I've been there twice when I couldn't get into my family doctor. Both times they took excellent care of me. Once was for cracked ribs and they could do an X-ray right there while my family doctor could not. I'm sure I would have waited at least an hour or two at my doctor's. No waiting at all when you do the web check in. I'll be going back there from now on. read more

I've had to go to this location a few times over the last few years. The first time there were no issues. In and out with a flu diagnosis. Got my script for Tamiflu and was on my way. However the past 2 times I've been in I've had the same physician to see me which was Dr. Lam. The first time she said she just wasn't able to treat me for what a I had and sent made me go see a specialist. The second time, which was a recent visit, she was seemed very unconcerned, no bedside manner at all, barely made eye contact with me and the only thing she did to examine me was press's twice on my stomach. She never looked at my ears, throat, didn't listen to my chest. Nothing. She left the room and told me one thing and then came back and told me something else. She left again and said she'd be right back but a nurse returned instead with instructions that were not even what the doctor told me. The nurses were very nice and accommodating and seemed to have it more together than Dr. Lam. I've worked in healthcare all of my life and for a very large part of that in a doctor's office. I know how a good doctor when I see one. I only came to Care Now because my doctors office was closed. I went to see my doctor today and was taken care of properly and not made to feel like I was taking up their time because they had something better to do. We all have off days, and she may be a great doctor, but she really needs help on her bedside manner and how she communicates with patients. I will not by choice go back to this location again based off of this experience and honestly feel like my insurance company or I should have to pay for the visit. read more

Are we allowed to give no stars? I have great health insurance with an HRA. I am sick and since I've recently moved I don't yet have a PCP. I have had the same health insurance for a few years so I understand how it works. I was told that after the rest of the $150 of my HRA is exhausted by this visit, all other charges would be expected to come out of my pocket. I have a co-pay. Insurance pays the rest. They said I would have to pay everything outstanding above $150 out of my pocket that day. I told them to cancel my appointment, no other urgent care clinic I have been to has ever operated this way. I turned around and walked out. There is something amiss about this place. My Husband and I tried to decipher what the front desk lady was saying 3 times and she never explained it the same way twice. It's not that we didn't have the money to pay out of our pocket, it was the fact that they are in network and should be filing with our insurance company. I was tired of playing their games, I was extremely ill, and did not have the strength or the patience to contend with their unprofessional practices towards an insured sick person. No thanks! I'll take the old fashioned route and rest, drink plenty of liquids, and wait out my illness rather be swindled by CareNow. read more

Great visit at CareNow! There was a 3-hour wait ahead of me when they called and said they would give me another call me 20 minutes before my arrival time. When I got to the clinic and completed the required paperwork, I only waited 5 minutes before being put into an exam room. Then, just another few minutes to see the doctor. She was very attentive and gave me excellent care during my visit. I will definitely return to this facility. read more

We were unable to find a Primary Care Doctor in 1999, so we started going to Care Now. Although the doctors changed regularly, we felt we received good to great care at a reasonable price. Up to 2016. In 2016, we were both diagnosed with cancer (she found a lump and I followed a different path). As a result of the stress of what was ahead of us, she developed insomnia. When we went into Care Now and they found out she had had cancer surgery, they refused to even see her --and they told us we had to go to the Emergency Room. Such a parcel of rogues. 17 years and they throw my wife to the dogs without even an apology. read more

I had a terrific experience here. I came expecting subpar care as I've experienced in the past with urgent care but when I got there, it felt like my primary doctors office. The staff was extremely nice and helpful and the doctor was knowledgeable and truly concerned. I came down with strep throat and these guys came to my rescue!! The initial call to check location and office hours was very professional and polite given it was at 8:00am sharp Thursday morning. The e-check in feature was absolutely great and a few minutes later we received a call letting us know our insurance had been verified and that we'd be contacted when a room became available. Once I got there the wait was very minimal and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. The rest of the visit went about as text book as you could ask for and they did a great job!! Payment was fast, easy & followed up with asking if I needed a note for work. They even let me take a sticker home with me since I got a shot. This is my new place when I'm sick - hands down!! read more

I came here for a strep test and he took the test about 50 minutes ago. I had already been waiting in the waiting room for 30 minutes before this. I'm still waiting in the patient room. I'm so frustrated! If you can avoid this place, definitely find another location. It's pretty terrible every time I come. read more

