Are we allowed to give no stars? I have great health insurance with an HRA. I am sick and since I've recently moved I don't yet have a PCP. I have had the same health insurance for a few years so I understand how it works. I was told that after the rest of the $150 of my HRA is exhausted by this visit, all other charges would be expected to come out of my pocket. I have a co-pay. Insurance pays the rest. They said I would have to pay everything outstanding above $150 out of my pocket that day. I told them to cancel my appointment, no other urgent care clinic I have been to has ever operated this way. I turned around and walked out. There is something amiss about this place. My Husband and I tried to decipher what the front desk lady was saying 3 times and she never explained it the same way twice. It's not that we didn't have the money to pay out of our pocket, it was the fact that they are in network and should be filing with our insurance company. I was tired of playing their games, I was extremely ill, and did not have the strength or the patience to contend with their unprofessional practices towards an insured sick person. No thanks! I'll take the old fashioned route and rest, drink plenty of liquids, and wait out my illness rather be swindled by CareNow. read more

The online check-in made it so convenient to wait at home till we got the call. After we arrived it was only 20 minutes till we were in a room being seen by a doctor. The staff was so welcoming & friendly from the front reception to the PA to the doctor. The doctor was very thorough & after several test she recommended that we head to Medical City Plano ER for at CT scan. Luckily we did because she had an emergency appendectomy 4 hours later. read more

Horrible place. Slow, not friendly and not a complete exam. Sprained ankle, workers comp Doctor never looked at my foot. How u feelin? Good. Ok come back in 2 weeks and this was after waiting 2 hrs since in did not check in on line but only 2 people in waiting room, really??? read more

I visited this particular CareNow for an Upper Respiratory Infection. Happens every once in a while, and is an unpleasant experience. CareNow provided online check-in, prompt notification when I was ready, and I didn't have to wait long once arriving to see the nurse and shortly after, the physician. Both were very professional, courteous, and kind. My experience was without negativity, and I thank the staff for helping me get better. Will certainly be going back if I ever need to. read more

Came here to complete a simple drug screen for a new job. Checked in and waited an hour and a half before I was seen. Appointments for drug screens are not taken, I had called ahead and they explained they're walk-in only. read more

Our family has used CareNow a number of times the past few years. They are now our go-to urgent care for any after hours needs. Anytime we need an appointment, we just go online to start the process. Within a few minutes, someone will call us and confirm we are on the waiting list and give us an approximate timeframe. When they are ready for us to come, they will give us another call which puts our arrival in sync with our turn to be called back. All of the staff have been friendly and helpful and the doctor is always able to see us quickly and efficiently determine the best care plan to get us well again. From start to finish, the urgent care process has been efficient and effective. We are thankful to know that when the need strikes, we have a plan in place to meet our urgent care needs. read more

The front desk representatives were nice...but this urine collecting man name james berryhill had two patients me and one other client he called the man back and sent him on his way and made me wait a hour on top of the time I got in the facility which totaled 1 1/2 hour plus I told the front desk I had to urinate urgently and she relayed the message to the urine collector mr james berryhill and he was very rude meaning condescending had told me pick a cup out of 3 I picked it up he put it back down then gave it to me then gave me instructions not to overflow the cup right no sign in the bathroom at all that should say please do not flush and he didn't tell me not to flush because he needed to inspect the toilet well he thought he was so slick and he wrote on my pre employment paperwork that donor flushed toilet before inspection how obvious of a BIGOT are you! he also typed my name, social security number and phone number in the system wrong so I had to have him correct it and he also did something else shady a.k.a sneaky and evil the electronic pad to write your name on he scribbled on it before I wrote my name to make it look ugly...this man is old enough to be my grandpa he's childish! and I guess the animal d.n.a came out in him because he was on attack mode smh! read more

I arrived just before it opened. The doctor was attentive to my questions and addressed my concerns. Service was prompt and they had the fore site to obtain lab work early in based on my symptoms to improve wait time. Everybody was professional and friendly. I preregistered the night before (after hours), but didn't d wait for them to call me. I have had negative experiences with pre-check in and called to come in only to wait an hour to be roomed. read more

