suppose so we didn't cause a scene. Well let me tell you. I will be calling the City of Abbotsford to report this. And I promise you, that if I have the slightest signs of food poisoning from the single bite of nasty disgusting food I had at this restaurant, you will certainly be hearing from me again. I hope for your sake that you either send someone here that knows what they are doing before the reputation of this franchise goes down the toilet-which is what I would compare my meal to. read more

I had a chicken burger with a 2 inch size chicken piece in it. When I complained I was told that next time I come they will give me a bigger chicken breast. Seriously? So I filled out a comment card in store. On the card it says, "place completed card in comment box". There was no box in store. I asked the staff where the box was and I was told there isn't one, just give the card to us. I told them that I'm complaining about you, if I give it to you, you are going to throw it away. They laughed, I have it to em and never heard back. About a month later I told this story to their customer service number, that was over a month ago from now and still haven't heard anything back. AVOID. We were completely denied service and asked to leave. My friend and I walked in at 6;30 on a Sunday night and there was a youth hockey team in there. We lined up and the mananger looked at us and said "it will be at least a half hour before we can serve you. You should leave." Then he turned around and ignored us. No attempt at sympathy or apology. He just kicked us out of his restaurant. I am in my mid 30s so this is not some case of ageism against teenagers (not that it's any better.) to make it even worse cars were going through the drive thru without issue. I will never go back to this location or any Carls Jr again. It is one of the worst customer experiences of my life. Give your money to a restaurant that cares about its customers. read more

Do not eat here unless you just want to wait forever for a small overpriced snack. I ordered the honey mustard chicken sandwich. the picture on their board shows a large whole breaded chicken fillet on a nice looking bun..was $5.79 for just the burger so assumed it would be a reasonable size. After waiting almost 15 mins i got a small squished bun with one little shrivelled chicken finger on it...very little sauce.. I assumed it was an error so showed it to the staff who informed me thats the way it is...i responded with doesn't look like the picture...i recently read that they no longer do whole fillets but instead use chicken fingers..first they should update their display boards but second it was supposed to have 2 chicken fingers not one teeny little under achiever with a side order of attitude. If i wanted a snack i would have stopped at Mcdonalds for a Mctaster for $2.50 not the $6.00 i paid. I will not eat here again and would not recommend them...the food is not great, the service is slow and the attitude of the staff is they simply don't give a darn.