I have been to this clinic twice this year. In February, I went with flu symptoms. Test was negative there. Went to my PCP 2 days later because I was dying, and flu test positive. No phone call to check on me by the staff. 2nd visit last week..got there at 8 when they opened. Only one person ahead of me, and I Did not get out of there until 10:30! strep test was positive. Antibiotic and steroid given. One day later I developed a bad cough. I could not sleep at night due to the cough. I called the clinic twice to try to get a cough medicine. It took them over 24 hours to call me back. Still no cough medicine. I just get the feeling that once you leave the door they don't care about you at all. Maybe that's why they call it CareNOW. read more

I brought my seven-year-old daughter to this clinic yesterday early afternoon to be tested for strep after being sent home from school. There were two people in the waiting room when we arrived after calling and being told to come there - that they were not busy whatsoever - and we waited 20 minutes to be seen. Once in the room, tested positive for strep, we waited for the doctor to come back to discharge us - he never returned. Meanwhile, she's running a fever and covered in goosebumps from chills and while we waited for 30 minutes in room before I finally just walked out. The receptionist had our prescription on top and handed it right over to me as we left. I have no idea why we were waiting for that long. My daughter (who has never taken antibiotics and rarely sick so hardly ever takes medicine of any sort) started experiencing itching and vaginal discharge after second dose once last night. This morning the fluid coming out was tinted pink/light brown and heavier than before - dripping out of her. Naturally, I called as soon as they opened and talked to a lovely male nurse who said it sounded like a yeast infection however the coloring made him question that - that he'd put in a note for the dr. and give me a call back within the hour. 3 hours later I called and was put on hold - receptionist read me the note on the chart which was the definition of a yeast infection - which does not match her symptoms and asked if they could have the nurse call me back asap - I politely declined and said i would rather sit on hold if that was okay. After 10 minutes someone else came on the line with a "hello?" I said hello - they said hello again and I asked if this was nurse and said I was on hold. She did not tell me who she was just re-read the note in the file, told me they've been very busy, and that I could bring her back to the clinic to be checked out or to monitor her and give fluids. I told her the note did not answer my question and did not match her symptoms and that the nurse was calling me back to report specifically about the discoloration. I repeated multiple times I just need to know if this is serious or to be expected so I know if I need to bring her back or to ER - or how to move forward. No level of concern whatsoever from this woman was relayed. Bottom line - this was all new territory for me as a mother with one very healthy child and my experience with the office staff was well below par. No one called me back, the staff assistant I spoke to was incredibly dismissive and rude, and we will not be coming back to this facility ever again. I've been there a few times for myself and while I have experienced high wait times, as a mother the care for my child and lack of concern for the situation is so sad and entirely unacceptable. In a time of fear and need for her care, I walked away from that conversation with your employee with no answers and no inclination of anyone finding an answer for me. read more

I have been here a few times when I have been unable to get in to see my primary care physician. I see Dr Roberts, who is fantastic. She has a genuine desire to help her patients and is a good diagnostician. I came here after an emergency when the hospital ER would not help me and she did not disappoint. The staff, however, is another matter. They offer a web check-in option to see patients faster. This is a great idea for a last-minute semi-appointment. Today, I was never called back for my check-in (they say you will receive a call within twenty minutes, I gave it the better part of an hour). When I made it to the office, the billing girl in the green outfit with the glasses and crotchety attitude argued back and forth with me about whether or not she called me and left a message. I wanted to show her the phone as evidence that there were no missed calls or voicemails as she claimed, but realized that would be silly since I could easily have just deleted them from my phone, proving nothing. It was a pointless argument that did not need to occur, and whose "fault" it was was irrelevant at this point. Her error would cost me another couple hours sitting in the waiting room - honestly not such a sacrifice to see the doctor I trust. It was EXTREMELY off-putting, however, to be talked down to and called a liar to my face in front of the entire office. I give this location three stars because I highly respect Dr. Roberts, but the staff needs to be trained in simple courtesy and customer interactions. I would more readily forgive the incident and actions of one employee if it weren't for the fact that nobody else seemed be interested in helping either - too busy dancing and playing around in the back room. read more