Excellent service,. Set an appointment online, they called five minutes later to let me know they were running two hours late and would call me 30 minutes before they could see me. I was so surprised when they did call back and when I get there I only had a five minute wait and was show into a room. Excellent service!!!! read more

It is so sad to see that the ones who are in charge of your health are thieves and liars who try to get rich quick by ripping you off. I sent my son to the CareNow on Spring Creek PKWY in Plano, TX for flu treatment. the front desk lady told him the charges would be $110.00 to maximum 158.00 Dollars. Dr. Vivian Jones charged and over charged my son for every step of diagnosis when it would have been free or charges explained by the other care providers. by the time it was said and done, less than 5 minutes, the bill was $350.00 . Had a great experience here. Checked in online and was quoted a one hour wait time. In less than an hour they called and said my room was ready, and when I arrived, I only had to wait a few minutes before being called back. The staff was very nice. I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection and given a shot and two prescriptions and was on my way. Overall it was a quick and pleasant experience and I'll definitely return in the future for my medical needs. I even received a follow-up call the next day. read more

Dr. Tami and her staff are simply amazing. They are always concerned about your symptoms and illnesses. Dr. Tami has been able to remedy our illnesses every time we've been here. And web check-in is the best. Once we receive the call to come to the clinic-we only have to fill out a few papers and then we are back in an exam room in no time. When I arrived after receiving my Web Check-in call, I was not greeted at all. I don't remember the name of the tall male with the dark hair behind the counter, but he was absolutely awful. Seemed inconvenienced that I was there, was completely dismissive. He didn't seem to know what to do or how to do his job, no ability to multi-task let alone follow a single task without issue. Once I finally made it into a room after waiting nearly 30 minutes (Why bother calling me if you weren't ready to receive me like you said? I drove 20 minutes and still had to wait a half hour before even getting a room.), I had the displeasure of dealing with Dr. Lam. She had zero bedside manner, and honestly did not listen to what was going on with me, the patient. I would not call her a competent doctor. She barely made eye-contact, hardly anything I or my boyfriend said seemed to register with her at all; it was like she didn't care what we were telling her about my symptoms. She prescribed me the wrong medication after I specifically told her my insurance wouldn't cover it, and the other medications she gave me I basically felt I had to fight for so I could get SOME relief from a $35 visit. Why bother being a doctor if you're not there to listen and actually help people? Why is it SO difficult to acknowledge and give a patient what they need? It's not like I walked in with an illness I had never experienced before. This wasn't the first time I had experienced this illness (tis the season), but Dr. Lam acted like it was the first time she had to actually give any treatment. I'd rather spend $150+ at a real urgent care facility than deal with Dr. Lam again. I will say that Alma was nice and the person that checked us out was pleasant enough, but that hardly makes up for anything. I even called back the next day requesting information and possibly other assistance; neither the nurse nor Dr. Lam were helpful (again). I will not be visiting her again, nor do I recommend that anyone else take the chance on spending their money to feel like you don't matter, and to receive hardly any assistance or satisfaction. I spent 3 hours at their place the first day. The first dose of medicine made the symptoms much worse and i have been calling them about 10 times and they keep rerouting me or keeping me on hold before they answer my call. Even after that the Doctors are so precious that they dont have time/interest to come on the phone for their patients that too when their prescription is not working well. The doctor will only talk to us if we pay them again for a visit. They have stupid policies and just dont know any word other than Policy Policy Policy. Just a few patients to attend and still they take hell amount of time to cater to them. A lot of time wasting and lot of unnecessary information to fill and still the medication is no good. read more

I have been going to this CareNow for many years after work. I put myself or my family member on the list by web check in. In about 15-20 minutes, someone usually calls and tell me how long the wait is. It's usually one to two hours, which is ok because we are waiting at home. In the past few years, however, when we were called to come in, we also had to wait about an hour in the lobby. I always wondered why we were told to come in if they were not ready for us. However, this time, we only waited about 5 minutes to go into a room and 5 minutes later, doctor came in. Doctor was very nice and both my daughter and I liked him. I really like the fact we did not have to wait in the lobby for along time. I hope this is the new standard for CareNow. If not, it should be. When a sick person gets a call to come in, have a room waiting for them. Also, I have a new insurance that no one ever heard of before and the ladies at front desk only let me pay our deductible, even though they could not verify at the time of our visit.
