I've been going here on and off for years, but I haven't been for a while. It felt quite odd today--very much as Dawn L. described on 4/26/2024. I've always enjoyed it as an excellent, no frills, very affordable place. Now it looks run-down and seedy (with old fishtanks by the unmanned customer desk). Even though I made an appointment, they weren't ready for me; the guy who did my mani-pedi was also answering the phone and making appointments, mostly saying they were very busy, which they didn't seem to be. Although they still say "walk-ins welcome," it doesn't seem as if they would be able to accommodate you. There seemed to be two women giving massages to two men. I wonder if that's most of their business now? For my manicure, in particular, the water for my nails was cold which meant when it came time to cut my cuticles they weren't very softened and one even started to bleed. I'm really sorry to write this review, but I doubt I'll go back until I read that someone else has had a significantly better experience. read more

Recently visited this business as I was referred by a friend. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't good. I decided to bring my aunt visiting in town who wanted a foot massage. We booked appointments same day for 30 minutes foot reflexology. My foot massage was at bare minimum just okay. During my foot massage, she didn't provide any pressure after I asked twice. I've had many foot massages before and this was very disappointing. I mentioned to the manager at the end but he seemed to ignore my comment / not care when telling him. The massage was good; the gentleman went a bit too hard and I have bruises all over my body. A gentleman did my manicure and pedicure and he did a terrible job; I had to ask a woman to fix his gel manicure because there were bumps on every single nail. He missed many steps too. I can do a better job than this. He didn't even put lotion water or oil on my cuticles. I will post pictures. I am willing to give this place another try and will update my review. DO NOT COME HERE!!! They employees are shady. I came in today for just a regular pedicure shortly after they just opened for the day and they denied me service with the reasoning being "we have 9 am appointments booked." It was 9:45 and the salon was empty aside from the workers. Also does not even make sense because they open at 9:30. When I asked to clarify the male employee just began to mumble something under his breath and then said "10 am appointments booked already." Incredibly lazy workers that couldn't be bothered to do a pedicure I guess. This is after me giving them a chance after they butchered my manicure and caused me to bleed on multiple fingers and they are also always so pushy about giving them a tip. Never again. We're done. We've been coming here for YEARS and the last three times have been horrible. The first, I thought it was just off...but the girl massaging me had the cordless phone in the room and kept answering the phone- during my massage. The second time, the guy went in and out of the room FIVE TIMES, leaving the door wide open. I'm laying there with half my body exposed and he kept leaving the door open. This final time, the lady doing my husband's massage was on her phone texting, the entire massage! Because I got reflexology this time, while he got a massage we were both in the back and I could hear her phone ding then he said she basically just rubbed on him with one had and was texting with the other. I think they changed ownership b/c it's not the same people. I've given up and we will NEVER go back. My boyfriend and I went here for two massages At first he said the total for both would be a $100, since we got the 30min + 30 min reflexology. So when it was time to check out, I gave them my card and he acted like he didn't know how to use the machine swiping my card more than once, which I dislike. Then he proceeded to say it's actually $106.93, we added "tax". I have never been to a nail salon or massage parlor that added tax. So anyways, my boyfriend left a tip because we thought the massage was "okay" and as we proceeded to write down the tip one of the female massage therapists kept saying "THAT'S for TWO PEOPLE, tip for two people" Last time I checked there is no law for certain amount to tip anyone, and they definitely didn't deserve more than a $5-$10 tip, the massage was pretty basic to me. And he already basically gave himself a tip with the "Fake tax" they added on of 6 dollars. Wouldn't return NO THANKS! Unless I want to get ripped off again. read more

I've been to carefoot about a dozen times and I have mixed feelings... On the one side their reflexology is wonderful and extremely well priced on the other their scheduling system is in disarray. Even if you make an appointment there is no telling how long you'll wait. I understand how busy they get especially in the evening because they are one of the few spas in the area with such amazing hours... but you just never know. My most recent experience there I had waited a 1/2 hour and they told me they couldn't take me anymore because someone had called earlier and they were worried she might show up... A one hour foot massage at a very reasonable cost. What's not to love? The staff was friendly and attentive. The setting appears to be brand new, clean and calming. The foot massage does take place in a darkened room with pleasant music and very comfortable massage tables. Everything seemed generous from the foot bath strewn with flowers to the 15+ minutes per foot. I hope they can keep their high quality at such a reasonable cost! I'm a fan for sure. I was here one the recommendation of my friend Sun and had a great experience. My masseuse was Sherry and she was very friendly and attentive. Although the shop was quite busy, the room was very quiet, cozy and warm. Sherry gave me a 60 minute Swedish massage that was super relaxing. I really enjoyed it and the hour flew by. Had an excellent massage this sat right after my exercise toning class. We went as a group of 5. Staff was very friendly and polite. We all liked it. My calves were sore after the deep tissue massage on them but only for a day. Sunday I was completely fine. I did feel the need to hydrate all day Saturday to flush out the toxins afterwards so make sure you stay hydrated after the massage for at least a day. read more

