There is a flaw in Yelp! You should be able to 1/2 star, or 1/4 of a 1/2 of an 1/8 of a 1/5 of a star, such as in this case? Problem is, I know I have to blame a lot on myself. This company is not with BBB and I had no previous reviews. I trusted them because I met them on the job, helping out homeless children here in Atlanta. They gave me "flat rate" rather than hourly because of the work I do for non-profit. Obviously that flat rate ranked me second in everything. Here is the story. On the last day of my lease, of course, I scheduled to have them move me out, starting at 9am. I had a one bedroom apartment with about 50 boxes, washer/dryer, mattress, desk, recliner, and entertainment center. That is it. I had gotten rid of a lot of furniture to replace later. They called me the night before, saying "We won't be there until noon." Noon came around, they were nowhere to be seen and they didn't call me, so I called the office, was put on hold for 5 minutes and finally was told "they are being help up and will be there around 3". No where to be seen at 3. No call. Of course I called again, got put on hold for 5 minutes and eventually was told "they will be there at 6." I was ready to get a UHaul and a couple cheap illegal mexicans. But we'd signed a contract, only problem is ME made the mistake in not having the starting time on there, just the date. A friend stopped by asking how things are going and I simply looked up at the sky. He asked "why is you face so red?!" I said "no comment" lol (I can laugh at it now). 6 o clock come around, again no movers, no van, no nothing. I was ready to give up. A couple friends had told me "don't worry about it. We'll take care of you tomorrow." I got a call around 6:30 (YES! THEY actually learned how to press the buttons on a phone!). I was told by the office that the movers were on their way. I didn't pay much attention. I went ahead and loaded up my van with a few boxes and made my second trip over to the new place. About 8:30PM (yes, 11 1/2 hours from the original scheduled time), one of them called me saying "we are at Clairmont and on our way now. Do you have stairs that we are going to have to climb?" Clairmont is about 45 minutes away and I should trust them if they are asking about stairs while carrying my things?!?! Obviously, this was my first time attempting to use movers. I learned A LOT. Even though the majority of it should have been common sense in the first place (why is my face turning red again?!). I am NEVER moving again (ever heard that one before?). read more

It is Highly Unlikely that i would hire Anyone without first scouring the internet for their Review. But things got hectic and before I knew it my moving date was upon me! So I called the number on this card that I picked up who knows where and had been carrying in my wallet for months. Honestly- had i gotten around to reading the previous reviews i would have NEVER contacted this moving company. However as it turns out they were True to their name- so a Heartfelt Thank You to Cherry, CJ and Bernard for coming to my rescue during my moving ordeal. Yes we experienced some delays but they went above and beyond to make up for it. They did the job Right and in my book- THAT is what Counts! Beware of price changing scam! I spoke to Cherry 8 days before the move date. She quoted $250. The day before the move, I called and spoke to Cherry to confirm the arrival time. She said she had been looking at an old price list when she quoted the price and it would actually be $325. I pushed back and she kept saying I didn't sign a contract so she could change the price. I pointed out that I did not sign a contract because she never mentioned a contract. I cancelled the move and found another company as I refused to be part of this scam. I was not concerned about $75 but I will not do business with this type of unethical company. read more

I hired this mover to move my stuff in Feb 2016. When we moved everything from old house to the new one, while unpacking stuff, they broke my dining table leg and told they don't have a clue how it got broken. They broke my son's bed set also and told its not made of real wood so it got broken:-/ Never hire these people as they cheat and make false promises. The guy told me he'll get the dining table leg repaired or replaced within 2 to 3 weeks and its been 6 weeks now they don't even pick my call when I try to reach them. I got this move's reference from a good friend so trusted and hired them to my horror. I guess my friend was lucky nothing got broken or damaged when he moved. Go with a well know name in the moving industry even if you have to spend a little more but don't go with such pricks such as 'Caring Heart Movers'. I agree with Cory F., there should be less than 1 star ratings. Caring Heart Movers made my move extemely stressfull. When I called them for a quote, I asked for references. They told me that they did business with Big Lots and I called the two locations that they gave me. Both furniture managers recommended them so I decided to go with them. Our appointment time was Saturday at 10 am. On the day of the move, they called me after 9 am and said that the truck was not working. They said that they could come with a smaller truck but they would have to make more than one trips and they would give me a flat rate rather than the hourly rate. I, foolishly, agreed to that. They didn't arrive until after 12 noon...with a cargo van. After 4 trips, at approx 9:30 pm, I told them to just take the beds because that was it for me, I was exhausted. I asked if they could come back on Sunday, but they said no, the office was closed. We arranged to finish the move on Monday at 7pm. On Monday, I waited until approx 7:40 then called them, and they said, "When we are finished up here, we will be there." Approx an hour later, they called and said they would be there in an hour. I told them to forget it, I had already left. The following day, I called them to arrange for Sunday at 10 am as I would not be available until then and they agreed. I called to confirm on Friday, and was told yes, they would be there. Sunday at 9:45 they called me and said they couldn't make it because of the ice on the roads. As you can imagine, I was LIVID! Long story short, I finally completed my move 1 1/2 weeks after the scheduled date. I would NEVER, EVER, EVER, recommed them to my worst enemy. read more

