Around every corner was something for my eyes to behold. Here you'll find some lovely party napkins, a bauble that sparkles, the perfect card for a friend or a fantastic piece of decor for the season. I prefaced that because this past Sunday (7/20/26), me and my daughter strolled in before closing (7pm)..about 6:40ish. The sales lady working named Lisa, kept eyeing us with a sour pucker look on her face. When I realized it, I asked her "oh, I'm sorry, are you closed right now"?? She replies..coldly "yes". I looked at the time.. 6:50. So, I took advantage of the 10 minutes till the actual closing time of 7 because I wanted to stock up on their Ahhhh-mazing candles and it was my daughter's first time there. I rushed to the candle section scanning for my treasured candles. We overheard her loudly whispering her complaints to a young man that I assumed was a stalker for the store. At that point, I, sadly, put the 4 candles back down on the shelf because of the outward and blatant rudeness of this employee, got the best of me. This treatment to a loyal and repeat customer as myself, was absolutely unacceptable for me to ignore. I also needed my 22 year old daughter to see that, NOBODY deserves to be treated like that and still buy from that store. As I passed by the register, I asked her name. She proceeded to look at me up and down.. and responded "Lisa". (Like I was the rude one). I told her she was INCREDIBLY rude. And instead of apologizing or back tracking, she gave a quick sarcastic chuckle and looked at the young man with an entitled "can-you-believe-this" vibe. I walked out very upset that this..actually just happened!! I am leaving this review, not on the store itself, but because of the entrusted employee that is supposed to represent the goodness of "My Favorite Things" business. I called the owner and left a message to speak with her. Still waiting to hear back . I'm a business owner myself that, also depends on the public consumer and word of mouth. The owners have every right to know who is the face of their business when customers like myself walk in the door. I hope this doesn't happen to another happy and excited customer that was only wanting to stock up on some candles. I'll have to look elsewhere, unfortunately.. I'm sorry Lisza (THE OWNER). Then a girl with blue hair and eyebrows and a nasty demeanor let us know it was 8 minutes before close and then asked if we needed help. There literally was only one other family that came into the store the whole time we were there and only for a few minutes. My daughter looked around the entire store 2-3 times while I was looking at wallpaper. Neither the manager or the girl with blue hair said anything to either of us. My daughter said the blue haired girl was on her phone and she didn't see the manager. As we were leaving the manager comes up and asks if she can help us. I told her were had been there 45 minutes and no one has offered to help us except a few minutes prior. She said the designers were not available and I should have read the signs in the wallpaper area. She said she and the other girl were the only employees there and busy helping people in the paint department. Since there were really no other customers and my daughter saw otherwise, this was a complete falsehood. Clearly she was not management material (blonde haired, middle aged lady) and the blue haired girl was not interested in customer service only here phone. Both were rude, unprofessional. I would not recommend going to this location or Guiry's in general. It's too bad, I have bought many things there in the past.

It was difficult to find anyone to help me, but when I did, he was very helpful. Almost everything I bought was summer stuff on clearance. A lot of summer and garden stuff is NOT on clearance. Also weird, as I write this in early November. I didn't really need two adorable garden gnomes, but I wanted them. Alas, not on clearance, and neither was the large grey resin alligator. I probably would have bought it at $40, but definitely not at $80. Silly impulses can only go so far. $80 is too far for me. Hangers are well priced, will go back and get them another time. It's always the ugliest patio cushions that go on sale. Oh well. Some patio umbrellas are on clearance, others are not. Also weird. Maybe some patterns are temporary and others permanent stock.

We have been frequenting D'Amore Interiors since they were located on the I-70 Frontage on the West side of Denver. I guess that must be close to two decades! When they moved to their current location, we found them promptly, as we needed some leather dining room chairs!
