The cashier was under pressure from some other clients being pushy after he politely told them they were out of certain things like veggie Pattie's and plantain so I give him extra kudos for keeping calm/being professional! We took a chance and it was worth it - the food arrived hot and the portions were generous. The oxtail phenomenal. It was tender, savory and well seasoned - the plantains were just ripe and fried correctly with no excess oil. The curry chicken was delicious, medium spice, right amount of heat - juicy chicken and plenty of gravy. I ordered through uber eats and the portion was good. the oxtail gravy was really thick and sort of sweet (did not like) and the rice was not that good. i feel like a basmati rice or jasmine rice is better. the cabbage was not seasoned but the gravy made up for it. i did not like the consistency of the oxtail or the slight sweet tint. also, a lot of fat was on the meat, not a lot of actual meat. 3 stars because i was starving and i could hold it down but i probably wouldn't order oxtail from here again. will try a different dish though. read more