All of the Medical staff (Physicians) are very attentive to symptoms being described by me as a patient. They take time to fully examine & ask clarifying questions w/my medical history to get the bigger picture. They don't over prescribe but also make sure you have what you need to get well. The Nursing staff & front desk staff are courteous and efficient! I also love that a movie plays in the exam room while you wait for any lab or X-ray results! I've been a patient t for years & will continue to go to CareNow in Plano at Coit & Springcreek as long as my insurance covers! read more

What an incredible experience! I couldn't sleep at all last night due to my aches and chills so I go online and "checked in" for an appointment at CareNow. By 7:15am (and remember, this is a Saturday morning) they called me to say they could see me at 8. I got there at 8 as the doors were unlocking, walked in, signed a privacy notice and was taken back within ten minutes. The doctor saw me quickly and discussed my symptoms with me. I was without insurance, and they were very cautious to ask before running any tests because of the added expense. I left there with three scripts (steroids, pain meds, and antibiotics) that were all appropriate in my medical opinion (I am an RN after all). And the price was very fair. I have had major lower back problems for several years. I was suffering from extreme spasms and could not get in to see my spine doctor for 3 days. Since I wax in a lot of pain I called CareNow and asked if any of their physicians have the ability to write prescriptions for pain medication. I know the way things are now that doctors are afraid to write scripts. They said yes they could. Great I made the appointment and went in. The female doctor who came in was immediately suspicious. Everything about her attitude, body language, and demeanor indicated that she thought I was just another junkie looking for drugs. First of all CareNow would probably be the last place a junkie would go because I'm sure they have plenty of connections on the black market to get what they need. Second there is a state website that everyone who receives a narcotic prescription is entered into and the doctor can look you up and see if you have had any scripts. Anyway she immediately tells me she can't write pain scripts. This is before she even examined me. After here examining me she realized that I in fact was having spasms. She tells me that the paper work she needs to write scripts for pain meds she didn't bring with her. She asked the male doctor who was also on site but he didn't have his paperwork either. So you have 2 doctors who are both unprepared to do their job. So needless to say going there was a total waste of my time. The following day CareNow calls to see how I am. Really? I told them what took place and the woman on the phone says that it's their company policy that they don't prescribe pain medication. So the day before they said they did. Oh but that was before they got paid by my insurance. Then suddenly they don't. I'll make sure my insurance doesn't issue a penny to them. All doctors please note, just because you have decided to no longer prescribe pain medication doesn't mean there is no longer people in pain. I just hope that this doctor has a tragic accident and is in horrific pain and she gets a doctor just like her who thinks she is doing a good thing by letting her suffer. This place is a bunch of quacks just stealing you and your insurances money. Go to a real doctor and skip this joke of a clinic. read more

I was very impressed start to finish. With no primary physician as things have gone well last 20 years I knew I had bronchitis and/or pneumonia...had them both. Online check-in and waited only a couple minutes...in and out in about an hour and that included a chest x-ray. Prescriptions all called in and picked up any hour later. Went to this CareNow and they diagnosed me correctly but didn't give me the right antibiotics to get better. Of course wanted me to come back when I said I wasn't better so I could pay another deductible. This is ridiculous. All they had to do was call in a stronger antibitotic so I could get better, but they want more money with another co-pay! Don't go if you are really sick. read more

In the evening about a week ago I fell and needed some stitches. Luckily the bleeding stopped and so I came in right when they opened the next morning at 8am and had a very short wait. The doctor took care of the wound and did the suturing. The doctor did a very good job and staff were all very professional and courteous. I came for a checkup the next day for a follow-up and again today to have the sutures removed. Their web checkin process made things very efficient to help reduce the wait time, and I can say that all 3 visits were very smooth and I felt very well taken care of. From my experience, I would highly recommend this Care Now location and the doctors and staff there. If I have another urgent care need I will be sure to go there without hesitation. read more

Horrible experience, staff was rude and unprofessional. Walked in and girl told us there was about an hour wait, and said it all of the sudden got really busy, with 1 person sitting in the lobby waiting. It was due to close in an hour so she told us we could go to another location so we headed that way and it was closed and she didn't even warn us or tell us they close early. So we called back see if we could wait to see the doctor and she says as long as you get here before 10 it's fine. Walk up to the door at 10:01 and the same girl that told us to go to the other location tells us the doctor won't see anyone past 10. Another girl walks up and says sorry the doctors leaving, yes when he is blatantly standing behind the counter.. I thought doctors were supposed to help people.. Anyways if it was so busy they seemed to be closed early since anyone who got in before 10 could apparently see the doctor. They drove us away in the beginning and told us they were all of the sudden really busy so they didn't have to see anyone for the rest of the night so they can leave. Won't be back again. Just really upset about how they treated us. read more

