If you are looking for standout flavors and textures, Caribbean Delights is definitely a place to try! The jerk chicken is full of flavor with a crispy outside and tender inside. Paired with the sweet mashed potato's, an absolute MUST to add to your meal, it's a sweet savory bite of the Caribbean. The sweet potatoes are more dense than traditional potatoes, but very creamy. When it comes to the sides, the beans and rice is cooked perfectly and has a subtle yet satisfying amount of seasoning, and the plantains are dreamy with a golden caramelized exterior - truly natures candy. Veggies are a great texture pairing with the meats and rice, as they are crisp and yet warm with spices. The service was not the fastest, but to no fault of the quality of assistance in making the order. They are simply a small business who is often short staffed, be patient. This is hands down the best Caribbean food in Omaha.

Tho, The spice wasn't there .. the rice and beans were bland... you can taste the herbs but no salt no seasoning fr... the beef patties where yummy & flaky. Yesssss. Sum light coming from Nebraska but I'd give it 7.2.
I'm new in town & the oxtails were hitting. Perfect rice & beans with the cabbage growing on me! Decent amount of oxtails for $25 and the service was quick, patient, and understanding. Ample indoor seating with a nice ambiance and store to buy authentic goods. The words that come to mind after trying the Caribbean Delights restaurant are home-cooked, delicious eats. Caribbean Delights is a small mom-and-shop-style restaurant that brings the tastes of Jamaica right to Omaha. I've never been to Jamaica, but a friend who is from there also confirmed its authenticity. We ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken, the curried chicken, and the fried plantains. Service was slow, but only because everything was made to order. I tried and failed, to capture the steam coming off the food. The chicken in both meals was so tender, it came right off the bone. The Jamaican jerk chicken was more on the spicy side while maintaining a great deal of flavor. The curried chicken is an excellent choice for anyone who doesn't care for spicy food but still wants all the flavors. The fried plantains were pure perfection, reminding me of the ones my mom would make or those we used to get after school in Togo.
I love me some curry goat and this place has some of the best I've ever tasted - very authentic. Bone on for that extra flavor, spiced to perfection, and stewed until the meat easily slides off the bone. Friendly service behind the counter. You get the feeling these guys will always bring you food cooked with love. If you're looking for a fancy place, this ain't it. It's clean nonetheless. Come for the food and the love and nothing else.

We were in town looking for something good. Based off the reviews we thought we'd give this place a try. Our experience was disappointing by far. The person working didn't greet us or even thank us for ordering. I'm not fact the only thing he said was "are you eating here?". Ok no big deal, but the food portion was small. I got 5 wings for almost $14. And my husband got jerk chicken. He said the flavor was there, but is convinced they used a frozen chicken breast and cut that in half. I'm glad everyone else enjoyed it, but coming from a bigger city with lots of Jamaican restaurants. We would recommend passing on this one.
Food was delicious but the serving size is a little stingy, but great atmosphere and nice community feeling.
Came for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the food. The first thing you see when you walk in is a fairly large Rasta merchandise area, then the rest of the restaurant. So if you happen to need Rasta gear, this is your place. We got there jerk beef ribs, chicken curry and of course jerk chicken. Each entree comes with a side as well. The flavors were good overall, but not mind-blowing. They seemed to be tamed down, and I'm not sure if that's how it normally is, or if they did that because we didn't look like we could take the full flavor. Either way, if the flavors were turned up, this would have been 5 stars. The beef ribs were tender, as was the chicken. Out of the dishes we got, the curry had the best flavor. Also my favorite side was the fried plantains. The shop is in a random strip mall which you would probably drive by without a second glance on a normal day, but you should make a stop in here to try the food.

The meat was tender, well seasoned-not spicy and juicy and there was a good amount of it, even after working around the bones. The rice was very flavorful and with some beans and cabbage sprinkled in, I was more than satisfied. The wait might have felt a little long but from what I could tell, it was a one man show, who had several takeout customers and a few delivery orders in addition to mine and my 2 colleagues. By the way they ooohed and aaaahed over their jerk chicken and curry chicken. In addition to the food there were a number of Jamaican artifacts, clothing, seasonings and rubs hung around or for purchase. Very pleasing experience.

