Our server, Kim, was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She promptly served me my hot coffee. It was mild and HOT! Just as I love it. My husband ordered OJ. It was super fresh - - yes, I tasted it - - and delicious. I ordered the Barbacoa Chilaquiles Breakfast Bowl. It is a VERY generous serving. I brought over half of it home! Delightfully plated, it was brimming with flavors. Delicious. My husband, the lover of all things "hash" ordered the Farmhouse Hash. I'll be ordering that the next time - - we shall return! - - it looked amazing. Others at the table? Son ordered French Toast, grandson #1 ordered blueberry pancakes (he shared a bite. STUPENDOUS! Large, plump FRESH blueberries in two HUGE pancakes) a side of biscuits and gravy AND a side of bacon. He's a growing boy!! His younger brother chose the Power Wrap. The fussiest eater in the group, he proclaimed it DELICIOUS!! (No mushrooms please. I told you he is fussy.) The DIL chose The Traditional breakfast and it did not disappoint. The serving dishes and utensils are first rate. The settings are lovely and the atmosphere is relaxing and COMFORTING. Until next time.....looking forward to another grand experience at this first rate place.

After several visits over the years, I've only had their coffee and pastries, not their cafe food. The interior is cute and there's often a queue upon entering to order at the counter, but don't let that intimidate you because it moves fast. I recommend getting some of their water on tap (both still and sparkling water are available) if you have to wait! If you're queer like me, you'll likely be drinking a cold black coffee and they have options! They have a regular cold brew in 3 sizes, a cold brew of the moment / seasonal (ask about it!) and a cold brew shandy for something different. My partner and I got two different cold brews on tap today, the original and the Seasonal Single Origin Honduran one. The single origin Honduran was better, but their original was good too. There's a lot of seating, but it's usually taken up, so I tend to just take my coffee to go. Expect to walk out for around $6ish a cup. They clearly care about providing you a good experience with a strong cup of coffee. Give them a shot if you're in downtown Overland Park!

A father and daughter duo next to me showed up in a dandy double breasted suit and a princess dress. I wish the food was as good as the vibe. The coffee, while decent, was lukewarm and the scone I got was stale and dry, coming close to inedible. This, at a cost of nearly $11 after tax. It's near terrible food definitely doesn't stop people from coming in, again, you are in one of the nicest areas of downtown OP and have limited coffee competition, so I guess food quality isn't your number one concern.

We were welcomed with a brief overview of the company and treated to a sparkling matcha limeade on the patio. Following this we were treated to a fantastic sandwich and beverage pairing. The diced chicken was marinated in Coca Cola and cold brew then served on toasted fresh made bread with house made bbq sauce and veggies. Then paired with a cold brew mixed with Coca-Cola and topped with a cherry-vanilla cold top. Phenomenal. Just as incredible was the bakery case. After a tough decision making process, I took home a cookie, Lemon Goat Cheesecake, and blueberry pop-tart. The cheesecake and poptart were best I've ever had in each category and the cookie that I didn't even get a taste of, was declared "the best damn cookie I've ever had" by my wife. Two days later she is still talking about it. With the welcoming and friendly owner and staff, the creative and top tier products, and a cool environment; I'm all in for frequent trips from the Northland to Brookside for further exploration.

The biscuit sandwich was oozing with cheese and sauce so I ended up cutting into it with a fork and knife. The pear compote had an apple pie filling vibe to it, which was almost too sweet for me even though it went well with the salty smoked ham. The nutty bitterness from the fontina added a little bit too much contrast for me. This would be a good choice for people who like sweet and salty things. Overall, each component was tasty, but this particular sandwich wasn't exactly my preferred taste! The oat milk latte was good! Nice and foamy with a good amount of bitterness from the espresso. I was curious about their huge pastry case and would love to try those in the future.
