We ordered the Meat meze which includes olives, dips, warm pitta bread, grilled halloumi cheese, kefdedakia, dolmades, Cyprus village salad, fried potatoes & choice of moussaka, stiado, pork souviake or sheftalia. It was so good that I'm salivating just thinking about it. I have it on good authority that the swordfish skewers and Karpasia Moussaka are key mains here so I'm already planning my second visit.

The only disappointment was the decor. The space is not overly inviting or cosy. Neither is it traditional in any way. There is a distinctly clinical feeling about the place, probably because it is quite colourless- we were hoping for a more traditional, vibrant atmosphere. Space is a bit limited, but there is seating inside and out (weather permitting). I can confidently say that this beef Wellington was one of the best I've ever had in my life. It takes 30 min for them to make it but it's well worth the wait. I've been to Gordon Ramsay's in Vegas. I've dined in Michelin restaurants. This was better. The filet was melt in your mouth perfect medium rare with a great wine sauce. The puff pastry and mushroom layers complimented it so well and if you can see that technique, no air bubbles between the meat and the pastry. Service was good. The clams were wonderful too - normally I'm not a fan of clams, but for some these ones were so good I think I might give them another try in the future. I liked the potatoes too, but the green beans were a bit too hard (undercooked?) for my liking. The minus one star is partially because I was a bit disappointed in the green beans, but also because the service in the beginning wasn't the best. We were left standing by the entrance for a really long time before being acknowledged. I think their system might be to only acknowledge you when there's a table ready? Not a fan of that, but not so much so as to stop me from coming here if I ever visit Brighton again.

More importantly though, the food was divine. As we're both foodies, we've been to a lot of Greek restaurants, some good and some bad, but this was the best. Our particular highlights were the cheese dishes - one baked feta with tomatoes and chilli, the other fried cheese with sesame and honey (very different and an amazing treat). All in all we would highly recommend this great Greek restaurant to anyone eating out in Brighton. A brilliant addition to the Brighton food scene.
