Today was the last visit...they ruined a 1200$ Loro Piana cashmere winter coat of mine I need for a business trip to Boston this week. It reeks like a urinal cake now! When she put it in my car, she didn't even hang it on the hanger hook and it fell onto the floorboards--she just shut the car door and asked for my payment. Last summer, they lost a handful of very expensive items of ours in a drop off and she argued that we never dropped them off and that mistakes like that do not happen at Mitchell's. In our very next pickup, we received a men's shirt that didn't belong to us, so I took it right back to Mitchell's and she didn't even say thank you. About 3 months later, our missing items magically appeared in a pickup and she told us we wouldn't be charged for them since it was their error. There are other dry cleaning options out there in Boerne, and we've finally had enough after a decade or more of supporting this local business.

I was in and out in no time and was told my 4 pieces: a suit, blazer, and skirt would be ready before 6 pm the following day. Unfortunately, I was not able to pick them up until a few days later, which the rep said would not be a problem. It was the same rep when I picked them up today. She seemed under the weather but was courteous and wore a mask and avoided in engaging in small talk as before, but this did not come off as rude, instead, to prevent unnecessarily spreading germs. Although the pricing was still more than I would pay outside of Stone Oak, it was still less than the last place I used and just as convenient. Based on my first experience, I would recommend them.

Today a friend went in to pick up and was told only 2 of 3 items there and it would be $45 to pick up! She left without paying, thankfully. I had a dress dry cleaned which cost me a total of $50.06 after tax. My first time experience was the same as my second. This woman had a very mean mug on her face ... she asked me questions I didn't know the answer too as I'm not familiar with clothing products & how they're supposed to be washed and became frustrated with me. I decided that it would be best to leave the dress there as I needed it for an event the following weekend. Upon pickup I was greeted by a different woman who was much more bubbly, kind, and made me feel like a welcome customer. I paid, analyzed the dress and was super happy. I decided to leave the bad taste of the woman behind as I understand people have their days.. I went in again as I needed two shirts dry cleaned.. I was again greeted by the woman with the mug on her face, I kindly asked how much it would cost me to have the shirts dry cleaned and she told me $28 a piece, I was fine with that but she was demanding that I now pay upfront... (I was in a different car so I didn't have my wallet - fully aware that's my fault.) I began to mention how I had just recently gotten dress dry cleaned and that I could pay upon pickup and she because super aggressive stating that if "I can't afford to pay now there will be no service." I kindly grabbed my shirts and left. I had no problem running home grabbing my wallet and returning but after being spoken too like that I decided I didn't wanna spend my money here again. It saddens me that all it takes is one bad apple to ruin the whole experience.
