It's was extremely busy in the first couple of weeks since opening and almost impossible to get a table! Luckily on a busy Saturday a member of staff did her best to squeeze myself and Scott C in. Now Brighton has its fair share of Mexican restaurants. I wasn't really too sure what to expect, as the various independents and chains in Brighton really vary a lot in quality. Our server was a lovely young lady called Sam, who talked us through the menu and said that Wahaca is mainly known for it's smaller street food dishes. You pick 2-3 dishes per person and share (or not share, depending on your mood). Scott and I opted for a few street food dishes between us, which turned out to be a lot more filling than I expected! I've been a few times since my first visit - it's a good place to pop in for a light lunch if you're in town, and excellent for meeting friends for cocktails. Overall I am super impressed. Wahaca has been a fab addition to the Brighton food scene in my opinion :)

If you like fajitas pop down Mon or Wed as they offer large chicken or vegetarian fajitas for £15 and these will easily fill two hungry tummies. Other deals include Tapas for two for £15 on Tuesdays and a two-course special menu available Sun-Thurs for £8.95. This place is great for special occasions as the sangria flows freely (£10 per jug) and the staff are more than accommodating.
