By bad luck - or poor attention to my health -recently I've had to consult way more MDs that I ever…read morethought I'd need to. Most offices are pretty well run, although sometimes the staff appears overwhelmed. The DC area is blessed by having a big supply of almost every kind of specialty, and plenty of them. So services like Yelp help a lot: Especially in avoiding the sinkers! While stinkers may be few, bad experiences cause them to get many more reviews than the good ones. Still, there are some more exceptional practices than reviews give credit to: Satisfied clients who often have many personal ills to worry about tend not to take the time to report these stars. One of the brightest stars is Ramin Oskoui, who is not just a prize-winning cardiologist but a genuine mensch. In my mind, he is the very model of what a wise physician should be. Many of my other physicians agree, and speak of him in awe. Of course, perhaps I'm biased. He has kept me alive when several other cardiologists wrote me off, and told me to put my affairs in order because I was to die in months or so. So, I don't think I'm biased, but just down-right grateful. People often say that in every field 2-5% are stars, and 25% think they are. Oskoui is the real thing - a star among stars! The staff of his clinic are also stand-outs, especially those that can hang in for years in a clinical practice where effortless excellence is taken for granted. Don't be fooled. In a field of show-boat surgeons and celebrity self-promotion, glitch-less performance doesn't call attention to itself. World-class performances can feel so natural that there seems nothing exceptional going on... Except when compared to rivals. If you need a checkup, or have a problem with your heart, don't miss this change to experience a prince of heart docs... and one with a heart.

She is thoughtful in her approach and very knowledgeable about her field of study. She helped to guide me towards a much healthier lifestyle which has allowed me to lose nearly 50 pounds and record the lowest blood pressure readings I have had in more than a decade! I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Dr. Wyche to anyone - and while you are there, maybe you should check out her father, Dr. Haywood Wyche to take care of your dental needs too since they are in the same office space! I always read Yelp reviews to aid me in making certain decisions & would like to help another…read moreperson the way others' reviews have helped me. I am extremely thankful that I participated & successfully completed "Challenge Takers" via Metropolitan Wellness Specialists, LLC "MWS!" Considering I'm a petite woman, when I gain weight it's pretty noticeable as there aren't many places for the weight to go. lol. Thus, my focus areas were my stomach, thighs & toning of my arms. However, my desire to lose weight wasn't only about improving my outward appearance, but also about improving my lifestyle. I wanted to eat healthier, work-out more, and be consistent with both. For me, it was always easy to start the fitness portion, but difficult to combine it with healthy eating. After talking with Dr. Wyche about my then diet (especially my regular cravings for red potatoes & rice *yum*), she developed a menu that I could willingly follow and not feel the need to cheat. Seriously, I LOVE food & am not an advocate of the diets that are two steps from asking me to starve myself. The most comforting fact about MWS is that I'm receiving professional advice from a practicing doctor, one that truly cares about my sustainable health & not "quick results." It gave me greater confidence in the meal plans & work-out suggestions. MWS' meal options were practical, still worked within my food budget & the staff provided me great encouragement throughout the challenge. Money is important in any arena. Before MWS, I kept finding that it was costly to eat healthier & the costs would discourage me from finishing the diet. On the striking contrast, Dr. Wyche's meal plans were well within my budget and saved me money in some cases (I hadn't noticed just how much I spent on chips until she and I spoke). Mid-way through the challenge, I increased my emotional health, learned that exercising was an outlet to relieve stress, and noticed visible results. My colleagues even complimented my appearance! When I finished the challenge, I surpassed my weight goals (lost 13+ pounds that consistently remained off), had more energy, was more productive (professionally & personally), felt very accomplished, and most importantly, adopted & still maintain the lifestyle. One year later, and I'm still using MWS' food tips--Dr. Wyche SINCERELY listened & tailored suggestions specifically for my needs. The challenge was beneficial to me in both 2012 & in 2013. I certainly will continue my trend & take another challenge this year as I'm in a different place in my life with new goals. I highly recommend Metropolitan Wellness Specialists, LLC!!

The waiting room was a bit confusing--there was a clipboard on the end table but it had the wrong date--after waiting to speak with reception they indicated to still sign in on that sheet. Things only went up from there. The front desk staff were nice and helpful. I did wish that they had sent the forms/link for preregistration ahead of time, but minor issue. They prefilled my info on the iPad and forms so I mostly just had to sign and update family history. Once everything is completed and any co-pays paid, they take you back to the room to get changed. You get to keep everything on except your top half. Yay for no freezing full gown. The changing area is cute (considering) and they have lockers for your personal items. Everything was clean and organized. I had a nice chat with another patient as we were waiting to be called to the radiology room. I got an absolutely wonderful tech who was upbeat, thorough, kind and funny. Zina (hope I got that right) really made the experience great. She explained everything, gave clear instructions, and chatted away so I was completely comfortable. While I likely just had the normal scans, it was not really painful. Will update this review if there are issues with getting the results or billing as others have mentioned, but would recommend right now!

The care and service was professional and as expected. Front desk employees were fine. However,…read morethe billing department of Washington Radiology is deplorable. Rude, rude, rude. I was overcharged for a service in early March. My EOB did not match the charge, so I was being denied by my HRA. Call after call was met with chaos. I was told to call back 3 or 4 times because my bill hadn't been processed or they couldn't find my information or they were in the middle of an update and couldn't help. When I got a bill, it was for $600 less than what I was charged and every time I asked for an explanation, the person on the other end just kept rereading the same talking point over and over. I paid over $1K at the time of service, was sent a bill for $466 and when I called, I was told I had a $0 balance. Will I get the $600 overpayment back - no. Why, no idea. Asked for a manager. None were available. I will never get service here again. The billing department employees are terrible at their job and the one who finally found my record kept interrupting me and reading the same lines from her script over and over.
