Lomo saltado is a favorite among my Peruvian coworkers and I see why, very tasty at this spot definitely a place to visit again, the environment is appealing as you can tell as soon as you walk into the restaurant. read more

My family and I come here when we are craving a good Pollo a la Brasa. They make one of the best Pollos here with the most flavorful seasoning and sauces on the side. I remember coming in here all the time with my family when I was younger as this was our go-to spot due to the good service and environment. We don't come as often as street parking is usually a bit hard to find, so we prefer to order out. Whether you like to sit in or take out, overall, I would recommend this place if you'd like a good order of Pollo a la Brasa with crispy fries. :-) read more

Food was delicious and service was gud. Definitely recommend this place. Place was nice and clean. A bit hard for parking though.

Definitely recommend one of my favorite spots offers delivery and carry out......... read more

Carbonazo - Best spot in Elizabeth - Peruvian Near Me - Elizabeth, New Jersey

Best restaurant in town. The rotisserie chicken is amazing!!! The customer service was very professional. We had a nice experience. read more

Fooooods fire and for a fair price. I'm def fw it. It's more of a mom & pops place and the main attraction is the food itself -As most restaurants are outside the main city's. There's A LOT of people ordering so adjust accordingly when ordering. They don't skimp and their chicken is fireeee read more

Their chicken is to die for. They cook it over charcoal, basically smoke it. It's a unique taste you won't find chicken like this any where around. You can choose 2 sides from rice, fries, and salad. I get rice and fries. They hand cut their potatoes and give you an enormous portion of fries. They give you green sauce which is spicy and basically crack, I dip everything in it. Their tallarin verde (linguini in a green creamy pasto/spinach sauce) is awesome too. If you are ordering out make sure you are there at the time they tell you, they have a tendency of giving away your order if you are not there, only downfall. Their food is everything! read more

Worst place ever! I waited over an hour for a lomo saltado. The lady mistakenly gave someone else's order to a customer. She called him back to bring it back and he did. She didn't throw it away, she put it on the counter to the side for the person who it did belong to - DURING COVID!! That means he opened it and breathed all over it in his car, he brought it back AND she's still giving it to someone else!!! Disgusting and unsanitary!!!! People standing everywhere were waiting for 1hr 30 mins. The lady will ask you for your name and what you ordered 5 times in the matter of 30 minutes and then say "are you sure that's what you ordered or if you possibly gave a different name!" They give you a time frame and still make you wait over an hour. Supposedly they deliver but they always say "no, it'll take forever to get to you, it'll be quicker if you come pick it up!" However, it's NEVER quicker, you just end up waiting 2 hours for something that should take 20-30 minutes. The 2 women in the front are CLUELESS on anything business/restaurant related. read more

This is one of our go to places because we love their chicken. It is seasoned perfectly. We usually get a whole chicken accompanied with salad & fries. The waiters are very friendly and the service is always very fast. Try to get there before 7pm if you'll be having the chicken because they seem to run out. read more

Yummy! They are open during covid! Peruvian food, packed with favor! Family owned! Great place!!

My favorite Peruvian restaurant hands down. I've been to a few, but this one is the best. They cut their own fries, not out the bag. And their green sauce is perfect. I'd buy a gallon if I could. read more

This is by far the best chicken I have ever had, the place is small family owned, if you plan on going call them and they will make sure they save some chicken for you! We also tried their ceviche and it's unbelievable.... the only draw back is no alcohol but you can take your own! read more

I went in in a Sunday at 4 pm. Very very very crowded. They worked the line and took about 25 minutes for us (dining in). Food was great as always. Just really hard to get a spot and get served. Great food otherwise. read more

I like the chicken from this place! And the reason for the review was because I ordered a "jalea" everything is fried so please check the food real close! My friend cut her mouth with a piece of wire while eating a piece of crab and it was a index finger long! The waiter got smart and took it out getting rid of the evidence also telling the manager what happened, later the manager comes to our table grabs the food and treated us impolitely and told us "you can go without paying". The food here is cheap and delicious and she isn't suppose to treat people like that. Hopefully they get regulated by sanitation and change manager as well. Enjoy! read more

I luckily stumbled upon this amazing Peruvian spot while looking for a quick bite to eat before handling a traffic court matter for a relative. I cannot believe how delicious the food was here. We walked in and at first were not acknowledged by anyone. But after 30 seconds, someone asked us to choose any table and brought us two menus. I am a huge fan of the Peruvian roasted chicken, so I ordered that. My relative got the steak, egg and rice dish. They were both amazing. The chicken was cooked to perfection. The rub was on point. They had the best green sauce I've ever had, and they kept the supply coming. Also, they had some of the best steak fries I've ever tasted, and that is saying a lot! The rice was also cooked really well. Even the salad dressing was phenomenal. I also tried the steak and it was pan fried perfectly. Plus, the service was really good. We didn't wait long at all for our food. Rest assured I will be back, hopefully sooner than later. read more

Food is ok but service is horrible Omg. Came to have dinner at 7:50 pm and they act like they didn't want me to sit down & have dinner like really. Then they proceed to tell me I can only order chicken and U can't order nothing else. Wow. Not good business at all. I wonder if the owner knows there doing this and practically turning customers away. Beware people not good. 10/31/16. Gave this shitty spot a 2nd chance and of course the same bullshit. Telling me there closed & it's only 7:45 pm when the sign shows they closed at 9 pm. Service sucks I'm done & not coming back again. Plus there rude as well. read more

