I have been a customer of Jam Jerk multiple times for about one year. Through the Market Wagon website, I ordered a Sorrel BBQ Jerk Pork dinner and a Jamaican beef patty. I really enjoyed the flavors of the jerk pork, beef patty (ground beef and spices inside a flaky crust), plantains, and salad. I thought that the rice with beans and the cocoa bread tasted OK. Most recently, I ordered a Curry Chicken Bowl, which contained Caribbean curry chicken, rice, plantains, potatoes, and salad with dressing; and a Jerk Shrimp Bowl, which contained shrimp, rice, plantains, kale salad, and jerk sauce. All of the ingredients were very fresh, and I very much enjoyed their flavors.

It was so easy to schedule this service and there were meal options for everybody (including even our gluten free/vegan attendees). It can be really scary to order catering, especially when you're a few states away. However, processing payment was simple and direct and communication was outstanding. Everybody who attended raved about the food and drinks (which came in awesome reusable bottles). The food was delivered hot and on time. I cannot recommend Jam Jerk enough and if we find ourselves doing more work in Pittsburgh, we will absolutely be ordering catering from them again!

The employee working was so kind and offered recommendations that were delicious. The price point for the quality and quantity of food is really great. I tried several items, including the brown stew chicken, rice and peas, cabbage, and the beef patties. The brown stew chicken was delicious. I got it in the large size and it was indeed quite large. The chicken is seasoned well but not too spicy. It's tender, and although I tend not to like dark meat, I really enjoyed it from this place. They served it with potatoes, which were nicely cooked, and carrots, which went really well with the sauce. You get 2 sides with your meal so I choose the rice with peas and the cabbage. The cabbage was very flavorful and just tasted homey. Several other vegetables mixed in too. They gave me a ton of rice and peas, which is great because I thought it was delicious. Soft rice, especially with the chicken, just mixed perfectly. Delicious, delicious, delicious. The beef patties were also very tasty. The inside is in a way almost creamy. It's filled with juicy meat, and the outside stayed nice and crisp. Very nice. All in all, definitely a great place. One of the better Caribbean spots in Pittsburgh for sure. I'd order delivery from them again (I think they are delivery only).

I usually get the curry chicken but decided to try the oxtail this time. It was so tender and flavorful, I wish I got the bigger size. My boyfriend always get the jerk chicken and he loves that too. Tonight I got a plate of the brown stew chicken. Started with the rice and beans - those had good flavor and seasoning. The chicken was juicy and well-infused with the gravy sauce. I lived what I got and would be thrilled to get over to their other locations sometime, but in the meantime, happy if they can bring the truck my way again!

The food was fantastic. Jerk chicken had a little spice but was not overpowering. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. The curry and jerk chicken meals had to weigh about 3lbs each. Curry chicken came with white rice and cabbage. I chose rice and beans with the jerk chicken, which also came with cabbage. There was plenty of curry seasoning to flavor the white rice. Fast forward a year or so and much to my joy they announced via social media that they had stopped cooking out of their home and started a food truck! One day I saw that they would be on Larimer Avenue in the Larimer section of the city so I made my way there expeditiously as T.I. would say. LOL! I already knew that I was going to go with their Curry shrimp with cabbage and rice & peas! I also got a Tropical Rhythms Island Mango drink to wash it all down. A few minutes later I had my food and made my way home. You guessed it, expeditiously! LOL! As soon as I started to dig in I was taken back as I hadn't had Jamaican food this good since Mama Rose on nearby Mayflower Street in the late 90's! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and full of flavor! The cabbage was tender and the rice and peas were delicious as well! My food was so good that I told my wife about it and ended up going back the same day to get us their Jerk chicken for dinner. Unfortunately it was near the end of the night and they had ran out of cabbage, but gave us extra chicken which more than made up for not having anymore cabbage. The jerk chicken was absolutely incredible! Very authentic and just as delicious! Be sure to follow them on Instagram @caribbeanvybzllc to see where they will be next!
