I thought the therapist had really good technique but the overwhelmingly loud music (something called tribal beat) made really relaxing very difficult, and that was without my hearing aids. People were all professional, friendly and very nice. I guess my issue was mostly a cost/value issue. I thought the prices were really high. Both of our treatments were holiday gifts. In the past, I have just walked in and hoped there was an appointment slot open. I usually had to wait 10-15 minutes which is no big deal because you can browse around until they are ready for you. If you aren't wanting to wait, it's best to call ahead and get your name in. Today Mercedes took care of me. She was friendly and started out by asking some questions about my skin. She then proceeded to wax my eyebrows (which were totally out-of-control). The wax was a perfect temperature and it was one of the more painless waxes I have had. At the end of it, she asked if I wanted her to cover the redness with concealer and fill in brows. It looked really natural when she was done. There's nothing worse than feeling like one of those brows-on-fleek Instagram girls who have overdrawn, overstated eyebrows. Payment was easy. You take your ticket to the counter. They will ask you if you would like to add a non-cash tip and you are on your way. I was in and out in 15 minutes. Thanks Mercedes and Benefit Brow Bar, I'll be back the next time I can't handle my eyebrows with just a tweezer.

I never realized there were several businesses inside the business right next to Sprouts. I always…read morethought "Sola" was a salon but there are actually many businesses inside-- Humble Bee Sugaring Studios is one of those businesses. I am in my third trimester of pregnancy and had a great experience with Brea. I had expressed that I was I was feeling a bit self-conscious and anxious and Brea helped me feel less so with her calm and professional manner. (Side note, she likes to read so I found talking about books with her to be a great way to distract myself). It sounded like Brea had waxed a number of pregnant ladies already in her waxing career so that was reassuring. I thought she did a phenomenal job. I swear it wasn't as painful as waxing for me in the past had been and I was really happy with the results. I had forgotten my jacket but the company even texted me so I could return and get it. Excellent service all around. I also really liked the studio. It was clean inside and there were a lot of cute signs and things to look at that fit with the bee theme. I do wish they could have decorated the ceiling somehow as that was mainly my view during the service-- perhaps a dangling bee garland would be cute? I will say I wish they had an extra curtain or partition of some sort (what are those called, a Japanese room divider?). You enter through a door and then they pull the curtain closed to cover the door. Maybe they could put one more curtain perpendicular to that one at the foot of the bed just to give a little bit more sense of peace of mind regarding privacy. Overall, I'd highly recommend getting sugar waxing done here. It's a very nice and clean place.