The chicken hand pies were ridiculous! I didn't expect it...all good food but I was so surprised it was my favorite part. Almost like a thick chicken curry with slight spice in a warm flaky crust. Paired really well with the cold Red Stripe. The Brown and Jerk chicken was tender and well spiced; we selected plantains and a bread for our included side--both soaked up the delicious sauces great. Dishes were ~$15 each. I'm guessing they do a lot of to-gos but eat-in is an option. Walk in, order at counter, grab a table, meals come in containers, and you clear when you're done. They offer some items and spices in a small shop to the side of the dining area too. read more

You have to stop in and try the jerk and jerk BBQ chicken! The price and portions are great and they are so friendly. The lemonade was not amazing but worth a try. read more

Who would have thought the best Jamaican food in the country would be right in Omaha Nebraska. I came in town for a quick business trip and was looking for some delicious food. I stumbled across this place on yelp and the food looked pretty good. I came in the unassuming place not thinking much based on the decor, but that is typically how Jamaican restaurants are. I ordered the curry goat, rum punch, And a beef patty. The patty was Chrissy flaky and delicious just how I like it. But that curry goat my goodness. So much flavor later top that rice and cabbage I am mediately took a picture and sent to all of my friends who were instantaneously jealous. Come here and get the curry goat! He will not be disappointed! read more

I had the opportunity to have dinner here while visiting Omaha. I had the brown stew chicken. It was my first time having it. It was good. The food was fresh, seasoned well and served hot. The dining room restaurant is your typical carry out but have seating available facilities. I also a rum punch which was very good. On the opposite side of the small restaurant, they sold seasonings, jerk sauces, t-shirts and other Jamaican memorabilia. It was a cool touch especially if you wanted to buy some seasonings or sauces that was likely used to prepare the meal you were purchasing. I definitely recommend it and looking forward to visiting again next time I'm in town. read more
Met up with a classmate for dinner and we thought this would be a good place to try out since we've both never been here before. When I walked in to my left I saw that they had a case filled with Jamaican flags and jewelry and a shelf with different kinds of spices, sauces, and t-shirts representing Rasta pride. I love the sign that they had in the back of the room that showed Jamaican words and lingo. As we sat down I looked at the menu and they had an array of jerk and curry items and also other types of Jamaican food that I've never heard of. I love the variety, they all seemed delicious. I heard a customer that was sitting say that she liked the curried chicken so I decided to try that out because who doesn't like curry chicken. Once the food came out, I had to take a photo of it haha You can definitely taste the spices in the chicken and the rice was just simply delicious. The plate also had a mini salad which complimented the meal. I wish I would have ordered a fried plantain but there was enough food to take home. My overall experience here was pretty great, will be coming back to try some of their other food options! read more

This is the place to go for flavor!! We went to Carribean Delight tonight and it was wonderful. Every bite was so flavorful! We had the ackee and salt cod fish which is the national dish of Jamica. We also tried the curry chicken and jerk chicken. Each was so so good. They are all served with veggies and another side. We tried plantains, rice and beans and a sweet fried bread called festival. We definitely have a new place that we will be going back to frequently! read more

I ordered the jerk wings and three beef patties. I was blown away with the flavor of the wings. The wings are a must for any order. My first bite of the beef patty and I was in love. I could tell this food was cooked with love and expertise. I will definitely go back and recommend to any seeking authentic Caribbean food. read more
Tucked away in a regular ol' shopping strip is this unique restaurant. I ate here with a couple coworkers. We all ordered different dishes. I can comment primarily on mine, an order of Jerk Chicken. I really like my plate, everything was seasoned sufficiently and, while I admittedly have nothing to compare it to, the Jerk Chicken was tasty. The lady up front (I assume she's the owner?) was friendly and answered our questions about the food. It's a very small restaurant and shares space with the pictured reggae memorabilia and other goods counter, so be prepared to sit tight or take out. Either way, while the food didn't necessarily make me ask, "...could this be love?," I like the place enough that I plan to come again to sample additional fare. read more