Within minutes of arriving I was taken to a room and tested. I was told it wasn't the flu (which I was afraid I had), and was diagnosed and given an rx. I was better by that evening. I went there hopefully to get in quick and not have to schedule an appointment a week out with my primary physician. I did the web check-in and was promptly called and told it would probably be about 60-90 minutes before a room would be open for me. They called about 60 minutes later and said my room was ready and to come in. I only live 5 minutes away so I was there promptly. I ended up waiting over an hour in the waiting room. When I finally got in my room, it was another 30 minutes of waiting before the doctor came in. After the doctor checked me out he told me to wait in the room and he'll be right back. 30 minutes later I just walked out and up to the payment desk asking if I can pay the copay and leave. They didn't even have my paper work together and I ended up waiting another 10 minutes for that. Over 2 hours and I did web check-in which is supposed to allow you to bypass the wait. I know there are sometime staff issues or busy periods, but that occurs in every type of job. I know that I wouldn't have a job if every time I had staff issues or busy periods that I just let me job performance fall to crap. Apparently this Care Now is allowed to do that and stay employed. Save yourself time and go to a real doctor's office. read more

I am not sure about all the other patients that visited CareNow, Located at 3821 W. Spring creek Pkwy, but my brother experience the most unprofessional Dr visit that one can imagine, he was there for almost 3 hrs, and was told that his Urine test came back negative, he was hurting when he us the bathroom, thinking Urinary tract infection, but the test they say was negative. Yet they charge him 120. for a shot that they had to make in the office. Office visit 179. and other fees which will come later, something is very wrong with this picture... i will be contacting the manager or private owner of the facility and reverse those charges for absolutely nothing was diagnose for over 400. read more

I did their web check-in last Saturday and was attended to by Dr. Cudjoe. I can honestly say this was the best Dr. experience I have ever had! She took her time with me, was relaxed and genuinely concerned. She even gave me a breathing treatment before I left (severe flu). I only wish she had her own practice because she sure would have a new patient. The front end staff was efficient. The nursing staff was very good. Overall, a great experience in a not so great situation. Would definitely use them again. read more

The staff was so welcoming & friendly from the front reception to the PA to the doctor. The doctor was very thorough & after several test she recommended that we head to Medical City Plano ER for at CT scan. Luckily we did because she had an emergency appendectomy 4 hours later. read more

If I could give them ZERO stars, I would. I checked in online and went in after they called. I waited 40 minutes in the waiting room and was then taken back. After another 20 minutes waiting inside, the doctor looked at me, checked a couple of things and then said I had a sinus infection. He left. I checked my watch and he had been in there less than 4 minutes. The prescription regimin he gave me was incorrect (a medicine for fungal infections) and the steroids only treated symptoms. After consulting a physician friend of mine he informed me that everything they did was wrong and that I should be re-evaluated free of charge because they messed it up the first time. I went back in to be re-evaluated because they gave me the wrong medication and they wanted to charge me another $140 in addition to billing my insurance (after I had already paid $140 and billed my insurance company the first time). Needless to say I refused and asked to see a manager. I never raised my voice, I was perfectly calm and was very patient. I wasn't aggressive whatsoever. I just made it clear that I did not endorse their fraudulent practices. Apparently they're not used to people standing up for themselves because they clearly can't handle it when someone isn't willing to lie back and take their lackluster 'medical' care. Allison came out while Cynthia and Susanne gossiped about me like I wasn't even there. Allison was rude, unhelpful and threatened to have the police escort me from the building because I refused to pay for 'treatment' a second time. Do NOT go here. They will over charge you, double bill your insurance (insurance fraud) and will give you the wrong medicine so you have to come back (medical malpractice and patient neglect). If you check their physician's medical licensing history it's full of holes and often times they have had doctors practicing without a medical license. This business is the perfect example of the 'better than thou' attitude of many people in the medical field. They will use and abuse you if you let them, and if you won't they'll threaten you with law enforcement. If you want decent care, go anywhere else. Even the veterinary hospital could probably do better. read more

