Kind io dark in the booths; I had trouble reading the menu.

The two cheese enchiladas were okay as were the rice and refried beans. Lots of cheese but otherwise just carbohydrates. Service was fast. The atmosphere a bit gloomy except for a table getting light from the windows. I was there for lunch, so didn't try the larger meals; seafood is their specialty.

    Massive burrito!

Really really good & so reasonably priced! I love the fact that they're open late, too. I got their fajita burrito with chicken & it was massive! It was 2 full meals in 1 burrito. They also serve chips & salsa on the house & if you want a simple fountain drink, they're only $1! I would say that it's not the absolute best Mexican food I've had in the area (compared so some places in the Rogue Valley, I know Cave Junction is Illinois Valley), but they're doing things right! They're not over charging for the sake of simply being able to, the service is good, quick & friendly & they're open for those that need to catch a bite later in the evening. Now I know that when I'm in Cave Junction, I have a great little Mexican joint as a solid option!

Pulpo Rancheros, Frijoles de la Olla, a chili relleno and Pacifico Clara on tap.

Bleah. Just bleah. The food is uninspired. It lacks flavor and spice. I've gone several times and it continues in its mediocrity. The service is good - friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant. The bar drinks are decent. But the food is just bleah.

This is how good it all was!

Phenomenal service and great drinks alone are reason enough to return! The light music in the backdrop and shaded patio make for a fine experience!

I stopped by for lunch on a slow day and ordered the tacos with carne asada. The meat was grilled with just a little bit of char and the avocado was a nice accompaniment. The beans were cooked nicely with onions, tomatoes, and bacon but they could have had more flavor. Of course, I had no problem eating them all, though. I really enjoyed my meal and cleaned my plate well.

PARKING: is available and can accommodate a fair amount of people. No fee is required to park. VENUE: You may choose between the option of being sit inside or outside with either having a booth or chairs. The lighting inside is dim and the noise level is average. FOOD: I chose the mole enchilada plate. I am not a fan of refried beans and rice, but this is what they offer and it is mentioned in the menu. The mole was neither sweet nor spicy but gave the enchiladas a richer flavor. Very average dish. DRINK: I HIGHLY recommend the michelada with a modelo as a paired bear. As an Los Angeles native I have the opportunity of trying many micheladas and this meets up with my expectations. Truthfully, this drink is what made my experience all the better. SERVICE: At first, my partner and I were uncertain if I waiter was upset because he seemed the want to rush our order and didnt make much eye contact but shortly after everything seemed to cool down and he seemed more attentive and refilled our chip basket. OVERALL: This is one of the very few Mexican food restaurants near Cave Junction, OR. and stays open till 10pm.

So the food is pretty good and the service was great atmosphere awesome but it was missing something. I wasn't blown away by the food but as much as I travel I've become sort of a Mexican food snob lol. I only felt like it could of had a little more spice and flare to it. They also charge per glass of soda which doesn't come from a can so that made no sense sort of tacky.

Casita de Oro was a wonderful find during a business trip to Brookings. We totally forgot that…read morewinter hours in Gold Beach means no one is open on a Tuesday night, but they were! This tiny little spot was HOPPING. They only have three 4-tops and 6 bar seats, so expect to wait for a seat. Or, better yet, use their drive through window for a grab and go meal. The inside is designed like your traditional Mexican restaurant with rustic paintings on the walls, lots of bright colors, parrots, etc. You know the place, its your favorite neighborhood Mexican eatery. The food was pretty darn good. I had the Camarones Rojo and my wife tried the birria torta. Both dishes were fantastic, the shrimp was spicy and super flavorful and their beans & rice are AMAZING. Best I've had outside of Mexico really. My wife loved her torta. The carne was juicy, the bread crispy on the outside and chewy inside, fantastic. You have to order the consume separately but its a must. It ranks in my wife's top 3 favorites. There were only a couple not quite perfect things. Nothing to major, but worth mentioning. The birria torta came with raw jalapeños. While fresh and usually enjoyable, this just provided an additional raw heat that didn't go we'll with the rest so she removed them. If you dine in they provide chips & salsa. Unfortunately the salsa was quite bland. The chips needed salt too. They worked as an appetizer but could have been better. They have a few more dishes we're excited to try and look forward to eating here again!

Not a whole lot of takeout options in Gold Beach, but this one had some of the best Yelp reviews…read more Ordered some chicken flautas which were ready for pickup in less than 10 minutes. Sadly they don't have black beans so I opted for double rice in place of the refried. The flautas had a decent amount of chicken, plus fresh guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. Fairly large portion for a reasonable price, definitely filled me up. Didn't eat all the rice, but the flautas were nice and crispy and very enjoyable going down. Chips & salsa available too. Would recommend if in town and in the mood for some quality Mexican!