My weekly gateway...I work a lot, so the reflexology is completely needed... I've been doing it every week for more than a month now. I love it! Service is always nice and attentive, and for the money, you can't get a better deal anywhere else. Hot towels, hot rocks, back, arms, feet, amazing... I do my mani-pedi here also, and for the colors, it's true, not that many options, but I'm sure everybody can find something. I'm not too picky when it comes to that, so for me it works out just fine. Going for pedi? You get an extra 5 minutes of massage there too. Plus the hot rocks. You can't say no to that... They do need to improve their scheduling system, since I had some minor issues at the beginning myself, but now I go at an off-peak hour. I get all the time and attention needed, and never had problems ever since. Oh, and they have an extra discount for Mondays and Tuesdays and a reflexology package. Awesome!!!! It's heavenly and so reasonably priced at $36 for 1 hour. I bought a package of 5 and got the 6th one free. The staf f is very friendly and attentive. This was my first time at Carefoot Reflexology and I must say they're foot reflexology is amazing. I made my appointment 30 minutes before arriving and they took me right in upon arrival. They do the massage in the back room which is clean, dimly lit, soft music, great temperature, and relaxing beds with a backrest that sits up which is nice because I can't lay flat on my back because of pregnancy. They are very professional drape you with a towel over your body and eyes, accommodated me with pillows and asked if the temperature was fine which it was. I'm 8 months pregnant so my feet have started to get swollen and hurt all the time. I went here because my boyfriend had gotten a back massage here before and he said it was great! (We've tried a lot of different spas and the massage here has been the best) I initially asked for the 30 min foot reflexology which is 25$ but I felt so relaxed that I upgraded to the one hour(39$) in the middle of the massage and there was no problem it was perfect! Great pressure and the hot stones at the end was very nice. They also massage your calves. I got my shoulders neck and head rubbed at the end of my massage. I walked out of here feeling great. After reading so many positive reviews, I wanted to give Carefoot a try. I have a medical problem that has caused me a great deal of stress and depression. I have gone to my local hospital for reflexology and it has helped me, but as I'm disabled and cannot work, I don't have a lot of money. And the hospital was getting super expensive. As we all know, most insurance plans don't recognize alternative medicine. Ugh. So I decided to give Carefoot a shot. I want to preface this by saying that this is my first time going to a salon for this type of service and I had no idea what to expect. I walked in and told the man at the desk that I had made an appointment a few days ago. He had no idea what I was talking about and I made the appointment with him. Well, that's ok. He took me into the back room where all the beds were. I was sort of creeped out because there was no one there but me. On the bright side, I got the place to myself. ;) No big thing. I sat down on an ottoman in front of my bed and then was told to place my feet into scalding hot water. I nearly died because it was so hot. But the young man was so sweet and went to get me a pitcher of cold water and poured it in. I had no idea what was going to happen next and I was sort of on edge because no one spoke English so when I was trying to express what I needed, nobody understood. The young man began to massage my neck and back and I have to be honest, it really hurt. I didn't find it relaxing at all. I turned to him and asked him if he could please be gentler and he didn't know what I was saying. But then he kind of understood somehow I guess. But shortly after, I was facing the same pain again but I didn't say anything because I was sort of shy and I wanted to really experience this the way it's supposed to be. Maybe that was my fault. He started banging on my back and this caused me a lot of distress because I have a neurological condition which makes me very dizzy. This was triggering many symptoms. I asked him if he would please stop. But he again, didn't know what I was saying. It was very frustrating. I then, l went to lay down on the bed where the reflexology part came into play. That's what I went in for. It was nice. Not super relaxing but ok. I didn't expect a calf massage and hot stones, which was lovely. Ugh....then came the really painful part for me. I flipped over and he massaged my spinal area. It was so painful, I almost got up and left. This wasn't his fault. There was just no communication and I sincerely thought that there would be a quick consultation beforehand with someone familiar with reflexology so that I could explain my health concerns. But there wasn't. While I was being worked on about 4 new customers came in and I wasn't alone anymore. I really felt like this was sort of factory-like. I felt uncomfortable and sort of bad for the young man who was serving me....like I felt it was demeaning in some way. I don't know. At the end, I wanted to thank him but he walked out really fast. And I left a tip with the man who booked the appointment, but I have a very strong feeling he did not give it to the young man. It's just a feeling I got. I wish I could leave 3.5 stars instead of 3. But I can see how it could be relaxing to some people. It just wasn't relaxing for me. I was in immense pain for the rest of the day and for a few days later. Overall, the staff was friendly and courteous. But I can't say that I'd go back because I have very specific needs and they weren't met. Nonetheless, I sincerely hope Carefoot does well because their staff work very hard indeed. read more

This is the perfect place to unwind for 60 mins for $39!!!!! I have been here many times for the reflexology, the hot foot bath feels so good on cold winter days. I do agree that the water at times is a little too hot but you tend to get used to it fast. You start out with an amazing shoulder and head massage followed by the foot massage which ends with hot stones. I went here on 2/14/17. I made an appointment for just myself to get a mani-pedi. When I got there a few people were wrapping up their own mani-pedis. I didn't really have to wait, I had shown up a bit early, so it was expected. The pedicure was first, I got the basic one for $20 since it was my first time in here, pretty standard pedicure, but a nice surprise was a quick hot stone massage. My pedicurist, was a gentleman, who seemed preoccupied with the people who were walking in, I'm not sure if he had an appointment someone who was due to show up or what, but it was off putting watching him pay more attention to the door than the job at hand. But he still did end up doing a good job. He started doing my manicure, got as far as clipping my nails, then passed me off to a lady. (i think the appointment he was looking for had shown up, a bunch of people had walked in) The lady I was passed over to was great, friendly, did a good job. The manicure was also really standard, only $10 so I'm not expecting anything out of the norm. Overall it was a job well done, I definitely want to try their other pedicure options, there are like 5 or 6. Of varying prices from $25-65 I think was the highest. They all include the pedicure treatment(chocolate, green tea, lemon to name a few), callus removal and a foot massage. I think I might make this my pedicure place. The one truly negative thing I do have to say about this place is the color options for the mani-pedis. They have a very slim selection, its great if you're a fan of reds and pinks, but any other colors, you're out of luck. (I personally hate pinks). read more
