I purchase a Groupon for a couples massage for me a my boyfriend. It was our first time going to…read morethis spa in particular but we have gone to several other places before. We don't have any complaints about the massage itself or the cleanliness of the room. We appreciate that they got us in so fast. I called Thursday afternoon and they got us in for a Friday morning appointment. I would not recommend this place to anyone going for the first time as they don't take any information. They didn't even take my name and phone number upon scheduling appointment. There was no question of gender preference nor any paperwork to complete when we arrived to specify what we like, don't like, any places we want focused on, or injuries/pain. We got there, they brought us to the room and just told us to go in and shut the door and walked out. We didn't know whether they were ready for us to get undressed or if they were coming back, it was alittle uncomfortable as every other place we went to introduced themselves and reviewed with us what we were looking for before instructing us that they would leave the room so we can prepare. Here we just got dropped in the room with no instruction. Luckily, we were the only ones there because while we lay naked on the bed with only half our bottoms covered they would open the door and walk out of the room for the hot towels and stones. Overall, it was a good experience just not personalized and probably not the best place for a first timer.

Apparently, they had booked someone else and, rather than taking responsibility for their oversight and figuring out an appropriate solution, they cut my massage short and asked me to leave. Completely ridiculous and incredibly unprofessional. A massage is supposed to be relaxing--not something where you're suddenly told you have to leave halfway through because the business messed up its own schedule. The way the situation was handled made it even worse. I left honestly shocked by the level of customer service. I would not return or recommend

I am incredibly upset with this business. I just purchased a Groupon for my 10 year wedding…read moreanniversary. I was married on 5/31/2015 so I bought a couples coupon for 5/31/2025 on Groupon. I spent $132.00 for it. I then called to schedule our couples massage and the owner/employee said "You can't use your Groupon for the weekend" and I kindly explained that this is the day of my anniversary. I then even offered to bring in the coupon and pay the remainer (full price) in cash. For a brief moment I thought she agreed to this but I was mistaken. She started throwing out dates in June ... and July .. for me to come in to use the coupon. I then said " I genuinely am just looking to schedule a massage. I don't want any trouble" because I could sense this was spinning and spiraling. She again stated the "coupon is for the weekdays only". I hung up and tried to cancel my Groupon order. I was able to cancel the order, but now I'm stuck with 'Groupon bucks' instead of getting a refund to my card. What an AWFUL 30 minutes. This was so unnecessary and I'm not going to use Groupon again. You know why? These business owners are resentful and angry at customers who buy them. If you don't want to provide the same level of service to a customer buying Groupon, then DONT CONTRACT with them. It's not fair to punish hard working and sincere people looking to save a few bucks.

I've been to a number of places in the Fairfield/Orange/Shelton vicinity for several years and I'm…read morevery happy to have found a consistently solid and talented massage therapist like Marilia. To make the most of my appointment I usually spend a minute or two discussing with her the key areas to focus on as well as noting anything I'm noticing healthwise such as migraines or sensitivities. She takes them into consideration and will spend extra time addressing certain pressure points to release tension. The sessions are very calming because she takes her time and doesn't rush. I like adding the aromatherapy and also the music and privacy of the space. She uses appropriate pressure and is comprehensive in addressing all the aches, knots, and stress of the week with a well-paced flow that allows me to enter a really deep state of relaxation. I've already referred friends to her and they are all quite happy as well.
