This Mexican breakfast and lunchtime cafe has not been open that long, but brings a nice alternative to the eateries of Haywards Heath. As the name suggests they cook a range of burritos, enchiladas and related Mexican fare.
I have only stopped here for a plate of nachos during a lunch break (they offer 10% discount for offices in the area). They were perfectly acceptable, but I have had better in Brighton. I guess they have a bit of a seller's market on the Mexican front in Haywards Heath. They will also open early for breakfast and do deals on bacon sandwiches and a coffee.
You can eat in the cafe and they have a number of tables outside also if the weather is nice.
The staff were okay, but it seems it's more about the idea of cooking Mexican food, rather than an authentic Mexican with a business idea. This is where the place kind of loses it's steam, it's lack of authenticity. The food is all okay but nothing really stands out on the menu. The cafe is clean, but you don't feel like you are getting a taste of Mexico. If you want to vary your lunch then by all means give them a go, but don't expect to be blown away. read more
