I hired Hansen's to cut down multiple large trees in my yard. During the bid appointment, Kyle said that we could sell our wood after, and that he had a contact that buys timber to sell to the lumber yard, and he would connect us. Our invoice says they would cut our wood to "marketable sections". After they fell all the wood (and after we had stupidly paid them in full with cash), I called and texted both Kyle and Warren multiple times in attempts to get the contact who would buy our wood. Warren would say I had to talk to Kyle and Kyle wouldn't return texts, and his phone went straight to voicemail. I never got that contact. Desperate, I googled and called three different log buying companies, and they all said that the wood was not prepared properly to purchase, and it was not placed in ways that they could access to take away anyway. I reached out to Hansen's again to ask them to just cut the wood into firewood sections and chip some so that it was more manageable for me as a normal person to give away or move and so that giant felled trees and heavy cords were not blocking our yard and our neighbors yard. They did not return my call or texts again. I treated them fairly and was extremely patient at every stage, and I am still baffled in why they did this- don't think anyone would reasonably expect their yard to be left like this after a tree service company has been there. If they made a mistake and what they thought at the quote stage about having timber to sell at the end was not accurate, they should have worked with me to resolve and figure out a solution instead of just ignoring and not answering calls and leaving me with a giant mess to figure out. They come off as nice and talk a good talk but actions speak louder than words, and I don't think this was acceptable way to treat a customer. Also there are numerous other things I am not mentioning- they cracked the asphalt of the road in front of my house/neighbors driveway, late for multiple appointments, first quote they sent me was almost double what he told me in person and had to fix it, etc. In retrospect, there were many signs of unprofessionalism from the beginning that I wish I had done more research. Please see the pictures of the state they left my yard.

Even though no one would be there during the week in question, he was happy to go over, check things out, and report back to me with several pictures of what needed fixing. On the day of the work, he kept us updated with pictures and videos of the crew getting it all done. It was very convenient to be able to take care of this task remotely, and we're relieved that we're a lot less likely to have dead trees falling across our drive anytime soon, and won't have any more rats running across branches to the cabin's roof. They come out to give an estimate, are nice and helpful but be careful once you hire them...IF you can get them to respond to your emails/calls. When Brett finally came out to cut some trees, his guy drove in my landscaping leaving a tire rut that now fills with water and ran over a plant killing it. When I pointed it out to Brett he got mad and said multiple times, angrily, they didn't do it, calling me a liar. He finally said they'd take care of it "but we didn't do it." I saw them do it. Weeks went by and no sign of them or contact. I sent them an email and now, after weeks, still no word. Apparently they don't need the money as their customer service is pitiful. There are plenty of tree services out there, stay clear of these guys!!

I got bids from 4 different companies, but I knew right away I'd be hiring Green Triangle. Victor knows trees and showed me three of the many Douglas Fir trees that were diseased and had to come down. He walked the property taking notes. We have an acre. He and his crew also got rid of enormous patches of blackberries and scotch broom, clearing the pasture and cleaning up the front and back yards. He had a huge job to do, left the site clean, and did excellent work. He also had appropriate equipment (which was good, because enormous limbs of the overgrown trees were being chipped just about all day). The cost was very reasonable as well. So they left them about 4 to 5 feet tall, which was perfect. It was on a very precarious slope. They were able to work around the slope, tight areas, homes nearby and power lines. Of course the powerlines were turned off. They did a fabulous job. I could not believe how efficient they are and how well they did. I will always use them for all my tree removal. They were very quiet and organized when I'd go down to look and check to see how they were doing. You could hardly tell they were there very professional and knew exactly what they were doing.