I visited this particular CareNow for an Upper Respiratory Infection. Happens every once in a while, and is an unpleasant experience. CareNow provided online check-in, prompt notification when I was ready, and I didn't have to wait long once arriving to see the nurse and shortly after, the physician. Both were very professional, courteous, and kind. My experience was without negativity, and I thank the staff for helping me get better. Will certainly be going back if I ever need to. read more

Our family has used CareNow a number of times the past few years. They are now our go-to urgent care for any after hours needs. Anytime we need an appointment, we just go online to start the process. Within a few minutes, someone will call us and confirm we are on the waiting list and give us an approximate timeframe. When they are ready for us to come, they will give us another call which puts our arrival in sync with our turn to be called back. All of the staff have been friendly and helpful and the doctor is always able to see us quickly and efficiently determine the best care plan to get us well again. From start to finish, the urgent care process has been efficient and effective. We are thankful to know that when the need strikes, we have a plan in place to meet our urgent care needs. read more

This is the worst place for health care that I've been to. And this is my first bad review ever. I just don't like writing anything bad for anyone, BUT...I think that I must warn people about my experience with this clinic. The main thing is that the staff doesn't care about doing their job right and I am not talking about just one person. But let me start; after I received my bill from them for my visit, which was just my annual physical check up that is covered 100% from my insurance (I don't have to pay even deductible for that) I found out that my insurance claim was filed completely wrong for something completely different and that's why I am receiving a bill. Well, that happens all the time - everyone can make a mistake, so I called the office and I asked why they claimed totally different treatment. They told me that it's their obvious mistake and they assured me that they are re-sending the corrected claim to my insurance right away. Few days later I decided to call my insurance to double check. The answer was that nobody has ever called them or submitted anything. So I waited few more days to give them time and about a week after my first call I called them again. Exactly the same story repeated again. Absolutely the same scenario. Promise to fix it right a way and few days later again - nothing. On top of that I was expecting my test results forever. After I did an ultrasound at different location (were I was referred by them) I was told that it takes only one day for the results to be faxed to the office. I waited more than two weeks and when I checked, the office told me that they never received them. I called the imaging company and after looking at their records they said that they did send them and that they have a confirmation that the office did receive them :) Bottom line - my results were lost. I was worried at this point so I asked the imaging company to resend the results. The lady at the imaging company was very nice (you can tell when somebody cares). She asked me to stay on the line with her while she fax the results and she told me that she did fax them successfully and that she has a confirmation again that the Care Now office received them. I waited 15 min. and I called the office to check. The immediate answer was: "we don't have the results". I can tell that they didn't even check, because to check it will take at least few seconds. So I was frustrated at this point and I asked them to check their fax or I told them that I will need to talk to the office manager. She left me on hold and went to check the fax. One minute later "Sir, we have your results". My question is why it needs to happen this way? I am sure that they received them the first time as well but with the care they provided they lost them (funny because the word "care" is in their logo). Anyway - this is getting really long but I feel that I need to share the whole story. O yes, there is more :( . After all that I went for a follow up for my test results. The physician told me to do follow up when the results are ready. I asked her if the follow up costs anything and she said "No, this is a part of your first visit". And I also know that this is how they do this everywhere. But at my follow up visit that physician wasn't there and the staff wanted to submit it as new doctors appointment ?!!?That means to pay everything that was already payed one more time. I have done tests with my previous doctor - I have never had to pay for going over the results again. That's even funny. My high blood prescription was given to me for only a month (my previous doctor was giving me the exact same prescription for 6 months so I don't need to visit him each month for something that I've been taking for years. The people at that location just don't know what they are doing - its a complete mess at that office. Let me mention that I also did a web check in for my follow-up visit. 5 minutes after I did my web check in they called me to confirm it and they told me that it will be 2 hrs wait time and they will call me when my room is ready. After 4 hours of waiting nobody called me. I called them and they said they can not find my check in documents. When I was finally tired of all this I went there in person and after I talked to a manager they did find my check in documents. I asked them why my insurance claims are not fixed yet. They assured me that they resubmitted them the right way. I decided to call my insurance because I completely lost my confidence in these people and guess what: Insurance told me again that nobody has ever called them or submitted anything to them. AGAIN. Well..Whoever reads this, my advice to you is just do yourself a favor and find a better place to go, a place where they will do their job right. read more
