The paperwork was quick and efficient, they accepted my "no thank you" on the extended warranty and didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need.

CarMax Misrepresented the Vehicle and Refused Accountability…read more UPDATE - 10/3/25: A representative from corporate reached out and after conflicting information and excuses from what I was told by the dealership they are still unwilling to take any accountability or make any offer of compensation. --- I purchased a car from CarMax after their employees explicitly told me it had no accident history. That statement was false and misleading. When I went to sell the car, I discovered that the DMV had recorded an accident on the vehicle a full year before I bought it. This misrepresentation cost me a $3,000 in lost value, verified by an auto broker who showed me recent comparable sales of nearly identical vehicles. When I raised this issue with CarMax, they refused to accept any responsibility or compensate me for any of the loss in value. CarMax heavily markets "peace of mind" and "transparency," but my experience shows those claims are hollow. If their employees can misrepresent a car's history and the company refuses to make it right, then buyers cannot trust the accuracy of anything they're told. Furthermore, do not rely on the CarMax vehicle inspection to uncover previous damage that would have been discoverable by a competent mechanic. Be certain to complete an independent pre-purchase inspection using a competent mechanic. CarMax misrepresented the vehicle I purchased, and their refusal to stand behind their word shows a lack of integrity. Buyers beware--you could be left with a car worth thousands less than you were led to believe.

It's been a month since we purchased an SUV from this location and we absolutely love our purchase…read more From scheduling our appointment, to a very short and brief period of paperwork, we walked off the lot with our new baby on four wheels! We have already traveled near and far with our new vehicle and got a follow up call from Mason, our customer service rep. Nick, and his team polished our car and also made our interaction quick and easy. We did have to drive another location to complete paperwork, however, the distance was only 4 mins away.

I bought two vehicles from this dealership in 2020 everything was great! Except for the cars. They…read moreoffer a two month 2,000 mile warranty which is great! And you would think for a dealership with a service dept on site they would diagnose and correct all of the problems before they sell the vehicles, but they don't. They either patch them up and hope you don't notice for two months or I have the worst luck in the world. The vehicle I bought myself ended up being in the shop for at least a month after I discovered it's issue. Thank God I found it a week before my warranty was up or I would have been on the hook for the $5,000 it cost to fix the problem. But it didn't come without a fight. It took the dealership two attempts to fix the vehicle. The first time they fixed the wrong thing, and when I told them I was still having the same issue they told me they weren't going to fix it. We eventually got on the same page and they took my vehicle for another two weeks and finally repaired it. For that I'm grateful. But now the vehicle I bought my grandmother had the check engine light come on. Mechanic comes out to give it a tune up and finds the spark plugs are covered in oil. Boom! It needs a new valve seals. My mechanic says "it looks like it's been this way for quite some time". I bought the car less than a year ago. Unfortunately the warranty has expired on this vehicle. So I'm on the hook for this one. I'm not saying don't buy a vehicle from this dealership. But I am telling you to take your car to a mechanic as soon as you drive it off of the lot to find any issues before your warranty expires. Because from my experience it doesn't seem to me like their service department has their customers best interests at heart.

It's a no haggle car buying experience and we tend to like that better. The price we paid was reasonable, not dirt cheap but not high. The vehicle we purchased had extra-low miles and was in very good condition. The 3 stars given here are because of the positive nature of that part of our experience. Everything after the sale has been awful. There was one thing that needed to be repaired and they agreed to repair it as part of the sale but said they couldn't do it that day. Turns out they couldn't do for a month! Curious that their service department is that backed up. It was the hazard lights. The switch was either bad or disconnected and we were leaving the state on a road trip, so waiting a month wasn't an option. They decided to get a local Chevy dealership to do it because the vehicle still has full manufacturers warranty. That still had us waiting weeks and having to do it at a time that didn't really work for us. I picked up the phone and called the Chevy dealership a few blocks away from ClearShift and they were able to take us the next day. So we wound up dealing with that ourselves and are still not clear on why we could find next day service and they couldn't. Now it is 5 days until our dealer plate expires and we have not received anything to take to DMV to register and plate. Called the DMV; they have no record of a title application and told us to go back to the dealership, get a new dealer plate, and get a clear picture of why they haven't done this and when they plan to do it. Have called ClearShift more than once, before and after calling the DMV. Can't get a human in that department and nobody returns my calls. Tried texting; so far no response. I would have loved to give them 5 stars. The GM (or owner?) of the dealership was really nice to us, and very accommodating. We were impressed. The salesperson was nice and we didn't have any issues with her. We love the vehicle we purchased. They had good resources for financing. 5 stars was theirs to lose and they're busy losing it. It feels like now that they cannot make any more money off of us, we aren't important. Seems short-sighted. I still (cautiously) recommend them if the right vehicle is there for you. That's the only reason we went there--they had a hard to find truck we really wanted and it was exactly what we'd been seeking and were struggling to find. We truly love it and are not sorry we bought it. We are really frustrated with the very poor after purchase service.

I seen my car on EBay at 1:47am while I was scrolling every Impala page imaginable and I seen this one. It's all white with red interior. At 9:01 a.m. I called Cars remember when , Rob answered, I told him I want this car, I am going to buy it and he said okay you are the first person to actually say that, so it is your car. I asked to put a deposit down to secure the vehicle, of course he said yes and I was on a plane within hours. When we arrived at Cars Remember when I was amazed by all the cars. It is like an automobile museum and you can actually buy the cars, there is literally something for everyone. You can buy grandmas car that she picked up groceries in for 40 years and only put 20k miles on it or you can buy something from the 30's or you can get a fastback or even a GTO. I believe we where greeted by the entire staff throughout the time we were there. It's like they made it a point to make us feel welcomed and just genuinely meet us and chat. We met the owner and everyone in between, to me that shows great leadership and family atmosphere. We are impressed. Rob is attentive, polite, friendly, an overall great guy. He even figured out my girlfriends nickname by her email "Mada". Now he doesn't pronounce it correctly but that's okay. So this place we can't say enough about but if your looking for an entire experience when you buy a car you've been searching for this is definitely the place. You're not just a number here you're part of the nostalgic automobile family. We will be coming back here I'm sure I seen a couple other rides we liked. Mada want's Grandma's Merc.