I will admit that I used Caring Heart Movers twice before with no issues, which is what makes writing this review is so disappointing. I was moving the last few things out of my parents home and there were two plants my husband wanted. my elderly mother, as a gift, agreed to ship the plants from Marietta, GA to his office in Fairfax, VA. We paid Cherry Bush $60, plus a generous tip to do the shipping, plus $387.86 for UPS to ship the plants. I gave Cherry all of the information necessary. She did not put down my husband's business name or telephone number, nor did she write down his name correctly. Thus, the plants were undeliverable, so they were shipped back to GA. After following up, we figured out that the shipping label did not have the proper information. UPS would not re-ship the plants unless we paid again (they did offer a 20% discount). I reached out to Cherry and asked that she re-ship the plants since this was her mistake. I even volunteered to help with shipping costs if it was too pricey. I have not heard back from her since. I am a firm believer that if you make a mistake, you correct it. And you definitely don't take someone's money - and ride off into the sunset - if you have not provided the service agreed upon. Obviously, this is not the philosophy of Caring Heart Movers. I will not be using them again, and recommend others don't either. I also filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau. read more

Agree with another post that I wish I could give less than 1 star!!! Arrived 6 hours late and then expected not only full payment, but extra payment to remove mattress and packaging. Would not recommend to an enemy, much less, a friend. Hurried thru the house to load and unload, said maybe a few words, and then they were off. Big Lots contracted these folks for delivery....when I'm done I'm sure they'll want to find a reputable and dependable business to fulfill their orders from now on!!!! read more

I have never written a review before, but if I can save anyone from a bad experiece with Caring Heart Movers, I will. I had a 10x10 storage unit to move to another state. They told me there was no problem with my time frame, as my job started soon. The day of moving they wanted an extra $1,000 because I supposedly had so much stuff, and they would need 2 of their small trucks for the move. And they couldn't do it that day, so I would then be late for my new job. I asked for my depisit back and they said fine. I called them for the next month. They never took my calls, and never gave me my deposit back. When I spoke to a Mover's Help company, they told me they weren't legally supposed to drive cross state lines. Any positive reviews about this company have been written by the owners. read more

i wish i could give less than 1 star. showed up an hour late. very unprofessional. broke my bicycle left it on the curb. a man and a women moved very very slow and we had to end up carrying things up the stairs to make up for the time since they arrived late. do not use this company, I really regretted it. esp for the price. this was last year but this review was long overdue people should be informed about this company. read more

I'm not going to type in all caps or try to exaggerate what happened. The simple truth is they damaged a wall to my brand new apartment last year. The movers hid the damage by covering it with with my mattress. I discovered it later that same day and called several times and sent e-mails. They finally responded, asked me to send pictures, then refused to pay for the damage, claiming I'd waited too long to contact despite the phone records and e-mails showing otherwise. I filed a complaint with the BBB, which I'm sure most people don't, and the BBB found in my favor and lowered their score to a 'B-' after the owner refused to respond to my hard proof that he'd damaged my wall and I'd contacted him the day of the damage and nearly every other day afterward. They did also quote me for a certain price on the phone, then charge me a completely different price when they showed up and I pretty much had to pay because I needed to move my stuff. Don't use them, they'll cheat you. read more
