D.E.S.I.'s design style matched what we were looking for: classic and functional, not cluttered or too formal, but livable while elegant. Throughout the design and build phases, the crew always showed great attention to detail and we were encouraged to add our input into all aspects of the job. Summary: We highly recommend Ultrascapes for a landscape build and/or renovation. You really can't…read morego wrong with hiring a company whereby the prideful owner remains involved with the project from beginning to end and treats the project as if it were for his own house. He is very focused on customer satisfaction. Details: We hired Ultrascapes to build a grill island to house 2 high-end appliances. We solicited ~4 proposals from various contractors. Ultrascapes' lump-sum fee proposal was in the middle range of all proposals received; which was good for us as we don't like to select low-bid nor do we want to pay a stupid premium for the same work. We ultimately selected Ultrascapes because we felt that the owner, Ryan, seemed to grasp our vision better, was helpful in determining design & materials, and was willing to work with our budget to make our project happen. Ryan is professional, responsive, involved, and stays committed to the outcomes of the project. He maintains high standards on the quality of the finished product as if he was completing it for his own property. In terms of schedule, Ultrascapes began work a week after authorization and providing our deposit to get materials procured. They stayed onsite almost every day through completion. There were some issues during construction from decisions made by his crew, but Ryan quickly corrected those issues and kept the project schedule. Ryan would visit the site almost every day to supervise the progress and quality. Another valuable point: He didn't attempt to nickel & dime us with various small change-orders that may not have been detailed in the original scope of work; he stuck with the original vision, outcome, and lump-sum fee proposal.

We have hired Ivan and his team for two projects on at our home…read more In 2019, we had an overgrown tree that had a limb blow down in a storm. We had hired him to trim the tree later in the week, but after the windstorm he re-arranged his schedule to pull us forward earlier in the week. We really appreciated this because the tree was dangerous to our home and our neighbors. They did an amazing job on our tree, and I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of that project. In 2020, we were written up by our HOA for overgrown aloe plants. I called several companies for quotes, and I decided to go with Landscape Guy when his quote was competitive with the other offers. He did us a solid favor the year earlier with the tree, and I trusted his work. We agreed on a day for the plant removal, and his team arrived in the morning. They were courteous and very thorough. In addition to removing the aloe plants, they also blew the front yard and carted off all the debris in our yard beyond the plants that they removed. They exceeded our expectations because we weren't expecting them to clean the seed, leaves and pods that had dropped from our neighbors tree onto our property. Regardless, once again they exceeded our expectations, and we'll be reaching out to them for a third possible project.

This is a big difference in expirence with landscapers I have dealt with in the past. I really appreciate the attention to detail paid at every step of the process.

I walked over and asked the crew leader to give me a price for that work. I liked the price and soon scheduled the work. Juan Carlos asked me about a tree replacement for what they were removing. We settled on a Mastic tree. Viveros Vision Landscapes did a great job! What I thought would take a day or more, they did in less than 3 hours! Including planting the replacement Mastic tree! Their 5-man crew was super efficient and the clean-up was thorough. This was a small thing but actually a BIG DEAL to a home owner --- 2 crew members held up a large tarp while a 3rd man was grinding down the stump of the removed PV tree! That little action kept sawdust and wood chips from flying all over my patio! You'll see that in the photos attached. I will use Viveros again for any add'l tree work I need.

I hired Outside Living Concepts to complete my landscaping project in May 2023. Unfortunately, the…read moredrip irrigation system they installed has become a major issue. Just this summer alone, I've had to repair and replace nine separate sections of the drip line due to leaks. At this point, I've replaced roughly 50% of the entire system myself. What concerns me most is that every leak has occurred in the same type of tubing, which is visibly worn and deteriorated. I even cleaned sections of the removed tubing to make sure dirt wasn't making it look worse--the material is simply degraded. For comparison, I installed another drip irrigation system line in 2021 using different materials. Despite being about two years older than the system installed by Outside Living Concepts, it has experienced only a single leak. I understand the project is now outside of its warranty period, but I don't believe a drip irrigation system should experience this level of failure after only a few years. The amount of time, labor, and money I've had to invest to continually dig up and replace the system has been extremely frustrating. What has been equally disappointing is the follow-through. After discussing the issue, the project manager told me they would send a crew out to repair the next leak. Just two days later, another leak occurred. I immediately reached out, but now two weeks have passed without anyone coming out or any meaningful follow-up. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I had hoped for better quality and, when problems arose, better customer support. Based on my experience, I can't recommend Outside Living Concepts.

So we decided to move forward with him. Not only did the job turn out perfect but he actually ended up getting everything done sooner than planned and he went above and beyond to make the job look as good as possible including throwing in a couple nice touches at the end that we didn't expect just to make sure it looked the best it could. Fast forward to late August.... This is where I'm very grateful we chose Mirage Landscaping. This year was brutal with the heat and unfortunately our beautiful new plants took a beating. I contacted Tony and he was out very quickly to look at our yard and evaluate everything. Without hesitation, he replaced nearly 1/2 of our plants (which was a lot) with no questions asked and didn't try to nickel and dime us or put the blame on us. What a relief! His warranty is as good as his word and his product! After he saw the yard, he had someone out in 2 days and everything is now replaced and beautiful again. I cannot stress how important that warranty was and him honoring his warranty. I've had other landscaping companies in the past that don't honor their warranty and it's very costly to have to come out of pocket to fix and repair their work. He probably saved me well over $1k-$2k by honoring his warranty and replacing my plants instead of blame shifting like most companies would and have done to me in the past.

The first few visits (as ABC) were fine, but then they went to crap about the time they say the sabotage occurred. OK...giving the benefit of the doubt, I contracted them to do clean-up and pre-emergent this month. The clean-up was not thorough. They missed two big piles of debris, possibly because they arrived late and didn't finish until after dark. The application of the pre-emergent was slip-shod. They put a dye in it, so you can see where it was applied, and where it wasn't. This was a half-assed job, frankly. And, similar to last summer when I fired "ABC", they aren't returning my texts or answering my calls, and their voicemail box is "full" per the automated message. In person, Christian is a nice guy, and seems earnest. But the way the business is run is unprofessional.
