I met with Dr. Carl Buckhorn for the first time as my new primary care physician. He is a very good listener and spent almost an entire hour meeting with me to address several medical conditions. I found Dr. Buckhorn to be attentive, compassionate, caring, and quickly able to understand the need for further medical referrals. He also cares about your overall mental and physical well-being and is thorough. His staff is also extremely polite and easy to schedule and send documents and forms to as well. I would give Dr. Buckhorn and his team 6 stars if possible. I highly recommend Dr. Buckhorn not only as a Doctor of Internal Medicine but also as a Primary Care Physician. Also, Celese, the Patient Coordinator is extremely attentive and follows up with you the same day. I'm very happy to recommend Dr. Buckhorn as a Doctor of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Kurtz and his team are amazing. If, like me, you are anxious about seeing a Dr., then you…read moreshould come here. There is no judgement, just a team of healthcare professionals wanting to help you get on-track. It is clear that Dr. Kurtz is there to help you and does not dismiss anything you may be concerned about. I highly recommend this office if you are anxious about going back to a primary care physician, especially if you haven't been to one in a few years.

I have gone to Jason Kurtz for many years, until we had to extract our entire family from his…read morepractice. In the very beginning when he first started and was a brand new doctor, he was awesome. Now he's a total jerk and he has his uneducated office staff and PA running the business. just a few of our most prominent issues: 1. I was extorted by the front office, that he would not see me unless I paid a missed appointment, which I did not schedule. 2. The office refused to treat me, for a raging bladder infection that they tested me for, even though I'm a regular annual patient. I refused to pay the $50 to come BACK to the office the same day, for the RX. 3. His physicians assistant incorrectly diagnosed me as having HPV. And I had to go to another doctor for an incredibly painful procedure, all for nothing. I did not have HPV. 4. In my opinion Kurtz now has a God complex, he didn't used to. ***5. THEY REFUSED TO TREAT ME, AFTER I LEFT MY URINE SAMPLE....UNLESS I PAID WHAT FEELS LIKE A $50 EXTORTION FEE, in order to give me my prescription. When the doctor says they don't hold back care because of an unpaid balance, that is entirely incorrect, and I believe he's lying. His behavior is reprehensible, and he is fully aware of this. Don't say you weren't warned. ....*add the fact that he stands by his uneducated and extremely unprofessional staff, says even more. Do better Dr Kurtz. We ended up going to Dr Annette Bernhut in Orange and she is AWESOME. She cares about you as a person, vs you being the enemy

I originally transferred my child to this hospital out of sheer necessity, but I never expected to…read moremeet such an extraordinary doctor here. To be fair, the hospital's facilities and systems are quite outdated. The environment is not as clean, modern, or child-friendly as other children's hospitals that usually have bright spaces and play areas for kids. Even the admission forms are still on paper, available only in English and Spanish, which was difficult for me as someone who mainly reads Chinese. Everything changed when I met my child's doctor. She is a young Asian female doctor who speaks fluent Chinese. Her patience, attentiveness, and genuine care for children deeply moved me. Whether it was an examination or a procedure, she always asked for my consent first and carefully explained everything to both me and my child, which gradually eased my child's anxiety and resistance. My child lost his mother a year ago, so I have been especially concerned about his mental health, but I hadn't found the courage to tell him the truth. Now that he has turned four, I decided to seek advice from a family doctor. Her unique perspective and simple, understandable words touched me and gave me the courage to finally make a decision. From her eyes, I could see sincerity, compassion, and deep empathy. She cares not only about a child's physical well-being but also about their emotional growth. She offered me practical advice and thoughtful guidance that brought comfort to me as well--someone who is still struggling with grief. In many ways, she helped heal me too, restoring my confidence and hope for my child's future. I am truly grateful, and I feel very fortunate to have met such a doctor in a hospital I never expected much from. For me, it was a blessing--and for my child, who has already endured such hardship, it was an even greater blessing.

When I called to make my appointment, I found out that Dr. Yoo moved his practice to a new building in Diamond Bar as of March 2024. Dr. Yoo's new office is located in the newly renovated Diamond Bar Medical Plaza, which was previously a Chuck E. Cheese (if you all were in the area when that was around). Looks like they are still in construction, as a couple offices are still vacant with plastic on the glass windows. The staff I encountered all very friendly and nice. Dr. Yoo was professional and clearly explained the process and indicated what I needed to do to prep for my procedure. I came in on a Monday and the front staff was able to fit me into an appointment on Thursday due to a last minute cancellation. This kind of procedure is not fun, but the entire staff made me feel comfortable the entire time, and the nurse who attended to me was so nice, I felt like my mom was taking care of me. =) She made sure I had extra blankets because I was cold and came by a couple times to made sure my IV was ok. I got a call the day after to follow up and see how I was feeling and if I was experiencing any issues. I appreciate the check in even though I was feeling good! I highly recommend Dr. Yoo if you need an gastroenterologist.
