I have loose curls and before my haircut today it was super long and just hanging there - blah. I went to Stephanie not sure what I wanted - I just knew I needed a change and something a little more grown-up looking. I also told her I wanted something easy and that would look good with little to no product. Stephanie was super helpful with suggestions and convinced me to try a shorter and more modern look. Then she dry cut my hair -- something I've never had done before! So far so good! Followed that up with full shampoo and conditioner wash (smelled fantastic!) and then she diffused my hair to show me how it would look when it dries naturally. I love the results! While it's a bit shorter than I thought I wanted, I am so glad she talked me into it! I can still pull it into a ponytail and the texture is SO MUCH BETTER than past haircuts I've had since she thinned it a bit as she cut it - another technique I've never had used on my hair before. I love it. This is better than I was hoping for and I'm so glad to have a lot less hair as the summer heats up. If you have curly hair, you've got to go see Stephanie! Char is professional, knowledgeable, and skilled at cutting hair. She even remembers how I like my hair trimmed and styled. Once, she even offered a free wash since I needed to be back at work immediately after my haircut. Other hair salons charge double or even triple what Clipperz does, and they don't even do a good job. Overall, I definitely recommend Clipperz Hair Shop. They pair excellent service with reasonable prices!

My only frustration was that the price I was quoted over the phone was *well* under the price I ended up being quoted at the salon, and I had to skip the trim in order to stay within budget. The prices are still fairly reasonable, but everything being "a la carte" (they charge extra on top of balayage for both the trim AND the toner) means that you're not really going to have a good idea of pricing until you're actually in the chair. I have never seen toner be a separate charge on top of balayage/highlights, that was super strange to me. On top of that, there's no parking, street parking is paid, and they don't validate for the garage next door. A little frustrating but fine as long as you're aware of that in advance.
