If you do plan on coming here I'd highly suggest renting out the private tubs instead so you don't have to deal with everyone else and get the ick like I did. They have different rooms inspired by the chakras, so you can reserve your own private room and simply soak, relax, and disconnect for a while. They also have an outdoor soaking area that you can reserve with friends, bring your own food, and spend an hour or two relaxing together (no alcohol). There are also many different treatments and packages, so you can choose how much--or how little--you want to do. I tried the roller table, where you lie down for about 30 minutes while a gentle roller moves along your body. Very simple, but incredibly relaxing. I also did the chakra light experience, which combines the lights with music aligned with the different chakra vibrations. I became so relaxed listening to the music that I almost fell asleep! And then there was my massage with Camille. Her touch was absolutely magical and restorative. I left feeling deeply relaxed and recharged. They also offer an infrared sauna and several other treatments, and you can combine different experiences into packages depending on what you enjoy and how much time you want to spend there. There were some weird things happening in our unit during our stay. The fire alarm went off at 4:20 am one of the mornings- completely woke us up from a dead sleep. We didn't see people evacuating or hear any announcements. Apparently it wasn't the whole building/ not sure exactly what happened. We talked with some ladies in the hot springs who were a floor above us- they never hear the alarm. The jacuzzi in our room wouldn't turn on jets when I tried it. This was during a thunderstorm-so the hot springs were out of the question. The front desk was caring and offered to send maintenance- but I had already added my essential oils and soak mixture- so I just needed to soak at that point. I'm sure they have resolved these issues after we checked out. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the room- as well as the large deck for sunrise, sunset, and watching the stars and clouds. Plenty of parking in the lot The hot springs were cleaner in the mornings- so not sure if that happens 1x a day, We went in the first night- but lots of debris in the tubs Cleaner next morning. We also had red about different temperatures on the different hot spring pools/ did not find a difference in temperature Also, the jets are not turned on for the hot springs. Apparently this happened years ago. There is a morning water aerobics class Monday and Wednesday at 8. This seems to be popular. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant on the property the first night. We had to sit in the bar area due to a large party booking the whole dining room- this was one of the best meals we had while in the area- just wish they were open more days. They are closed Monday and Tuesday. Easy checkout- we were able to do it from our phone and leave our wristbands in the room

However, the last three times there has been a terrible and law breaking issue. I am in a wheelchair and need the pool chair lifts to access hot springs and pools. Three times these have not been working. The first time they were not fixed at all and ultimately were replaced. I could not use any of the pools. The last time, just last week, none were working again. Day one I was asked to wait, in the sun while batteries were found. An hour and a half later I was a mess but they got the pool lift working, but not the hot spring one. The ride in a wheelchair from Building A or B is scary and dangerous as the pavements everywhere are rough and have pot holes , Insurmountable curbs and rocks. And mud. ADA compliance is way off! I have not filed a formal complaint as yet, but will the next time. The fine is $75000 for the first violation and the pools will be closed to everyone until they are in compliance. I have told the manager about all this as well as how dangerous moving around the campus is when wheelchair bound. Guess they are waiting for an injury to happen before they do needed repairs to the sidewalks and curb cut outs. The curb cut out for access to the check in and office in Building B is too step and canted so much that it can easily cause a user to tip over. So far I have found people parking in front of it so there is no access, even though it is marked well by blue paint. A wheelchair user has to go around the building to another cut out quite far from the office. The office doors are manual only, opening out. Possible, but very difficult to gain access and there are two sets of doors.

There's also a reason Dolce Vita had availability last-minute, when Atlantis and Peppermill didn't. Dolce is simply not worth the price. The amenities are very very average. In the ladies room, there's only a steam room and sauna. The shampoo and conditioner are poor quality too. The men's room (according to my partner) doesn't even have a steam room. I've visited Dolce about three times, and this past weekend will be my list. You can get a much better experience elsewhere, and for less money. The masseuses are good, but the customer service is just ok. Really wish they'd be more upfront about add-ons, and really wish they'd step up their amenities because the location has potential.

I've seen cedar baths before on Instagram, and I had to try it out for myself when we visited Tahoe. He did an amazing job explaining to us the health benefits of the cedar, helping us get situated, and pouring us a cup of Super Ohtaka (a Japanese beverage consisting of 50 fermented vegetables) at the end of the session. The cedar bath itself was comfortable, each session is 25 minutes. I wasn't anticipating getting so messy! It was very fun getting buried in the cedar- the way Tim explained it was like getting covered in a warm weighted blanket. It's a similar experience to a sauna, I was surprised when he told us that there was no heating in the tub and that the cedar enzymes were keeping the cedar warm! I definitely felt my circulation improving. If you end up overheating, you can create air bubbles with your toes and hands or just stick your arm out to help regulate your internal temperature- which is what I ended up doing. We got out of the tub, brushed off, hopped in the shower, and felt rejuvenated. What a fun novelty experience!

After the session my arm felt 10000% better. It was unbelievable. I had no concerns about cleanliness. Everything was great and after the session you brush off the cedar and then shower. Bring your own swim suit or they'll provide disposable ones along with a robe. Afterwards I was offered an elixir of some sort with digestive health benefits.