I feel for the person that wrote the last post (9/14/2012). I can't imagine how disgusted and perturbed I would feel if I found a roach in my food. Also, I'm surprised they were not given a full refund, I would have totally refused to accept anything less. As for my review. I love this restaurant. They serve great dishes and for the price you get portions enough to two people. I love their rotisserie chicken! It is literally the hero of this location. Their green sauce (aji) and homemade mayonnaise are really delicious. They don't have a large menu but this allows them to focus on the dishes they serve which have never disappointed. On weekdays you can get their lunch specials (menú) which includes (pre-determined) soup, entree and beverage for a real low price ($8, I think). Best of all they deliver!! There are literally only two places in Elizabeth that can make such great rotisserie chicken and aji. I say this with confidence because I have tried various other locations and they just don't cut it. The location could be better as it is set on a busy street among old buildings. Their kitchen sometimes seems like it could be cleaner as well but I have never gotten sick from their food. In fact, I am waiting for a delivery as I write this. read more

Haven't visited Carbonazo in awhile and went at the request of my daughter tonight, and boy have I missed this place! The restaurant underwent a renovation and looks great, and the food was AMAZING!!! Chicken cooked to perfection, fries, and salad. All served fresh and hot. Fresh, homemade sauces and dressing. The spicy green sauce is my favorite. Their food did not disappoint. Will definitely be returning soon. read more

Terrrrrrrrrrrrrrible service!!! They close and open when they feel like. But food is good.

Great food, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I order my food at 10:30am to be deliveried the food did not get to the location until 12:15pm. I ordered 2 beverages that were not delivered and when I called to see why they weren't delivered the owner was very rude and hung up on me. The owner is not interested in customer feedback when her company is in the wrong. I love good food, however i dispise bad customer service especially when its to a loyal customer. If you're seeking a business that looks into their customers best interest DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!!!!! This place has the best rotisserie chicken I have ever tasted in America. In fact everything I have ever eaten at this restaurant may be the best thing ever! Seafood, Soups, Steaks, pork dishes and pasta, it's all good. There is so much flavor in the chicken, you can tell that tons of pride, care and even love that goes into the food. If you enjoy eating things, then you are doing yourself a huge dis-service by not trying this place. It's amazing. read more

It can be 5 stars but they are too busy. Long wait time for the food 1 hour or more some days for delivery, Other then that the food has been great, wood flavor on the bbq chicken, great fries that go with the sauce they give. So far so good, hopefully stays tasting good and they get better with service. read more

This restaurant doesn't even deserve a star. Service was horrible! Waiter took forever to sit us down. When we were finally seated she never bothered to check up on us and then it turns out our food had hair in it !! I told her I wasn't paying but she still had the nerve to charge me for the drinks (soda & a juice). She didn't apologize or anything. I will definitely never come again or order take out. read more

I was looking forward to eat perubian food, as soon as I enter the place a horrendous stanch hit me, the place smell so bad that I turn around and exit the place, I hope the owners give the place a deep cleaning, it is hard work tu run a restaurant just to ruin it from not having a well clean place, I wish them the best I hope they correct that big pitfall read more

New spot for pollo a la brasa! Your order is ready when you arrive, unlike Tito's Polleria. Chicken is always very well cooked, and their green spicy sauce if good as well. Parking sucks, but they deliver! read more

You will get SCAMMED!!! Me and family eat here once in a while but today we were scammed for our money. We ordered the combo which comes with a whole chicken and a side of fries and salad for $18. We also ordered two sides of rice as well as a combo to go. When we received our check we were astonished. They charged us separate for each item: the chicken, fries, and salad which was supposed to come together. The check was $60 when it was only supposed to be $40. We spoke to the owner and she gave the excuse that the combo is only $18 for to go orders which was never specified by no signs or the waitress. She also told us that the prices everything she is purchasing is going up: coward excuse. One combo that we ordered was to go and we were still charged separately for each item. WILL NOT BE RETURNING! read more

The chicken is really good. The best in Elizabeth. Everything else in the menu is very average. The Chica morada is really good as well. But the best thing about this place us the chicken. It comes with fries and salad. It can get busy, but definitely order ahead of time. read more

So I placed an order for delivery, the order never came, I called to inquired about my order. The girl on the phone told me (YELLING) that they were trying to call me, but I didn't have any missed call on my phone, I believe her, whatever. I asked her to calm down and she told me to GO FUCK MYSELF AND HANGED UP THE PHONE. So I'm taking the time to make this review because if their services is so bad that reflects on the food you eating! For me this was a done deal would never recommended and I will always tell my experience! read more

I MUST SAY THE FOOD IS GREAT BUT customer service suck !! very rude everyone at this place is rude !!! its so bad !!!

Just placed an order there for my coworker and myself. Her chicken was pretty dry. I ordered the lomo saltado and there was very little meat. In addition the meat that they did give was cut up extremely thin. Finally, my fries were so salty I had to throw them out. Had we eaten there, I would have returned the food and made an official complaint. However, we picked up the food. We ate there because several people had told us the place was great. I will not be returning there. read more
