My husband got the TRINI sampler and I got the all inclusive sampler-I also shared my meal with our 2 year old daughter and she loved it all! The doubles were perfect, the pholourie was so yummy-fried to perfection and the curry chicken was flavorful without a kick as was the stew chicken. Everything was wow! I absolutely love the Sorrel (Hibiscus drink). It's beautifully spiced and refreshing. You order at the counter when you arrive. The owners are passionate about the food and they warmly welcomed me. I usually get the curry chicken but decided to try the oxtail this time. It was so tender and flavorful, I wish I got the bigger size. My boyfriend always get the jerk chicken and he loves that too. It's got a little kick but not terribly spicy. I usually get their Mac and cheese too, it's sooo creamy and cheesy and delicious, but they were out this time, so go earlier if you want it. I'm always happy to grab some take out here, and it's pretty small inside so you probably don't want to dine in.

Tonight I got a plate of the brown stew chicken. Started with the rice and beans - those had good flavor and seasoning. The chicken was juicy and well-infused with the gravy sauce. Little bit of spice, little bit of sweet, just very amazing. Portion was plentiful. The gentleman operating the food truck was down to earth and friendly. I lived what I got and would be thrilled to get over to their other locations sometime, but in the meantime, happy if they can bring the truck my way again!

Chicken on a stick was not available because she would need to make and sell it in large amounts. I ordered four servings of foods, and after several minutes, the owner gave them to me. I rate the meat samosas as 5 stars, and I am happy that the owner convinced me to order two servings. I rate the sweet plantains as 5 stars, and I want to point out that the serving size is enough for multiple people. I rate the wakanda braised beef with vegetables and rice as 4 stars. It tasted good but could use a bit more flavor. My husband had no interest in ordering any foods, but I really enjoyed eating my foods. I might never travel to Tanzania, so I am happy that my tastebuds got to go. :)

I noticed this spot on Google Maps because the idea of Trinidadian vegan fare appealed to me after gorging at Primanti Bros. the day before. It was a cute, bright space and fortunately not crowded. The menu looked tempting with unique dishes like Buss Up Shut (pull-apart bread with fillings) and Coconut Bake (traditional Trini bread). I decided to order the $15 Bowl of Coconut Rice with the choice of three toppings and a sauce. I went with okra, pumpkin, and stir-fried mushrooms.with a side of mango chutney (Photo 9). It was a delightfully housemade melange of Caribbean-style flavors. I've had similar West Indian food before, and this was definitely one of the fresher executions. Although intrigued by the Tamarind Ginger Drink, I decided to order the $4 Iced Coffee to wet my whistle (Photo 6). This led to my quick indulgence of the $3 Key Lime Cookie (Photo 8).
